The rooms was decorated nicely. The older elements in the room should be renovated to be more modern resort quality. The sinks, vanity counters, shower mixing valves are all old. The mini bar area was old and the small dorm refrigerator should be built into the casework for a more appealing look. Otherwise the room was great. The exterior should be renovated also to not be so old unappealing architecture.

Such a beautiful property and especially at Christmas! We love that it is pet friendly. The restaurant and bar are beautiful as well and the food is delicious. The rooms (particularly the bathrooms) could use some updating but overall very comfortable. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful, relaxing overnight stay.
Hubby & I experienced a relaxing overnight getaway. Beautiful scenery, comfortable room & tasty food. Upstairs neighbor was smoking marijuana in back deck so that ruined our patio time, but otherwise it was a great experience. Would love to return with our teens!
We absolutely loved our stay! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room was stunning. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the golf course, and the food at the restaurant was outstanding. We will definitely stay here again soon, definitely a must!
Golf Get Away before Christmas Mayhem

Nice golf getaway in the beautiful Hill Country. Room was comfortable great temperature control. We hadn’t seen it to use both A/C and heat during our 3 night stay. Golf Pro staff extremely helpful, my battery died. And the young man with glasses helped give us a jump. The starter came by to help also and he was on his way home. The only thing I would have likes would have been a discount on the Green Fees for resort guests. We’ll definitely be back.

The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. My wife and I ended up needing to changes rooms and the staff were very accommodating. That meant a lot to me. The only reason I’m leaving a 4-star review is because the rooms are quite dated. Very clear, well appointed, just in major need of a stylistic upgrade. But, again, I want to be clear that the staff were amazingly hospitable, kind, and accommodating.

Food was generous and well pepared.
Very nice large room. Wasn't quite sure if room service was expected or required notice. Wasn't a big factor. Coffe pods should have been checked and replaced as needed as well as towl replacement. Bedding was not required, just the items that would be used in an evening.
Great resort, very quaint town with plenty to do.
Huge rooms. Clean. Comfy beds. Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. Nice restaurant:bar
Beautiful golf course..
Bathrooms could use a little updating but other than, pretty much perfect.
Will return soon.

At times we were the only ones at the pool. The food was good. The rooms are looking tired. I think its time to replace the carpet with laminent. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with a bottle of champagne. I would have given a 5 star but we had an issue with our first room and ants.
I would stay again if they update the rooms to match the rest of the property.

It is a great secluded resort. The employees were top notch on providing the best experience. The food was AWESOME!! Enjoyed the pool, and the fore pits. Beds in the room were comfortable. Thank you for the bottles of water in the rooms!! Will visit again.
The pillows are awesome. I am totally interested in the type & brand. The only negatives is that the fire pits were not operating & neither were the bubbles in the hot tub. Food service staff rocked! I don't know if we were supposed to inform the front desk that...

Food service staff rocked!
I don't know if we were supposed to inform the front desk that we needed our room restocked with coffee & toiletries.

With that said, the greens were absolutely terrible! This should have been mentioned when we booked the tee time.
Also, the rooms are very old and outdated. They need a facelift.
The pool area was nice and we enjoyed the hot tub.
The restaurant was very welcoming and beautiful, unfortunately, the food wasn’t great; especially for the prices being charged.
All in all, some major improvements need to be done before we will make a reservation to return.

