Very good wedding dinner and stay but lost a mark from us because the Lanesborough spa was really disappointing. The pool and steam rooms were both closed for maintenance for a whole week which was so disappointing. We weren't told about that in advance. When you're paying over £800 per night you have super high expectations so to have basically no spa facilities available was sad. The staff also weren't great at the spa, I pressed the buzzer lots of times for a butler to come to the spa lounge but no one came so I eventually had to walk all the way around to reception. There were very few staff around and they were also quite shy and awkward unlike the excellent butlers and waiters we experienced in the main hotel. I think we should have been told in advance the wet facilities were closed and have some kind of compensation for the lack of those, because it was a big draw of the hotel. It meant in the women's section there was just one sauna and a joint lounge to use. The spa facilities are honestly better at my gym Third Space. Apart from the disappointing spa the rest of the hotel was excellent. All of the food we had was good including at the three course wedding dinner. We got a room upgrade for free on the day which was really nice of them on our wedding day. The room was very large, with lovely views over Hyde park. For us personally the bed was a bit too firm and the pillows much too soft but that's a very personal thing. The butlers were excellent. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait for them to come but sometimes it was almost immediate. Ronald in particular was so helpful and friendly and nothing ever felt like too much. We always felt that they wanted to help and wanted you to have the best time. Ronald and another lady butler also did a great job packing my case. They did it so fast and well organised. They also always did a great job setting up our room properly for dinner with room service with a little dining table and everything. The team of waiters that served us in the Westminster Suite did a great job. Always extremely attentive and on the ball with refills and just alert to you calling them. Food was very efficient and tasty. We met the hotel's cat Lily which was extremely exciting! She is just as beautiful as her surroundings. The hotel dressed up the room for us as we'd gotten married which was nice and they also have us complimentary champagne. We definitely felt looked after the whole stay.

One of the finest hotels in Europe. We travel quite a bit and this hotel really stands out. We have stayed here several times and it always amazes us. From the moment you walk in you are treated as if you are visiting royalty. We had a large beautiful room overlooking Hyde Park. In the morning we could watch the Royal Household Cavalry ride by on their way to the changing of the guard. The hotel is impeccably maintained in every aspect. The service is extremely attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast is amazing and the pastry chef is a wizard. London is one of the best walking towns in Europe and this hotel provides perfect access to the park, Knightsbridge, Mayfair and everywhere else. Highly recommend.

I visited The Lanesborough for Christmas and enjoyed a completely beautiful experience. I travel a lot for my business and regularly stay in 5 Star hotels but the teamwork and service (with a smile) that i witnessed in The Lanesborough was terrific to see. I would compliment the Hotel Management on there choice of staff throughout the hotel but special mention for the front of house/bar/restaurant team, Shane, Tadhg, John (Restaurant -Kilkenny) , Yousra (hope selling is right), Michael (Library -France) and many others all of whom made every interaction friendly and fun. The Lansborough building and interior decor is superb but memories are created by people and the Lanesborough 'Ambassadors' of which I have named but a few will make your visit and stay a truly remarkable experience and I will be back. Thanks a Million - M and P

We went on a Wednesday evening for drinks and a light supper in the Library Bar and had a really wonderful evening . We had some champagne and a very delicious white pizza . Our servers Kaelen and Sandro were absolutely delightful-chatty and professional at the same time . Really made our evening and they are a credit to the hotel . It was lovely to have a pianist and singer although sorry to say the singer didn’t have the best voice . The chap in concierge desk from Glasgow was also really great . You do have such fabulous staff who make all the difference . A great evening 🤩

Probably the best 5 star hotel we ever stayed in and we have stayed in dozens of 5 stars in Europe and the US. The service is personalized and exceptional and the butler service is second to none. This is a small boutique hotel with around 95 rooms and the entrance and lobby is stunning and quiet. We had afternoon tea at the Ritz, another hotel we considered staying at and the Lanesborough is clearly the superior property. The Ritz lobby was crowded and given the excessive number of rooms we understand that the service is not as personalized. The location of the Lanesborough is far superior to the Ritz.

Thoughtful Touches & Genuine Smiles
Hidden touches of thoughtfulness everywhere - that's what made this stay special. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their work, which created this infectious positive energy throughout the property. The way they balanced professionalism with personality was masterful. Even the simplest request was met with enthusiasm, but never felt overwhelming....

We stayed 4 nights in the pink suite, view on the green garden close to hyde park, nothing special to say about the room, everything was perfect, including the butler service. Large gym and pleasant little swimming pool, great spa but we didn't try it. Stylish restaurant featuring a glass roof and huge chandeliers, beautiful paintings (see photo), magnificent bar also . We had beakfast and dinner each day, very good meals, efficient and discreet staff. Very good central and quiet place to organise visits of London.

We had a fabulous stay here. It’s a lovely hotel but what shines out is the friendliness of the staff. Everyone goes out of their way to remember you and interact whilst remaining professional. We booked here because of the cigar lounge ( which was great) but enjoyed the whole experience. The hotel is a good size with 98 rooms and all the facilities you need but it is not too big. Food and drink is of high quality and the location excellent. Worth choosing over other luxury hotels.
