Rolled up to this tiny door next to a steak house and was scared,little tiny corridors which led to an amazing moon. It was clean and modern very contemporary,quiet. The Room size was perfect and a great clean bathroom. Breakfast was great and had a very good variety of popular breakfast items. Overall I can recommend this hotel to anyone, the subway station Bart is less than 500 meters away which takes you straight to the station. Location is central and with a clipper card gets you around city. Make sure you visit Japanese garden my favourite

We just got back from a 4 night stay here. We splurged on the suite, and it was well worth it. We had a good-sized living room, a very comfy king-size bed, and a huge bathroom with an amazing shower, double sinks, and a vanity. The location is amazing , right by Union Square and walking distance to many attractions. The free breakfast is not stellar, and I wish they had a few tables instead of grab and go, but I have to remind myself we are not in Europe. I would definitely stay here again.

Such an amazing and comfortable experience. The website says if available, they’ll upgrade your room when you get there and they sure did! We ended up in the suite and it was sweet. Beautifully renovated, especially the bathroom. Fantastic stay. All staff are very friendly, kind, and quick to help....

We ended up using the trash can and it leaked through the plastic insert onto the table, oops. No other needs.

The location is superb! Really close to Union Square (less than a minute's walk) but much quieter. The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I think I've ever slept in! Room 501 is our recommendation- worth the extra over a standard room. It was so quiet and spacious, for a San Francisco hotel. I've read reviews where people complained about the breakfast, but seriously it was fine. Choice of pastries, fruit, coffee, tea and juice- enough to start you off for the day. If people dont like it they have the choice to go out and buy it, but we thought it was perfectly sufficient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, every one. We would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone.

Inn at Union Square is a Fantastic place to stay at. We were deciding between here and nearby hilton or marriott but good thing I chose here as there,s an endless continuous strike going on those nearby mariott and hilton properties and probably the stay there is gnna be very noisy ans unpleasant) Our room was very spacious clean with ref. comfortable pillowa and bed. Tidy bathroom Closet Safelock and with simple but ample brealfast. Right next to Union square. Very close to Macys Walgreen and SF shopping center. Close To BART cable cars and all.the local transportation. Definitely going to stay here again.Shoutout to Vivian who was very kind in checking us in and out plus showing us where to go in SF. your kindness was very appreciated. Thank you!

Reasonable prices kind of a shocker! I like small boutique hotels and this its a gem.

Exceptional hotel in every way. A warm and very personal welcome from Shabby. We were upgraded to the Spreckles Suite which was wonderful. Very comfortable with a bed you could sleep forever on! Huge shower and closet. Lovely living area with sofa and chairs. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast whilst not huge was more than satisfactory (and unexpected). The location is superb; just round the corner from cable car stop and a short walk from most bus routes. We were able to leave our bags after check out that was appreciated until we were due to leave San Francisco. Highly recommend anyone to stay at this gem of a hotel.

Wonderful experience. First since Covid. Tamer, our concierge was so helpful. A font of information. Kind and respectful, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is located right on Union Square where we found great shopping and restaurants.

Even had a rough parking experience at the local parking garage and Shabby definitely went above and beyond to accommodate us at the Inn at Union Square. The place is amazing and Shabby is a fantastic host. She deserves a great bonus for her work. She also made our honey moon much better experience!

Just wanted to take a moment to say that Shabby has been an excellent person to work with. My partner and I had a honeymoon here and it started bad because our flight got delayed by 2 hours! And on top of the long drive here we had a rough experience with the local parking garage and shabby has been wonderful with making our stay great! She is the gold standard for how hotel employees should treat their customers! Will 100% be back again when we are in the city! GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE !!
