The edition is a very nice hotel with a great ambiance. However, I found it to be too expensive for what it offers. The room service charges are simply absurd, however the food is good. The front desk is great, but it seems like they struggle to keep up with demand. Most times, there was a big line. The bell boys and the staff at the entrance are absolute sweethearts and very helpful, o can’t thank them enough. All in all, the edition is a good choice.

We booked our hotel through Amex that, amongst many benefits, offers early check-in (when available) and, in case, the room ready no later than 4pm. We chose one of the best suites that, even if much more expensive, it seemed to offer much more space, better view, etc. We live in Miami, for us it was supposed to be a relaxing stay-cation, so we called since early morning to know if the early check-in was a possibility. We called 3 times and talked with 3 different people, including front desk. Nobody was able to give us a time. We decided to go at 2pm and enjoy the restaurant, fully aware that we might have to wait till 4pm. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel was understaffed: nobody helped us at the entrance with the luggages, nobody opened a door for us, the line to check in was long and extremely slow. Of course our room wasn’t available but - again - they had no idea when it would have been! We ask confirmation that 4pm is the latest time and the reply was “it should be…” They had our phone number but nobody tried to keep us informed while it was already 4pm. We ask for explanations and they looked lost, the room was not ready yet, they didn’t know when it would have been. They kept calling we don’t know whom (cleaning service? Someone else) but the feedback was always vague. Around 4.15/4.20 they inform us that the room will be ready after 5pm, but - again - they are not so sure about that. We cancelled, got a full refund and came back home. This hotel is not at standard of a 4 star hotels (let alone a 5 star) and we will never go back again. What a disappointment.

Our first time staying at the Edition Miami Beach and we have already made plans to return to this property next year. Attention to the details at the hotel is noticeable. Check in process ,pool area service, beach club staff, breakfast at the market, dinner at Matador restaurant , Spa services, check out were all flawless. Staff was very attentive everywhere. Hotel manager Christopher and Assistant front office manager Othon were always there to make our stay fun and comfortable.Ida at the Spa deserves a special mention also. We would recommend staying at this property without any reservations.

I’ve been spending time at the EDITION ever since it opened in 2015. Miami mostly has trendy spots that open, enjoy their 15 minutes of fame, then their curtain closes. The EDITION, meanwhile, had the rare formula to become an iconic mainstay on Miami Beach. All of the kinks and wrinkles ironed out from its early years, now is the time to stay here, if it wasn’t before. Legendary service from the likes of Michaella and KRod from front office and Eva from events elevate the experience tenfold. My wife and I had the most fabulous time celebrating our wedding here. We can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been staying in Miami Beach hotels for 30 years. You have to be as foolish as I, if you book this 2 star hotel that is pretending to be a cheese ball version of The Delano. The Staff has the 90s nightclub attitude to match. This is a Bonvoy hotel in name only as I’m Titanium for life, and when I asked for a nice room, they had the nerve to ask to up charge me from 300-1200 per day.. What? The hotel was wide open. But I got banished to the infamous 4th floor with a beautiful view of garbage, dead pigeons and a drain pipe. BTW I requested they remove the dead bird 3x on my first day and it took 4 days, The room is an AC/Springhill type with all the walls that slide but with less functionality. Think a Fairfield with less. They put out coffee in the morning that’s cold by 8:30 but they call this complimentary breakfast. Your exorbitant resort fee gives you the right to: Go to the pool or beach. At the pool I was greeted by a dog doing #2 by the diving board thing. At the beach we sat and watched the staff flirt with each other and ignore the guests. More dogs doing their thing btw. Bikes, which are mysteriously always being used , and a creepy underground skating rink. All the water stations are disgustingly dirty with used cups and sunscreen and sand. And they’re usually empty by 2p Spa? Please It’s nothing. A janky steam room and a dirty locker room and wait for it: They want 60.00 a day to use it. Hahaha The food here is so incredibly expensive and mediocre their own concierge will tell u to avoid it. Their signature restaurant was always empty. Matador. Look at reviews on that gem??!! Breakfast is avg for 100.00 mind u. Location. Mid Beach. You’re not close to anything. BTW they don’t rake here. Sea debris everywhere. Sat on hold unanswered for guest services when I needed something. I asked a question about the cold coffee one morning and I was told I should wake up earlier…. My review is not unique. The Bonvoy review site is filled with 1 stars like mine. Just like here on Trip This is my second stay at an “Edition.” Stayed at the Hollywood property and the attitude is the same. They make us feel like we’re intruders at a party we weren’t invited to. I guess Marriott created this brand to make me realize Courtyards were ok. Frequent travelers trust the Travel Snob. If you want 5 star service and accountability, abandon Bonvoy for AMEX Platinum Fine Resorts program.

Room was nice. Service at pool and beach was very good. Easy to get good chairs. (Mind you this was in November not a school holiday). Pool area and restaurant are very pretty. We went as a couple but there was some nice stuff for kids too. Nothing really going on there at night though but super close to other locations where there is nightlife. My only complaint was some usability issues in the room. There was a huge heavy sliding door that either covered the closet or the bathroom entrance so when you can enter bathroom, one cannot access the closet. When one is accessing the closet, you can’t enter or leave bathroom. Pretty stupid. In addition the design of the bathroom sink has so little clearance between faucet and bottom of sink, you can’t wash hands without bumping them against sink and you definitely cannot wash (or fill) a small water bottle. Didn’t ruin the experience, just makes you think, did anyone review the design of this room before making lots of them. I feel this way often at hotels.
