We had the most incredible experience at The One Barcelona! As someone who tends to be a bit particular when traveling—my husband and I both have high anxiety sensitivity—I was genuinely amazed by how everyone came together to create such a magical stay. From Mario at the front desk to Enrique, Rafael, and David, everyone was just fantastic. Room service was top-notch, and the spa experience was absolutely phenomenal. Our massages were pure bliss, and Aida was exceptional and healing! We loved it so much that we booked another stay just days after our cruise. The amenities and cleanliness were spot on, and they really thought of everything to make us comfortable. We can't wait to book again—just outstanding all around!

The One, Barcelona was excellent. The service was exceptional and the staff was top notch. We enjoyed everything from the delicious breakfast to the convenient location . The view from the roof top was beautiful . We would highly recommend.

Doesn’t feel 5-star hotel. Room is tiny! It’s also super weird, first hotel I’ve ever been to, that you enter the room through the bathroom. Wardrobe door doubles up as the bathroom door. Wardrobe is tiny too. Blinds and curtains were always drawn which was also unusual and made me...

Doesn’t feel 5-star hotel. Room is tiny! It’s also super weird, first hotel I’ve ever been to, that you enter the room through the bathroom. Wardrobe door doubles up as the bathroom door. Wardrobe is tiny too. Blinds and curtains were always drawn which was also unusual and made me feel terribly claustrophobic. I realized the reason for this peculiarity when I went to draw them myself; I was staring at a block of apartments about 5 metres away, looking into their yard (see photo). So it was a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea - have curtains and blinds drawn all the time (and live like a vampire) or look at windows with washing machines while occupants in the apartments across have a full view of you and your room and bed. Towels look good with “The One” embossing but don’t smell fresh. Claims to have given us an upgrade to a Deluxe room but I later realized this was not true (because our booking was for a Deluxe room LOL). First time I check into a hotel where they collect payment upon check-in. They don’t seem to trust their guests, unusual for a 5-star hotel to treat their guests that way. They have our passport and credit card details, did they think we will run off without paying? Only saving grace is the location is great, one block away from La Pedrera - Casa Mila, one of Gaudi’s masterpieces. It’s also possible to walk to La Rambla and the iconic Sagrada Família. The 2 porters are fantastic, really helpful and accommodating. Concierge is not as friendly; several times my wife said “good morning” as we walked past and he didn’t even bother to respond. Breakfast is excellent. The rooftop bar (Mood) is also pleasant.

We recently went on a two week trip through Spain and stayed in several fantastic hotels. The One in Barcelona differentiated itself by providing a customer service experience that was beyond expectations. Hotel rooms are hotel rooms. It is the people that make the difference.

The One hotel is without exageration or doubt, the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. I have stayed at this hotel now for 8 years in a row and I travel worldwide for work and it is truly fantastic and unmatched globally. Every detail of the hotel is immaculate and luxurious. The staff of all levels - from the bell boys, to reception, to waiting staff in the restaurant and bar are fantastic and true professionals at what they do. Nothing is too much trouble, they are polite, warm and friendly and courteous. Every time I have stayed in the hotel, it surpasses the previous experience and we leave with a renewed sense that this is a hotel that is simply world class and at the top of its game. The food is top class, as is the mixology on offer in the bar area. The rooftop pool and bar feels like you are in a different world. Wonderful and highly recommeneded.

We stayed at The One at the end of a Mediterranean cruise, after booking a reservation several months prior to our visit. We checked-in and found out that we had made a simple mistake of my wife and I each booking a room assuming that the other had not taken care of the plans. The hotel was nowhere close to full as we only saw a handful of other guests during our stay. We asked if one of our reservations could be refunded as we were not actually cancelling, just using only one room. The hotel refused and asked us to speak with Amex travel who reached back out to The One on our behalf. They offered us a credit for a future stay if we ever come back to Europe where most of their properties are. It’s hard to believe that a high end hotel like The One would treat their guests this poorly considering it was an obvious and honest mistake. It completely overshadowed what would have otherwise been an enjoyable stay, with the exception of the concierge staff having to be asked several times to simply arrange airport transfer in the morning. This was our first experience with this chain, and unfortunately it will be our last.

Lovely hotel with attentive staff. Generous portions of food beautifully presented. The roof top bar was pleasant and fresh. We enjoyed the wine suggested by the wait staff. Our room was comfortable and a good size. We were able to easily walk the neighborhood.

The hotel was great. Our room with the Terrace was amazing with an awesome view of the city. The terrace was very private with a rolling shade for sun and rain. We are definitely going back. The service was excellent with very personalized service.

Great location and great service. The rooms are very strange.. opens into the bathroom which takes half of the room. The rest of the room is very small. Not the kind of room you want to spend time in + our room had no view. Great roof top pool and lounge.

The breakfast was very good, the rooftop pool and bar/restaurant was awesome with great views. And best of all the hotel was close to everything you want to see. La Sagrada Familia and the main shopping and restaurant streets are just a few few blocks away. The beach and waterfront aren’t really that far away either if you don’t mind a nice long walk. I did it and I’m 71 years old. The people at the hotel were also great. They were very helpful with anything we needed. (Not that we needed much). Lol.

We would definitely return in the future.
