No parking lot, but plenty of free street parking and easy to find, even on a Saturday night. The fireplace and free breakfast delivered to the door every morning was our favorite part. Steps away from all the restaurants and shops. A must stay!

Wonderful experience here in Sonoma. Inn very private and lovely. Grounds very nice.
Our room was perfect for us. Continental breakfast was delicious. Would recommend this inn highly. Walking distance to center of town with restaurants and walking/biking trails.
Romantic and Clean. Walkable to it all!

Perfect location. Wonderful bed and sheets.
Clean and relaxing. Would absolutely stay here again. The Spa was phenomenal - Stephanie was superb! Breakfast pastries were a nice touch. As is the fire in the courtyard. Nice staff too. We walked up the hill (two trails at 0.3 and 0.7 miles away) - great views. And loved the easy walk to the square. 100% recommend this place!
(Only suggestion would be to add a small tv - we were in acacia and we’d say put it on a swing arm above the fireplace - would have been perfect viewing from tub, couch or bed. I know the place is supposed to be set up for less media, but missing the weather reports for flights etc or sports events made us open our phone instead… would have rather had just the tv on if that makes sense)
About Sonoma:
We spent a day driving the country to vineyards (healdsburg area) but we were surprised to find that our favorite day was staying right in town at the plaza. Tip: even in off season you need reservations for vineyards. We didn’t make them and were turned away from most… even though they were not busy.
The plaza is a “park” or “square”, and is surrounded with wonderful shops, restaurants, bars, and tasting rooms. We tasted wondeful cabs at Kamen and good Pinot Noir’s at Fulcrom. Both experiences were great and highly recommend both tasting venues. There are probably 10 more right in the square, all showcasing local wine’s. Each tasting was 25$-35$ for 3-5 different wines. Easier than driving all over!
The stay at Cottage Inn and Spa set us up well for all of it. Thanks Cottage Inn!

Sonoma’s central plaza area is a major draw and the Cottage Inn is beautifully situated a comfortable walk from the central square. I think there about 9-10 rooms at the Cottage Inn arranged in a private complex - I imagine each room is different. Ours was very nice - situated off a little central square with a fountain outside. A nice touch was fresh pastries and croissants delivered every morning. As expected the Cottage Inn was tranquil, relaxing, and quiet. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Walking to many attractions around Sonoma, we would stay again at Cottage Inn on our next Sonoma visit

Surprisingly unique and quaint little hotel. We loved it. We stayed in the Arroyo Suite and the room is spacious and well designed. It was nice having the little kitchenette and they bring you pastries from the local coffee shop each morning. Our room had a cute little private patio that we enjoyed relaxing on while having our morning coffee and pastries. It’s well located a block from Sonoma square so we could easily walk to restaurants and tasting rooms. We would definitely stay again and hope to try out the spa in the future, as we heard good things from a few different people during our stay.

After the crush is our favorite time to be in Sonoma, and this time of year didn’t disappoint. The room—we stayed in the Casita—had a few needs, though.
First, the good: very comfortable bed, good shower pressure, tasty coffee in the room, full kitchen and laundry facilities, and off-the-street parking (not that it would’ve been a problem to park on the street.) The location, just a three-minute walk off the square, is excellent and quiet.
Now the less good. The outdoor lighting in front of our room did not work and the walkway to the Casita is uneven. That was disappointing, and remained unfixed, even after I reported it, The bathroom nightlight also did not work. The floors are Mexican tile and very cold, and there are no rugs, save for the one in the living room (which was ripped, as was upholstery on the living room ottoman.) It would be nice to have a small rug on each side of the bed, at least, to keep one’s feet warm!
It rained while we were there (they have umbrellas for guests to use, which is nice) and the doormat outside the front door is not the kind that allows you to dry your feet. Purely decorative, so we tracked a lot of water inside and used a towel to dry our feet and the floors. They were very pleasant about giving us additional towels.
There does not seem to be someone always at the “desk” and when they are gone, there is a note telling you to call their number snd press 1 which, if you do, gives you a message saying, in effect, your choice is no good! So you call back and press zero (have someone get right back to you) and they send you an email 12 hours later. Not ideal.
The massive TV has Roku so you can sign in to your own streaming accounts which, I guess, is good? We wanted to watch some of the World Series one night and it took about ten minutes to get network TV on the thing. Kinda dopey.
Lastly, the morning pastries are nice, if you love sugar. Of the six pastries we received, only one was not cloyingly sweet. If you like that, well, now you know.
Despite the huge room and wonderful location, we might try somewhere else next time.

We do a lot of research before booking our places to stay while on the road. This place just looked so wonderful from all the pictures and reviews and it did not disappoint. What a wonderful oasis just steps away from the bustle of the town square. We had some relaxing moments in our courtyard sipping wine by the fountain before heading out on our excursions. The AC units work well (for anyone wondering). The unit is very spacious! Working fireplace and a full working kitchen complete with wine fridge, you won't want to leave! They bring fresh pastries to your door in a sweet little basket, every morning too.
Just a few little things we noticed: there isn't a TV in this unit or a full length mirror. Bathroom is teeny tiny so toiletries had to be placed elsewhere. Nothing truly terrible here.
