This was such a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the restaurant was delicious. I thought the hot chocolate bar was an especially nice touch and I LOVED that they had coffee in the lobby in the mornings. It's amazing how many hotels don't offer that anymore....
This was such a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the restaurant was delicious. I thought the hot chocolate bar was an especially nice touch and I LOVED that they had coffee in the lobby in the mornings. It's amazing how many hotels don't offer that anymore. The location was already conveniently located to the Underground and had a lot of amazing places to visit within walking distance. This was also the most comfortable bed we had during our stay in England.

A little diamond - what a beautifully looked after hotel in a lovely quiet location close to Russell Square. Eclectic in style and homely in nature I have never been made to feel so welcome (and given hot chocolate on arrival). Every member of staff was engaging and sincere. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. When we went out for the evening the bed had been turned down, curtains closed, slippers ready and water beside the bed when we returned. ……..and the bed! Oh my word! Never before have I slept in such a comfy luxurious bed - it was fit for a queen! The pillows, and bedding were all heavenly! And reading about the quality of the mattress anyone who is anyone would have one of these - look it up! It’s called a “savoir”. We had dinner at the hotel - I had the seabass and my husband had the burger - fantastic flavours and great quality - I would love to go back there again such a gem of a place ❤️

We have previously stayed at this lovely hotel and also popped in for drinks, a meal and several times to the Christmas Ski Lodge. It's a fabulous hotel and whenever we've visited you can always rely on a warm welcome. Staff are exceptionally personable and take time to speak to guests. Anyway, back to this visit. I had heard that the ski lodge was staying open past Christmas this to host a Cheese Fondue Experience. This nicely tallied up with our wedding anniversary, so we booked. The Lodge was appropriately decorated, music was playing and our fondue was accompanied by bread, new potatoes, cornichons, onions and there are optional sides you can add (we had a portion of prawns and German sausage). It was great fun, surprisingly filling and a bit different. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Afterwards, we adjourned to the Leopard Bar where we were surprised with a plate of mini macarons and cakes decorated for our anniversary which we really appreciated. Hoping to visit again soon, if not to stay, for one of the Jazz evenings or maybe Afternoon Tea.

Cannot fault this hotel or it’s wonderful staff. Everyone is friendly and always on hand to assist. We had afternoon tea which was just perfect & well priced, we also took advantage of the complimentary hot chain the lounge after we arrived as it was a cold & rainy day outside.
The room we had was a king garden view, which was adequately sized with a lovely comfy bed & it was so quiet so slept extremely well.
Can’t wait to stay here again

My husband and I spent the weekend here and cannot recommend it highly enough. My husband is well travelled and he felt this place was a bit special. The staff are absolutely brilliant warm friendly. It was our wedding anniversary when we arrived and there were complimentary petite fours and a card signed from the staff which was a lovely touch.
The staff were clearly very experienced and we were so well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone we met were a credit to the team . I am useless with names but I do remember Everett was outstanding.
The quality of the bedrooms and guest areas throughout the hotel are plush and cosy. which was essential on a chilly February weekend. Needless to say it was spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic for central London all the major attractions close at hand. We would have no hesitation in recommending Montague on the Garden as a great hotel; they are ambassadors of hospitality.

Our stay at the Montague was blissful from end to end. From the convenient location in Bloomsbury to the impeccable service throughout, the staff made us more than welcome.
Sure some rooms might benefit from a refresh. It’s spotlessly clean, though. Classic doubles are on the smaller side, but that’s enough for most people. The Savoir beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve experienced so far.
And the staff… well they are absolutely perfect. Warm, welcoming, incredibly polite, without overdoing it.
The Montague is everything you’d expect from much more expensive hotels. It feels luxurious, yet homely.
I’d gladly stay there again!

This is a lovely British boutique hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They were very attentive to any questions and issues we had. The hotel common areas are classic and cozy. The room was a tad small, but we expected that somewhat since it's an older, although updated, hotel. The room was clean and well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were good, although not many different choices from day to day. Finally, the hotel was in a great location, close to the Tube and kiddy corner from the British Museum. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel whole heartedly!

The best part, however, was the staff. Incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful. While we met many nice folks, we have to give a special shout out to TJ, who works in the Leopard Bar. Great service!

Excellent warm and friendly customer service. Location perfect for British Museum and a 20 minute walk to Covent Garden and the West End. We had a standard double room on the 2nd floor facing the road. Our room was cosy with a standard double bed. We had plenty of hanging space however due to the size of the room it was a little constricted but fine for a couple of nights. The floor above us was very creaky but not unexpected in a hotel of this age. The bathroom was on the small size with the shower over the bath. The lounge, bar and dining room is full of character. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice of cold and hot items. All the waiting staff at breakfast were excellent. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again.