We were a group of 4 couples that got together before one of our friends left for the summer to their Montana house. One couple came in from Nebraska to see us. The resort is tucked off back in the country which was really nice. The Club House/Main building was nice but that is because it was rebuilt due to the fire in the past. The Restaurant food was really good, the service was very hit or miss. We did have some great servers and not so great servers. We were worried at first because things we were asking for like drinks that were on the menu were not available and told not sure how got the old list yet that is what the waiter gave us....the next morning no buffet breakfast just order from the menu, they did have the buffet on our last morning. We had to ask at every meal for silverware. The guys played golf 2 days and after the first day they were so disappointed that they were trying to get tee times somewhere else but everything was booked already (they played late that day). The greens were absolutely horrible. They ended up playing the 2nd day since they couldn't get a tee time elsewhere - the rates should definitely be cheaper for how bad the course is. The rooms are very dated, the actual bedroom part wasn't that bad but the bathroom was horrible - peeling wallpaper on the walls, missing wallpaper behind the toilets, etc. The view out of our room was a greenspace looking at the back of the property - full of thistle weeds and needed mowing. The adult pool was very dirty, dead lizard in the hot tub and dirty also. No service at the pool - if you want a drink you have to walk over to the pool bar by the kids pool, with very limited choices. Also, pool had broken lounge chairs. At the pool bar it was only can beer and can wine...no mixed drinks, etc. I think this resort has some possibility to be nice again but someone needs to come in and update the property really bad. The bathroom also does not have a regular blow dryer - it's the small ones on the wall that don't do anything if you have hair. The one time I didn't bring my hair dryer. I would say its more of a 2 star or less property. The only reason I ranked this 3 stars because it was great to be able to see our friends. Also, our rooms hot water was non-existent. I had it all the way over and still warm at best. I told them and they sent someone over but they must not have done anything because it didn't change anything. The a/c in our room was lacking also. We had it all the way down to 67 and there was no way that was the temp in the room, at night I was sweating - I don't keep our a/c that cold at home so I know that unit just didn't work correctly or they are controlling it. It rarely turned on at night...when I would get up it would turn on so must have some type of motion control to it.
So if you go set your expectations very low and you should be fine. Again, I think if they put some money into it I think it could be nice. I think the biggest disappointment was the golf course.

My husband and I have been going to Tapatio Springs for many years. We even went there for our honeymoon in 1996 because we loved it so much. We always stay at Tapatio in a room or suite or condos...and have also rented a house. The room we stayed in this time (connected to the old guest check-in) was very out-of-date. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the a/c unit did not work very well. We like to be able to watch TV at night and our remote would not work the TV. My husband decided to go out and get in the hot tub and the fumes were so bad that it made his eyes and skin burn. He got out quickly and showered off. We like to go see the wildflowers the second weekend in April, and my husband will play golf (I ride with him in the cart). The greens were in terrible shape. We should have known something was going on when they only charged my husband half price to play. They didn't mention anything about the greens being in such bad shape beforehand. The first day we were there, we went to the clubhouse for a late lunch. It took a while to even get a glass water, and then we did not see our server for a long time. When we would see her, she would not look our way. We finally had to wave her down to ask for a refill on our drinks. It took even longer to get our food, but once we got it, it was really good. We tried breakfast the next morning and when we got there...there were probably 4 to 5 tables occupied (way more empty tables). The lady up front told us there would be a 20-minute wait, so we decided that would be ok. We really didn't have a choice...it was either wait...or drive into Boerne. So, we waited and started looking around at the paintings on the wall, looking in the gift shop. After 35 minutes, I went back to the hostess counter and asked her if we could please go ahead and sit down...so she seated us. Our server (different than the day before) just kept doing other things besides waiting on us, so I finally asked her if we could get some menus and drinks. She came back after 25 minutes and took our order. After waiting another 30 minutes...she brought us a bowl of fruit and apologized to us for "just now" putting our order in. After another 30 minutes, we finally received our food. We each ordered an omelet, and it came with biscuits and another side. She brought each of us one small butter and one small jelly. Before she left our table after serving our food...I asked if we could please get some more butter and jelly. She said yes...then she walked outside. Our food was good, but I just could not sit there any longer, so I went over to the young man cleaning off a table and asked him if he would please get us some butter and jelly. The manager (who originally told us there would be a 20-minute wait with a ton of empty tables) realized that I was upset and came over and asked if there was anything she could do. I told her we just really wanted some butter and jelly and that we had been there so long, we were just ready to finish our meal and leave. She apologized repeatedly. We had invited another couple to go with us that weekend and I am so glad they were not able to go. I would have been completely embarrassed because we had built the place up so much.
