The hotel was a magnificent slice of tranquility. Conveniently located about 15 minutes walk from Oia. The staff were exceptional and made you feel very welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. Facilities were brilliant, cleanliness in the main grounds and rooms faultless. The white rock restaurant on site offered some really lovely food at reasonable prices for Santorini. The views from the suite were pure luxury and the hot tub on the balcony a pleasant addition after a long day of exploring.

It’s hard to write a review for this wonderful hotel and its staff without either sounding like the owner’s mother or that I’ve had a bung! It is quite simply exceptional and without shadow of doubt contributed to the best holiday we’ve ever had. We chose Secret View Hotel to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary specifically because we wanted a chilled break and it is in a quiet and peaceful village outside the busy mayhem of Oia. The warmth of welcome from the Reception Team and Concierge, Athena, was the first indication that we had arrived at a hotel which places every emphasis on outstanding customer service. We were delighted to have received an upgrade to the best suite in the hotel - with a private garden, comfy sun loungers and our very own hot plunge pool! Our daughter had organised a bottle of fizz for the room on our arrival and this clearly alerted the hotel team to our celebration. She said the Concierge team were a delight to deal with over email. And the hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of fizz to on the second night! Head Chef Yiannis’ food is delicious and the hotel’s pool area with views of the sea is simply stunning! The entire hotel is spotlessly clean inside and out. What makes this a true hotel of distinction is that every single member of staff we interacted with over our week’s stay was polite, charming, smiley and utterly delightful. From Nicos the GM, to Athena, to bartenders extraordinaire, Nicole and Debi (great fun) to lovely Aris, Joanna and Mykis in the restaurant, to the friendly and über efficient housekeeping team. It is the first time we’ve stayed at a hotel that genuinely lives up to the images and copy on its website! Thank you Secret View Hotel for your amazing hospitality, fun and kindness! I cannot recommend a stay here highly enough. Yamas!

I’ve traveled extensively and the Secret View might have the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Accommodating and helpful at every turn. The facility is spotless and well appointed. The food in the restaurant was superb. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

This was our first time in Oia and we decided to stay at the Secret View Hotel. The experience was absolutely amazing and the service is some of the best we have ever received at a hotel. The hotel is very close to town which is nice if you enjoy walking and the amenities are all extremely nice and relaxing. Athena and the staff were all super friendly and were always more than happy to provide recommendations for restaurants, beaches, etc. The entire staff made sure we had everything we needed during our entire stay which made our first experience in Santorini memorable!

Fabulous service a very helpful team . Looked after us on our last day due to a late flight we were able to use all the facilities when returning from another Greek island . Nice and peaceful quaint hotel , lovely and clean. Good food Would definitely return

Ideally appointed just outside of town. The walk is less than a mile and very simple. This hotel is immaculate and extremely well run. The vibe is one dedicated to a relaxing stay for all guests. Highly recommended for couples, solos and families.

An absolutely exceptional hotel, We booked this hotel in late August for a couples retreat, we stayed for 7 nights, and had the cheapest room they do, alongside bed and breakfast. My only complaint with the breakfast was that there wasn’t a lot of options for my girlfriend who is gluten-free, but in full credit to them, they provided us with meals on the paid menu that was gluten-free to us at no additional cost to counter this, so I can’t even mark them down for that, in other matters the hotel reception was amazing either their service and will do everything they can to improve your stay. The hotel was very clean, felt like there wasn’t that many rooms, allowing for what felt like an individual and tailored stay, we never waited for anything, service was personalised and fast, and the bar staff was absolutely incredible, I’d even go as far as to say the best I’ve ever seen, massive props to Chris, Nicole and Debbie, who went above and beyond in their service to give us a special stay. 5/5* would recommend to anybody looking to relax with some amazing service, brilliant views, and all round great facilities. Do however be warned, the prices can be a little on the expensive side, but most of the island shares some steep prices, in fairness.

