There is no shortage of luxury hotels from which to choose in this amazing city, but I daresay this is the best. This was our first visit but I can’t imagine doing better. Location: utterly superb. The hotel is right by Chapultepec Park, Mexico City’s answer to NY’s Central Park. That puts multiple museums within walking distance. Don’t miss the museum of modern art or the anthropological museum. You can also walk to Zona Rosa and it’s an easy uber most anywhere else, such as the Polanco neighborhood for great shopping and dining. Service: flawless. The concierge scored us a table at a restaurant that was sold-out online. Before we arrived they arranged a balloon ride and private car to and from the pyramids. Friendly and accommodating and NEVER stuffy. I can’t say enough positive things about the staff at restaurants Sola and Carlotta Reforma, as well as the rest of the hotel. Housekeeping was over-the-top amazing. The room: heaven. We used Bonvoy points and were upgraded to a palatial junior suite on the 44th floor with panoramic views of the city. The bathroom is floor to ceiling marble. One of the most lovely and luxurious rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Bonvoy status: warmly acknowledged and rewarded. As mentioned above my titanium status was rewarded with a significant upgrade, and we were also treated with a special desert in the 38th floor lounge on our last day. We felt recognized and welcome. Other dining: compelling options. The excellent Tao group restaurant LingLing occupies the 56th floor, so don’t miss dining there. Same for Cipriano - neither are officially part of the ritz but you can’t beat going home via elevator after a big meal. Bottom line: an absolutely perfect, fabulous hotel in every way that counts.

This hotel is perfection! We were upgraded from our club level room to a huge and beautiful suite that had views to the east, west and south. It made our getaway feel like such a gift!! The location of this hotel can not be beat- right across from Chapultepec Forest and an easy walk to the many restaurants and bars in the Polanco. The staff is super responsive, respectful and pleasant. The club level lounge is wonderful- the staff welcoming and friendly and really excellent food and drink. When we come back to Mexico City, this is the only place I’ll stay. My husband and I highly recommend!!

Above and beyond! This was our first time to Mexico City and the Ritz was wonderful spot for a long weekend stay. Location: we loved the location as it was walkable to most all the areas we wanted to visit. It’s centrally located. We were able to enjoy the park in the morning and could get to the museums on foot. We felt very safe walking at night. We did have to take Ubers at times, but they were inexpensive and easy to obtain. Amenities: The gym was perfect! The spa was beautiful but we didn’t have time to enjoy it. No outdoor pool (I don’t believe any of the hotels in the area have an outdoor pool) Concierge and Hotel Staff: Incredibly helpful and thoughtful! When I mentioned we needed to make an adjustment to a reservation they were accommodating. I mentioned we had to change our dinner reservation as we were attending a professional soccer game. When we arrived back at the hotel there was a hand written note with 2 small gifts (soccer pendants) of the team we had gone to watch! The concierge was so helpful prior to our trip in assisting me with some hard to reserve reservations. The restaurant staff were equally wonderful. In addition, the front desk staff as well as the bellboys and elevator attendants. When we arrived the gentleman who brought up our bags was so wonderful. He helped us learn about the views from our window! Rooms: beautiful and spacious! The views were incredible. We were able to enjoy room service on our last morning from our balcony. Not all Ritz properties are equal. This was a very swanky, cool, modern hotel. Enjoy!!

This hotel is stunningly beautiful with the most spectacular views over Chapultepec Park. Our room was modern and spacious - bathroom had a gorgeous deep soaking tub and spacious standing glass shower and we loved watching the sunset over Mexico City from our terrace each evening. The highlight of our stay was the staff. Francisco, one of the bellmen, was so warm and bubbly and made us feel so welcome. We loved him and think he’d be an amazing general manager someday with his genuine care for people and ability to communicate with so much heart and compassion. Cant wait to come back!

