We absolutely loved Taveuni Palms and can't recommend this resort enough! The staff here were all phenomenal and every member of the team worked to make our honeymoon as delightful as possible. Everyone was so kind and attentive, and we are so grateful for all of the time, thoughfulness, and attention that Colleen, Barry, and all of the service staff and guides put into making sure we were comfortable and having an amazing time. We stayed at the beachfront villa and everything about it was absolutely stunning-the views from the private beach and several balconies and decks, the meticulous landscaping, the private pool, and the spacious rooms. The staff was also so talented at creating gorgeous floral arrangements for the villa and beautiful tablescapes full of flowers for each meal! As a couple who enjoys a mix of activities as well as relaxation, we loved the excursions and activities available at Taveuni Palms and how easy it was to plan each one. All the hikes, boat, and snorkel excursions we did were incredible, and we also enjoyed being able to swim and snorkel right off the beach at the villa! Everything we ate at Taveuni Palms was absolutely delicious, including fresh fruit at breakfast, the most flavorful dinners, thoughtfully packed lunches on our excurstions, and incredible desserts. My husband and I have different dietary preferences, and the chefs were so kind to incorporate both our tastes for our meals! We had the best time at Tavevuni Palms- we miss it already and can't wait to come back! Thank you to everyone at Taveuni Palms for a wonderful stay!

A friend of mine said that if you want a once in a lifetime dream vacation, go to Taveuni Palms Resort. in Fiji. My wife and I just got back from 10 days in the Beach Villa at the Resort. Needless to say, my expectations were very high. This Resort exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website are beautiful, but they don't capture the beauty of the property. Colleen and Barry, the owners, bent over backwards to make sure our every need was fulfilled. The staff, all hand picked, are exceptionally loving and caring. From the first greeting, to the final hugs good by, my wife and I felt "held" in their warmth and nurturing. This resort is very unique and one of a kind. Each meal was prepared and presented by what you would expect from an. upscale restaurant. Colleen arranged all of our excursions, which included lunch, towels water and an expert guide. My wife and I had never been scuba diving, Colleen connected us up with Taveuni Ocean Sports, and we got certified in 3 days with a remarkable dive instructor. Julie at the Dive shop is another gem to experience. So, if you are planning on going to the South Pacific, I would highly recommend Taveuni Palms Resort in Fiji.

From the moment we landed on Fiji’s garden island, Taveuni Palms Resort catered to our every need in the most luxurious way possible!! Their welcome brought us to tears of happiness and we knew were at the start of a fabulous two weeks of total relaxation in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The owners Colleen & Barry are the most gracious hosts and their outstanding staff made anything and everything we wanted happen. We were TOTALLY SPOILED during our stay. The food was of gourmet quality and your choices, whatever your preferences (vegan, gluten free, etc), were endless. We never had a repeat dinner! And everything was made fresh daily. We rented the beach villa which was beyond comfortable, spacious and provided us with our own private beach front access and pool. The resort’s property is a palms oasis boasting the loveliest landscaping that only Fiji provides. We loved how the staff incorporated the plants and flowers inside the villa and table settings. The villa provided the best views of the Somasoma strait, along with the incredible sunsets and stars at night. We actually saw a clear view of the Milky Way! The resort organized private local tours of the island such as the bird sanctuary, visit to a pearl farm, waterfalls … one of which we were able to swim in. Again, we were totally spoiled and taken care of. Also, the Fijian people of Taveuni are the warmest and kindest people that we have met. So welcoming, genuine and kind. My husband and I just left our 10 day stay at Taveuni Palms and I’ve never been so sad to leave a vacation in my life! We have traveled to many beautiful places and have stayed at many 5 star resorts but Taveuni Palms is above everywhere else! Colleen and Barry the owners have gathered a team that cater to your every wish from start to finish! They have at least 5 staff members for every one guest so the service is second to none. Originally this trip was set for March 2020 but due to Covid it was postponed 3 times. Colleen you as so gracious and accommodating with all of the many changes that needed to be made. It really took the stress off of me and it was so worth the wait! First off - the villas. There are only 2 in this entire resort. We stayed in the Horizon Spa Villa and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was a 3 bedroom villa, with multiple decks and levels to enjoy just for the 2 of us. The main level that held our suite had an incredible view of the ocean, but so did the hot tub level above us, the deck below our villa where you can have a meal, the other deck below the main level where you can lay out and soak up the sun, or the lowest level which is beach front, has a beautiful covered bed to lay on and relax with your own private set of stairs where you can walk from your own private beach into the ocean. All of these spaces are completely private where we never saw another human other than the many staff members who wait on you and pamper you constantly! Secondly - the food and drinks. All of your meals are included and are all prepared by skilled chefs. I unfortunately can’t eat seafood and my husband loves it. That was no problem for the team at Taveuni Palms. Every night they made us completely different meals to both of our liking. Each day for each meal we could choose whatever we wanted any time we wanted and there was no such thing as sticking to the menu or being on a time schedule. We were able to choose any of the many locations in our villa to eat and they decorate the table like a work of art at every meal. The fridge in our huge kitchen was fully stocked with every kind of beer, wine, and champagne we liked and every night our personal printed dinner menu came with a chef’s recommendation for wine. We went with it almost daily and it was the perfect pairing every time. Every day after our excursions we also ordered some Bula drinks, which are the mixed drinks of all sorts that come cold, strong and even the drinks came with a beautiful presentation! Third - the excursions. There were no crowded tour buses, and no set times that had to be followed. They have many different adventures to choose from and we did a new one every day. But the best part was - we did them all alone! A private driver would take us to a hike, take us to waterfalls, take us to the International Date Line, etc. and we would have the entire place to ourselves. There is nothing quite like hiking through the rainforest as a couple, and then jumping off of waterfalls, swimming in the crystal clear pool at the base of the falls, and then having lunch served to you while you enjoy the entire waterfall alone. I highly recommend doing both the Tovoro Falls in Boama and the Lavena Coastal Walk and Waterfall because even though they are both waterfalls, they are completely different experiences and amazing in their own way. Another favorite excursion of ours was the private day at Viani Bay. They knew we liked fishing so even though it wasn’t normally part of this excursion, the owner Barry and Foray started the day with taking us fishing where we caught a bunch of fish and bloodied the boat! Then they took us snorkeling at Rainbow Reef but because the tide was high and my husband was having some neck issues it was a little difficult for us to snorkel. The minute he mentioned his neck was slightly hurting, no problem they just whisked us off to our own private beach at Waitatavi where we could shallow water snorkel in our own private cove. After snorkeling, a gorgeous lunch was set up for us on a table made from a tree on a private beach in a cove that looked like a movie set! As always, the owner and staff disappeared somewhere and we were alone in the most romantic setting with the food and drinks however we wanted them. Last but definitely not least - the diving. This was the only thing done outside of the resort but it was all scheduled and set up by Colleen the resort owner. She paired us up with a local dive shop that had great equipment, and more importantly fantastic dive guides and captains that took care of us and made sure we saw amazing things underwater. We are advanced divers and have dove many places around the world but nothing compared to Taveuni! Rainbow Reef has more life than we’ve ever seen underwater and The Great White Wall was spectacular! Every day we saw different species of sea life that we have never seen anywhere else. We got up close and personal with sharks and sea turtles, but also saw tons of tiny life like nudibranchs and leaf scorpion fish. But the most special thing about the entire stay was the people. They say Fijean’s are the nicest people on earth and the team at Taveuni Palms proved that to be true. Sia, Lo, Manoa, Duncan, Foray and Frank and others started out our trip by greeting us with warm smiles and a song, and they treated us like family from the start. They made sure everything was perfect every day from the food, drinks, laundry, table scapes, and literally every little thing we may have needed like band aids or hair ties, whatever you need they just make it happen and bring it to you. Sia, Lo and Manoa took care of our every need while in our villa. Lo also gave us great massages. Duncan held my hand as we navigated slippery rocks on our hikes and he showed me where to step and how to safely jump off the waterfalls. We also had a fantastic traditional Fijean Kava ceremony with Foray and Frank and it was a pleasure to share in their culture with them. There were so many others behind the scenes that we never got to see but everyone worked so hard to make our trip incredible! As we were leaving we walked out to the entire staff singing to us and we had to hold back the tears. I can’t thank everyone at Taveuni Palms enough for giving us the trip of a lifetime and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

