We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was my birthday and the hotel arranged for cake and sparkling wine to be delivered to our room, which was really thoughtful and very much appreciated. The staff are all absolutely lovely and always greeted us with a smile. The hotel is spotless and in a great location. There is a metro station right outside the front door and most places are within walking distance.

The hotel location is very good near good shopping area and staff is very friendly but hotel needs an upgrade. It’s close to the metro and some great restaurants nearby. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area and good restaurants to go to.

We loved our weekend stay at Sofitel Lisbon. The staff made us feel like home. We were well taken care of. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and you can choose the pillow that will make your sleep more comfortable. Our room faced the avenue which we loved as the trees were decorated with festive lights. Best location for sightseeing. Comfortable beds and pillows. Large shower/bathroom by European standards. Attentive staff. A homeless man asked two ladies standing in front of the hotel for money and one of the staff came out from the lobby right away to help with the situation.

A few reasons I didn't give this a 5: the bed was way too soft and the room attendant service on our last day overlooked several items in the bathroom - washcloths, soap dispenser refill, kleenex. Additionally, closet is a strange layout and hard to use, and our coffee maker didn't function. Concierge did make some excellent dining recommendations.

This is in a great location, on the Avenida Da Liberdade, the Champs Elysees of Lisbon, which is chock full of overpriced designer stores. This hotel is simply amazing. The front desk staff are among the nicest I have ever encountered. In fact, ask for Pedro Rodrigues with the perfectly manicured beard and the best mustache on the planet. He will take great care of you in terms of hotel services and recommendations. The breakfast was included and was very extensive. If you stay in Lisbon, stay here.

Our experience was a bit off putting from the first day we arrived. I had emailed the hotel a month in advance to say we were arriving early - we travelled 20 hours for our honeymoon vacation and I’m 3 months pregnant, so would it be possible to check in...

Our experience was a bit off putting from the first day we arrived. I had emailed the hotel a month in advance to say we were arriving early - we travelled 20 hours for our honeymoon vacation and I’m 3 months pregnant, so would it be possible to check in early? (We would arrive at 9am but check in wasn’t until 3pm). I said it was so important I’d be happy to pay if needed. The response was that they had made a note and would add us to “urgent priority” for check-in. When we checked in they said the room wasn’t ready but again that we were “urgent priority”. One hour turned into two, turned into 5. I was cranky and tired and uncomfortable. We hadn’t been able to sleep on the flight and desperately needed a nap. At 2:55pm the receptionist called us up and said she was SO HAPPY that she could check us in early. At this point I was just exhausted and pissed off - why tell us you can accommodate an early check in if you know you can’t? If you had said no early check in from the beginning we would have made alternative arrangements but we sat there waiting, every hour they said “only another hour or so!” The hotel itself was comfortable and location was good but this initial experience put us off of the entire stay.

I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. First, the location was perfect. You could walk to so many places, and it was a short walk from Rossio station, if you wanted to take a day trip to Sintra. The room and bathroom were beautifully appointed, and the housekeeping was excellent. However, the best part of the stay at the Sofitel was the staff. Christina, at reception was full of ideas and suggestions about things to do and meals. Pedro, the concierge was amazing. He suggested fabulous restaurants for dinner that we never would have found on our own. We ate so well in Lisbon thanks to him. My husband and I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a very classy hotel in an upscale neighborhood.

Fantastic Experience,,beautiful hotel! Not only was the hotel top-notch but The staff was excellent, Friendly, welcoming, and professional, From Delfim and Mafalda at the front desk, to Paulo and Pedro, and Diego in the bar, Thank you all for the experience one of the best we've ever had.

Our room was very small but nice decor, good AC, small bathroom with a nice walk-in shower, comfortable beds. No bad smell in either our room or the lobby. Registration clerk very pleasant and helpful. She recommended a nearby Italian restaurant for lunch that we really enjoyed. Good for one night but for a longer stay, I'd go elsewhere.

This hotel is in a great location, right on centre of Liberdade avenue, but the hotel itself is pretty average, and not up to the Sofitel norm. Hotel seems a bit dated. The room was very disappointing. It was small, dark, and had a weird layout, and just wasn’t that nice. Bathroom was alright, but not impressive. The bed was pretty comfortable though I’ll admit. The reception staff and bellman were also very nice and helpful. But overall this place was disappointing and it’s not cheap! It’s not good value, you could find much nicer hotels for similar price range such as the Tivoli just up the street. We’ve stayed at Sofitels before and this one is not up to their usual standard. Won’t be back.

Been a client at Sofitel Lisbon already before Covid. It has been since renovated with skinny rooms and a continuous bad smell from the lobby. In addition, I am a Diamond Member with Accor for years. I visited Sofitel hotels worldwide, from Chicago, NY, Paris and Thailand etc... Not the same level in Lisbone anymore. For Diamond Members : Here, NO upgrade for top members, a first since the last 4 years with Sofitel and Accor from China, NY and Paris. Local management will reply there is no superior availability... Not even true but no one even thought about It. Last experience there in Lisbon! Many other 4 and 5* hotels starting by Tivoli Liberdade next block.
