We recently stayed at the Seascape Beach Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time in a beautiful studio spa suite. However, there were several items that need to be fixed that could significantly enhance the guest experience at Seascape:
- Upon check-in, we noticed a lack of information about the property and its amenities. It would have been helpful to receive a comprehensive overview, especially regarding the daily resort fee and what it includes.
We had to inquire multiple times about in-room spa services as they were not adequately promoted. Despite this, we did book a session and found it to be excellent. We suggest highlighting these services more prominently to encourage more bookings.
Several amenities in our room were not functioning properly, including the landline phone and TV access to guest services. No IN ROOM Dining! These are essential for guest convenience and should be promptly addressed.
Outdated technology, such as the CD and audio tape player, was present in our room. Upgrading to modern amenities like Bluetooth connectivity would greatly improve the guest experience.
Additionally, the non-operational alarm clock and the lack of an easily accessible ice machine were minor inconveniences that detracted from our stay.
Lastly, the website is outdated and could benefit from a refresh. Updating it with accurate information.

Always loved going here, although expensive. This time we had issues with the hotel and golf club honoring items that were offered on the website. We asked about it numerous times and were told that the computer systems are different and so they really didn't know how to help us....
Always loved going here, although expensive. This time we had issues with the hotel and golf club honoring items that were offered on the website.
We asked about it numerous times and were told that the computer systems are different and so they really didn't know how to help us. It was money off and items to be given to us.
Service charges daily for NO cleaning in the rooms at all, while staying...we were there a week and a half. We would ask at front desk for towels, tp, etc. and either have nothing delivered or the wrong items.
While eating in the bar area, we would wait for 15-20 min. before even being greeted. I know they were short staffed, but an acknowledgement would've been fine. Also, they do not serve breakfast at the restaurant anymore.
Alot of disappointment, for a very expensive trip.
The topper, was I had received an email asking for us to contact them on our trip...which I did....I heard nothing back.
I resent an email a few weeks later, asking if they had received the email....Nothing again.
It's really not professional at all.
And, this experience will actually broaden our minds on other places to stay! As, we will not go back again. Like I said, we loved going here, and have been for years. Once or twice a year.
We actually ran into a former employee, that used to help us wonderfully...and found out the staff all left due to new management! Wow! So sad!

Disappointing stay,
We were looking for a nice weekend at the beach to start the new year. I booked a suite wit a full ocean view and I was informed by reservation it will be front line luxury suite with a nice view. paid 600$ per night but this what I found upon check in.
• It is a one-bedroom apartment located on the side of the building all the way in the back like a mile away from the beach, you can forget about hearing waves or feeling ocean breeze only few blue dots from between the tress, that is all you can see.
• CHEAP- is the word to descrip the room. every corner you look at is cheaply made and cheaply finished, cheap hardwood floors that squeeze when you walk on, cheap cracked walls all around. filthy small bathroom. Cheap old towels that have been used for the last 20 years perhaps. Cheap paint, cheap hard mattress that won’t get you any sleep all night, NO AC in the room, instead cheap noisy system will continue to make noise and blow dust all night incase the mattress was not bad enough. Cheap tea-Lipton- and coffee when you woke up.
• I decided to talk to front desk to see if there is a better apartment available with a better view and the lady at the desk said if we need to move, they will need to charge us another 600$ extra per night to put us like half a mile a way from the beach instead of a mile. ridicules
• Asked if the housekeeping can come to open the sofa bed and we had to call three time, wait an hour before someone finally showed up.
• The mattress was so bad we hardly got any sleep .we woke up in the morning and decided to order room service in what is called -Luxury resort 600$ room – and the front desk informed us there is no room service available today as the restaurant is very busy and decided to cancel any room service orders and we have to go to the restaurant if we need to have breakfast.PS we were willing to pay for room service although we had a breakfast packages included .
• We all rushed to dress up and go to catch breakfast at 09:40 am, and we received the best new year welcome at the restaurant by the restaurant manager.NO breakfast today ….????, it is only 09:40 am on the new year and I have 06 year old child to feed and she is saying no breakfast will be served any more this morning although it was advanced booked and paid for …why MS. Restaurant manager. First she started to blame it on we did not have a reservation for breakfast and tried to argue that any one with no reservation for breakfast will not be served ..after 5 minutes of forth and back and explaining to her that we are already on breakfast package which means she should have us on the record regardless she admitted that she only has one cook today in the kitchen and she can’t serve every one and that was the reason to cancel all room service as well. We ended up having to drive to downtown Capitola to find a place to eat that morning.
• Now let’s go and enjoy some beach time. After walking for a mile to find the beach hoping we can see some of these nice, advertised beach pictures on their website …only to find a public beach full of homeless people walking around .no chairs to set.no beach boy to help you with anything.
• Upon check out I mentioned to the Professional front desk lady that restaurant was not able to provide breakfast and if she can reimburse the charges and her professional answer was no …we don’t reimburse any charges. I had to talk to the GM who told her to go ahead and reimburse the charges for breakfast. when I showed him pictures of how dirty the hotel room is, his response was -I’m new here-but we will send you a certificate for a free stay.