The Ritz-Carlton Mexico City exceeded every expectation during my stay. The staff was phenomenal—genuinely warm and attentive. The concierge deserves special mention for arranging unforgettable experiences, including a helicopter tour that conveniently departed from the hotel’s helipad. It was a highlight of our trip and an incredible way to see the city. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was another standout experience. Every dish was exceptional, but the pollo mole was a revelation—rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. I highly recommend it to anyone dining there. The bar had a chic, lively atmosphere and offered expertly crafted cocktails, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. From start to finish, this stay felt like a perfect balance of luxury and adventure. Whether you're seeking relaxation or curated experiences, The Ritz-Carlton Mexico City delivers in every way.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location. However the attention to detail and service quality are surprisingly lack luster for the Ritz Carlton brand. Lifetime Platinum here and have stayed at other great RC’s before, which made the shortcomings here even more dissatisfying. Starting with the good: - The hardware is generally good. Great location, great views - Gym and spa were beautiful - The bell staff were very friendly - Concierge was great with helping with restaurant bookings (if they didn’t forget to respond) And with the not so good: - Attention to detail was all around… off. - Prior to arrival, I confirmed a restaurant booking with the hotel. I made sure to reconfirm - they had forgotten to confirm with the restaurant and the reservation was no longer available. - We were given an accessibility room (understand if hotel is at capacity) but the sliding bathroom door was broken which didn’t become apparent until the middle of the night. Good thing we’re able bodied and could still open it. You’d think they’d double check those things for an accessibility room. - Also water would go all over the floor from the shower due to poor design. - The balcony of my room had strange plastic still wrapped near the ceiling, which marred an otherwise nice view. - Room service was repeatedly slow and inaccurate. Asked for spoons and instead got knife + fork. Asked for kettle, got a broken one that didn’t work. Took 20+ min each time. - I also told the hotel before arriving that we were there for my partner’s birthday. They came by with a “gift” - a bottle of their free water and a small chocolate piece. Really Ritz Carlton? Better to tell me that you don’t offer anything for birthdays! In summary - there are many luxury hotel / Bonvoy hotel choices in CDMX. I’ve stayed at a handful of RC’s before and this was definitely the most disappointing one. Look forward to staying elsewhere when we’re back.

As a seasoned CDMX traveller and Marriott ambassador, I wanted to try out a visit at the RC to celebrate my birthday and change from my usual stay at the somewhat tired St Regis. I think the term at check is was “we see you’re celebrating something special and we’re excited to exceed your expectations”. Yes, please! Started off sold out with no upgrades available - it’s fine, not a big deal (NUAs returned), said as we were there for 5 nights we would be happy to change to a larger room later if one becomes available. Booked a 5 night, paid stay, 47th floor park view balcony standard room. The good: Views are amazing. Food and drinks are up to standard as well. Concierge was response and helpful. Staff are kind and polite when approached. The bad: Housekeeping. Housekeeping lights are essentially meaningless- we were actually told so. So don’t bother putting it on, you’ll be met with “we clean when we get to it, but you’re welcome to schedule a time.” First day nothing cleaned until after 5pm- no bottled water, coffee. Upon calling we were informed that having a do not disturb sign on overnight (removed at 10am) meant that they didn’t come that day (even with the housekeeping light on), our mistake. Cleaned while we were at dinner, but no water or coffee restock. Second day no cleaning by 1pm, we called and had them at least restock with water and coffee. The front desk recommended scheduling a cleaning time, okay. Third day, we lost our bathroom floor mats- and if you read other reviews, the showers really do flood the floor. Fourth day was the only normal expected experience, and the bathroom mats returned for the rest of the stay. I try to stay in some sort of luxury hotel for my birthday each year as a break from work travel. The hotels usually tend to add something special and make it fun to be loyal to a brand. With the check-in acknowledgment I was looking forward to even a card on the day to celebrate it- especially after the housekeeping issues. Nothing acknowledged- actually the first birthday stay to not have anything done. Look, it’s a beautiful place in an amazing city. Just don’t expect much more. Our stay may have been a combination of many small disappointments, but even given the chance to exceed it just left us a bit annoyed we spent what we did for what we received. An overpriced standard room with a great view and poor service. My recommendation, book the St Regis for the service, yes it’s a bit worn and tired, but you feel the value for the money. Grab breakfast or a cocktail at the RC. You’ll get the view and the pictures without the disappointment.

Difficult to know where to begin…everything about our stay was stellar. Ritz properties are my preferred places to stay when traveling and I’ve stayed in many but this property blew all others out of the water. We were made to feel welcome and cared for from the moment we checked in to the time we checked out. Our room was beautifully appointed, clean and very comfortable. The view to the park was stellar as was room service. Their spa area was relaxing and also gorgeous. We were treated to amenities we did not ask for such as a fruit bowl upon arrival, a beautiful desert and tequila arrangement one evening and even a complimentary mezcal tasting at their stellar bar. The hotel is also ideally situated within an easy walk or quick ride to top museums, the park, restaurants and so much more. Needles to say, this will be our preferred choice every time we return to this incredible city!

The Ritz Carlton Mexico City offers an exceptional experience that combines luxury and comfort with breathtaking views and top-notch service. Staying in a junior suite with a balcony allowed us to fully appreciate the stunning scenery, a true highlight of our visit. The spa treatments were a perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation, and the daily breakfast was consistently excellent. The only minor downside was the arrival hall. It serves more as a functional car drop-off and lift area, lacking the grand entrance one might expect from a hotel of this caliber. However, this was a small detail in an otherwise outstanding stay. Overall, the Ritz Carlton Mexico City delivers on its promise of luxury, making it a top choice for anyone visiting the city.

Great hotel in the heart of the cit
Great hotel in the heart of the city, walking distance to the angel, four seasons, and the castle. The views are beautiful. The rooms are clean and service is great. The check in staff is a bit more relaxed than other places but they are friendly and helpful.
