Great location but would not stay here again

Travel Date: March 31, 2025

We chose this hotel for its location, which was great. The patio and outdoor fireplace was nice (although only 2 seats are really available at the fireplace so if you're not the first one down there, you're out of luck). They had tea/ coffee station in the AM. However, we...

Good accommodation in a great location

Travel Date: March 31, 2025

The location couldn't be better, right of the middle of things. Quaint inn with a nice courtyard in the middle. There is coffee set up there in the morning, and wine and cheese at 5--both included in the rates. The rooms are on the small side, but certainly adequate. Husk...

I will definitely recommend the Elliott House Inn.

Travel Date: February 28, 2025

The accommodations were perfect for us. Clean and enough room for our stuff. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere felt like a warm community by the fire. We loved the happy hour/ reception with the cheese and the wine. The wine was surprisingly good quality and many choices.

Terrible service and hotel

Travel Date: November 30, 2024

Do not go to this hotel. The door is locked at 10:45 pm and there is only a number to call. The person who answered is not helpful and turned my partner away. They claim that the door locks at 11 but that’s not the case. This is just a...

Great location

Travel Date: October 31, 2024

Great location, next to King St and lots of restaurants etc. everything is walkable. Love their patio coffee and nightly happy hour (wine and snacks). Friendly service, clean room. No maid service but that’s fine. A little loud on Saturday night but didn’t bother me. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing but not bad

Travel Date: October 31, 2024

The location is perfect. You can walk to many great shops, restaurants and bars. There is a parking garage across the street ($20/day), a major perk. Courtyard is nice to get away from the street to a quiet spot. Coffee in the morning is convenient and not terrible. We stayed...

No services available at this place

Travel Date: September 30, 2024

The only good thing about this Inn is the location and our room was spacious. When we first arrived, all was good. Got to our room and the bathroom smelled like mold. We tried working the room safe and it was not working. My husband went downstairs to let them...

A Few Tips About Elliott House Inn

Travel Date: June 30, 2024

On the whole, hotels in historic downtown Charleston are awfully expensive. We found the Elliott Inn to be anywhere from $50 to $200 cheaper. Prime location in the historic districts sits the Elliott Inn. You are one block away from Kings Street; one block away from the famous St. Phillips...

Nice and central

Travel Date: March 31, 2024

It is a nice accomodation in a typical southern style, located centrally, which we enjoyed. Good restaurants in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, in contrast to the reviews from 2018, breakfast is no longer offered, only coffee and tea, which was disappointing for us. However, in the late afternoon, you can have...

Third time is a charm...

Travel Date: February 29, 2024

My wife and I get to Charleston often and this is the third time we've stayed at the Elliott House. What we enjoy about it is the fantastic location right in the middle of the historic district. It is also directly between two of our favorite restaurants, 82 Queen and...

Incredible location and LOVED the courtyard

Travel Date: January 31, 2024

While this is not the fanciest hotel in Charleston, it is a hidden gem. You cannot ask for a better location...on the same block as 3 wonderful restaurants, 1 block from King St (the quiet end, thankfully), blocks from waterfront or the market. But we loved the courtyard the best....

Charming, historic value.

Travel Date: February 29, 2024

This small hotel is perfectly located on a quiet street, convenient to restaurants. shopping, and galleries. The charming courtyard has coffee service in the morning and wine and cheese in late afternoon. Our room was small but very clean and functional. The in-room heater was a little noisy as they...

Great locations but bring a good set of ear plugs to ensure you can get some sleep

Travel Date: December 31, 2023

Good: Great central location. Walking distance to downtown Charleston. Good eateries around. Parking lot right opposite. Happy hour between 5-6pm. Staff was efficient. Bad: very very very noisy. Anything from morning delivery (at 5am), next door neighbor snoring (all night) to upstairs walking and cleaning staff outside will be heard....