We booked a last minute holiday to Santorini and knew we wanted to stay in Oia, so we ending up booking Secret View for 7 nights bed and breakfast. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, our room was spacious and clean, and the staff are attentive. It’s around a 15 minute walk into Oia which we did occasionally, or we jumped in a taxi for €20. Overall it’s a nice hotel but there are a few things we feel could be better: Firstly, breakfast options are very basic and limited, unless you pay extra. To be honest, we didn’t enjoy breakfast at all and feel that if breakfast is included, you should be able to have what you want. Things such as scrambled eggs, omelette & pancakes are not included. We did however eat lunch & dinner at the hotel restaurant a couple of times and the food was great! The drinks at the hotel are also expensive compared to other places on the island - a bottle of water €7, smoothie €12.50. We didn’t sleep very well as you can hear everything going on in the rooms next door. Unfortunately we were woken up by our neighbours at 4am three nights in a row. We enjoyed our stay regardless but wouldn’t rush back to this hotel.

We enjoyed the location but the staff is what sets this hotel apart from others. Whoever is doing the training should commended. All are willing to accommodate a guests needs. The service is equivalent to those I have had at a 5 star hotel. I would give our room a 3.5-4 stars. It was oddly shaped which caused the bathroom to be quite small. The bathroom door would not open all the way and would hit the toilet. The glass divider for the shower is not wide enough to prevent water from entering the bathroom. I have found this to be pretty standard for my travels throughout Europe though. This is not specific to this hotel. Pools were nice although we didn’t use them. Restaurants are close by plus the hotel has a restaurant that we only used for breakfast. I did use the spa and the masseuse was professional, did a good job and stayed later than she was supposed to. Overall we would stay there again.

Where to start… the hotel is gorgeous, the service is exceptional but the people separate it. There was 4 people in particular that made our trip special - the first being Nicole who every night would make us laugh. Then Makis, Aris & Debbie, they were all so fun and it’s rare you meet people like this travelling but we will truly miss them and they made this entire experience something we will never forget. You expect certain things out of a 5 star hotel but people can make or break your experience and everyone there is just so exceptional. About the hotel - it’s walking distance to Oia and it’s in a nice spot that is quiet. At night we would sit in the hot tub and you can just relax. The pool area is great offering good drinks and food. The Black Rock Resturant is attached to the hotel and we ate there a few nights (that view is in my picture). They have a spa if you want to get a massage/facial after a long flight. They organized picking us up from the airport which was nice after a long day of travelling you don’t have to think about Uber. They made great recommendations for things to do in the area as well beyond what we already had planned. Our ferry from Mykonos was delayed and at the port it’s hard to get a Uber, sent them a text at 8pm, they had someone there picking us up at 10pm. They created a very stress free easy experience with everything. Would not hesitate to come back here. If you are looking for luxury with exceptional service and amazing people, look no further.

From our initial welcome to our departure the service was personal and friendly we were the only ones in the restaurant for dinner watching the sunset which was very special. This hotel is so special. The hotel is stunningly Beautiful but that means nothing unless the staff are also incredible … which they are. The moment we walked into the reception to check in we were greeted with smiles and the experience had a personal touch to it. We arrived later than expected due to a delay and we were offered a complimentary cocktail before being taken to our room which was lovely of them. We got to our room and had a free bottle of wine on ice waiting for us, again a lovely touch. The hotel is very clean, well taken care of and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The manager of the hotel is great and asked a few times if everything was ok and anything else we needed. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from Oia central and not a difficult walk If you want a taxi it’s 10 euros and reception arrange this all for you. We will be back without a doubt it’s honestly been the best holiday ever and we are here for another 3 days yet!

An incredible stay at Secret View Hotel. My husband and I had an amazing time celebrating our honeymoon. The staff are very accommodating and are there to assist you in planning activities around the island. The facilities are modern, clean and well designed to enjoy. The short walk to Oia town allows for a more peaceful and quiet stay where you are able to relax. I would like to thank the hotel manager Athina who ensured that we were taken care of and enjoyed our stay. When we arrived at the hotel we were shown all the facilities and enjoyed a welcome drink at the bar. We were able to check in early which is very helpful after a flight. The staff at the Harmonica Spa, Anthi and Dimitra provided an excellent spa service. The bar staff made amazing cocktails which were enjoyed by the wonderful ocean view. I would like to thank everyone at Secret View Hotel for their kind, accommodating service which made our holiday experience one that we will remember. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a stay where you are well looked after by all staff and wish for a relaxing, peaceful stay. Looking forward to staying again.