My partner and I stayed here for 10 nights back in December 2021 and I’ve been meaning to post this review as we have not forgotten TP or the amazing time we had there. We went within days of the border being open and they were well prepared and expected us with open arms and a great and heartfelt welcome song. Our first time here did not disappoint and you may think 10 days is too long but after 2 years living in Melbourne Victoria in lockdown, it was the best holiday! We did as little as possible and the horizon spa villa is the best! The food I cannot praise enough, it was so fantastic, every meal was spot on and so delicious, it surprised me that it could be so great on an island in the middle of nowhere. The chefs are to be complimented on their choices, quality and presentation. Each evening was in the chef recommendation and nothing disappointed, seafood abundance too. Colleen and Barry will do anything for you, my partner wanted some new zealand wine so they flew some in for her and I was nervous of what that might cost but it was cheaper than Australia!! They did this for us at no cost and to ensure we didn’t want for anything. As we were the first guests since they reopened, Colleen and her team took their covid safe rules seriously and it was safe, friendly, welcoming, private, relaxing and so amazing. We only left the villa once as we loved hanging around the pool and relaxing, but there are enough day trips to keep you occupied and the spa villa was a great set up! What can I say about the staff….. attentive, professional, respectful of privacy, so friendly and so lovely, Sia, Veronica, Manoa, you made our trip so awesome. You went above and beyond, you are so loyal and nothing was too much trouble, even wearing your masks in the heat and walking up and back the pathways just to make a beautiful flower arrangement at every meal sitting, it was so appreciated by Brenda and I. We lacked for nothing during our time with you. And all the staff we did not meet but keep the gardens looking beautiful, the grounds are spectacular, the Driver, the snorkel guide, the housekeeping, you all are to be commended on your hard working ethic and loyalty to TP. Colleen and Barry you are onto a winner with TP, we will absolutely be back and we have not forgotten this awesome place! Thank you so much 🙏😊

I have had the good fortune of staying at many beautiful places around the world. Do not even think twice about booking your stay at this magical place. If visiting Taveuni, you must stay here. The small resort is like staying at your own private beach home with all of the amenities you could ask for and more, complete with a friendly, super attentive staff that you will adore. Kathleen and her husband are lovable souls who manage the place and they are truly wonderful hosts who will make sure your every need is met. The food is superb and brought to your villa at the time of your choosing. The carefully selected wine is kept chilled in the fridge and replenished promptly. They keep the fridge stocked with most everything one could wish for. They are extremely attentive to detail, bringing yoga mats, snorkeling equipment, kayaks and paddle boards to you at your instant request. There are various excursions to the local villages, gorgeous waterfalls, a private beach, and many snorkeling opportunities. They can also arrange spectacular scuba dives with a professional and highly experienced local outfitter. My husband and I stayed here for a few days before meeting our adult children in Tonga. After we didn’t see many whales in Tonga, we promptly arranged to fly back to this resort and we all stayed for a few more days. We were welcomed again like family. I love this place. Literally cried when I left the first time and the second time!
