A quiet street. 2 mins. walk to Pzza. di Popolo. 10 mns. to Spagna. If you stay on the 4th floor prepare for some noise from rooftop bar action.

I stayed in 3 hotels during my time in Rome. My husband had a medical emergency so we were not able to fly back when initially planned. I wanted to extend my stay here but unfortunately they were all booked out so had to go somewhere else. The staff went above and beyond our entire stay. If I ever come back to Rome this is where I will stay. It was by far the best of the 3 hotels we stayed.

I cannot say enough good things about the First Roma Arte. We spent 4 nights there in mid September. Our flight was deeply delayed, and we arrived after traveling nearly 24 hours, losing our whole first day. The reception and concierge were welcoming and so helpful. They recommended a restaurant...

I cannot say enough good things about the First Roma Arte. We spent 4 nights there in mid September. Our flight was deeply delayed, and we arrived after traveling nearly 24 hours, losing our whole first day. The reception and concierge were welcoming and so helpful. They recommended a restaurant that was exactly what we wanted (and needed) only a few blocks away, even though it was late on a Sunday, when so many things are closed. We stayed in room 303, which is in a back corner. It had a small lovely terrace accessible from both the bedroom and sitting room that overlooked...well...a "courtyard" would be generous, but the roof of a lower level. A caution that if you visit in the near future, there is daily and very active construction going on in the building across the courtyard as they remodel it. As former New Yorkers this didn't bother us at all, but if you're a light sleeper, you may want to request to stay on the other side. Marble bathroom was lovely. Very nice products. Very comfy bed. Big bottles of water delivered bedside each night (much needed!) and even a pillow menu! Loved the room. Only thing it lacked was a view...but that's ok because the rooftop was stellar! Open for breakfast each morning (comped through Amex), nearly all of Rome stands before you. The breakfast was huge (endless pastries, yogurt, fresh ricotta with the option of eggs and pancakes) and delicious, and the staff lovely. The roof is also open for aperitivo, which we took advantage of several nights, and sunset is beautiful. They brought us a delicious spread of olives, cheese, crisps (unbelievably complimentary!) to pair with our drinks, and it was always a welcome respite after a long day of walking. The staff throughout the hotel was friendly, outgoing, and spoke excellent English (and politely applauded our poor attempts at Italian), even the housekeepers. The concierge made several recommendations (and reservations) for us for lunch, and each one was convenient to where we'd be and delicious. We did not have a chance to try the Michelin starred restaurant. Hotel location for people that want to hit all the traditional tourist sites is excellent (25-30 minute leisurely walk to both the Vatican and the Colosseum), but tucked away on a side street so there's no tourist glut. In short, we had a marvelous stay, and really couldn't have asked for more.

We used to have our favorite hotel in Roma in this beautiful neighborhood but we will from now on always come back here

A very lovely hotel. Modern furnishings. Excellent beds. A splendid roof-top bar and cafeteria. Excellent service - friendly and always available to cater to any need or request. Located on a quiet street - a big plus. Also - a 2 Michelin star restaurant (which we did not try).

Excellent service from every department in the hotel including housekeeping, restaurant/bar, bell staff. Everyone treated us like VIPs. Rooftop restaurant saw us 4 times. Amazing food and service. We didn’t get a chance to visit the Michelin rated restaurant but will plan ahead next time. The room was large. We had a jacuzzi tub with mood lighting that was tranquil and relaxing. The location is perfect for shopping, cafes, and not so long walk to Spanish Steps or Trevi. We could easily walk to River too.

Used AmEx points to book. Great location--tucked on a side street while being close to bustling tourist attractions. Staff was attentive, pleasant, and always read to help. Room was spacious and comfortable. Not a single thing to complain about!

She & her team organise tours, dinner bookings, booked taxis, made our stay wonderful. Her suggestions were spot on. A big thanks to her. She is a valued person of the hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel recently refurbished. Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Roof top breakfast is excellent and service professional and gracious. We stayed in a junior suite. No views but roof top views are all you need. Rooms are clean and modern and super comfortable.

This was our first time in Rome and our experience was absolutely amazing! The hotel is beautiful and it smells really good too. The staff is so helpful and kind and very easy to communicate with. We had a gorgeous, clean room with a hot tub on the deck. The bathroom was large and the shower had nice, strong water pressure. The food and drinks at the rooftop bar were delicious and unique. The bar staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the cocktails and worked hard to make us feel at home. We will for sure stay at The First when we are in Rome again in the future. Thank you for going above and beyond in every way.

The First Roma Arte is a gem. It’s a boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and roof top bar for a refreshing aperitif after a long day of sightseeing. The cocktails were creative and were accompanied by a delicious spread of small plates ( No erxtra charge) which could almost substitute for dinner. As a bonus, the rooftop is where you have a scrumptious breakfast with splendid views. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend a stay here, you can’t go wrong. Wait, there’s more: a Michelin star hotel on premises for a dining adventure.

Great boutique hotel located near everything in Rome. It has just been remodeled and everything is perfection. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was big and had everything I needed and more. Breakfast up at the rooftop was amazing. This hotel is located just two blocks from via del Corso and a 5 min walk to the Spanish steps. You are close to everything but not in a noisy area. I would Stay there again! Thank you for a memorable stay.

Super comfortable bed and pillows. Well appointed rooms with luxury details . We were upgraded on arrival - nice touch. Kind and professional staff. Great breakfast. Close walk to everything without being on the Main Street. Would recommend.
