Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos

We visited this hotel the second week of September and it was the best decision. This hotel is definitely one of the more expensive Marriott’s but truly everything you could want for a honeymoon resort. We visited as the last leg of our trip and were not disappointed. For starters with this hotel the transportation to/from the ferry port was included as well as daily breakfast. The daily breakfast spread was amazing, my favorite was the crab Benedict. A beautiful selection of both ala carte and buffet options including juices, pastries, eggs, meats. As a Mariott Titanium member, we were kindly greeted with 2 bottles of champagne in the room and 5STAR service throughout the stay. The room was beautiful with all the essentials, and we were upgraded to a rooftop ocean suite with views of both sides of the island. During our time there we also rented the Technohull boat through Anastasia which was an excellent experience… Daily at both the pool and beach we ate at Buddha Bar, food was excellent. Service was excellent. One of the nicest parts of this hotel is the private, well groomed beach and little swim lagoon with comfortable chairs and full service staff daily. Mykonos tends to be overcrowded and this hotel offers that private luxury. The hotel is also within walking distance of a small town with several restaurants and a grocery store. Truly can not wait to go back again one day, highly recommend!

We went here to spend a day at the beach. Absolutely everything perfect. Probably the best location of the island with the best staff as well. Extremely accurate and friendly service, always present without ever being intrusive. All the We’ll come back for sure!

Where do I start. Check in i guess where the welcome was warm and heartfelt. From the get go as you arrive into this beautiful hotel the staff are warm, approachable, polite and sincere in the desire to ensure your stay is the best. I am lucky enough to be an Ambassador Elite Member with Marriott Bonvoy and so was treated to an upgrade to a room with its own small mini pool. However we didnt really use it as the main Pool area is fantastic with beautiful ocean views. Everything about the hotel was perfect for us, the Staff, the quality of the room finish, furnishings, mattress, pillows and bedding all 5 star and luxurious. The Buddha bar was an outstanding memory and experience although somewhat over priced the atmosphere, food and staff are brilliant there also. My only complaint if any is the high price of things but I guess that's just Mykonos.

A top 5 hotel for me, with extensive travel for over 30 years and 25+ countries visited, make this one of your stays you won’t regret it

The team outside the hotel upon arrival - friendly and courteous. The front desk staff and the Asst FO Manager so thoughtful and considerate. 🥰 The restaurants (Elias and BuddaBar) are an excellent respite from a long day on the beach. The Beach is private and a team which anticipates your every wish! The room. The view. Luxurious accommodations all around. My husband and I celebrated our 14th anniversary here and we shall return! Breathtakingly Beautiful! Thank you to everyone on the Santa Marina staff. Excellent 5-star resort! Must stay.

Perfection all around is what you’ll find here! Let’s start with what most impressed me, the service, Wow! Easily the best I have ever experienced! Hard to find words to describe the attention and help you get at this property. There is someone always ready to help you with a smile. At every 10 mts there will be someone from the hotel to assist you with whatever you need. We got an amazing upgrade with a gorgeous balcony with ocean view! Fantastic! The room itself has all you need and it’s extremely comfortable. Breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of options. The hotel has several great restaurants, but they are all on the expensive side. You’ll find great dining options in town and around the several beaches on the island. Their private beach is another incredible place to spend time and relax. Finally, the hotel offers free of charge transfer from and to the airport and port - which is an excellent value!

Having been in many luxury hotels , SM wouldn’t be on my top 20 list. Most everything was ok , staff was nice , food was ok . My balcony was quite large but only had a couple of chairs .. What was most upsetting is that I accidentally left a bathing suit that I purchased in Mykonos, in my room’s bathroom. When I noticed, it was too late to go back . I called the hotel and they told me they couldn’t find anything. I found it really odd as I know there is only one place that it could have been . I wonder if some staff person is wearing my suit now 😙

The grounds are beautiful and immaculately well kept. The service is second to none, the staff go above and beyond. The breakfast is amazing. The beech is out of this world. Can’t fault this hotel. Loved it and highly recommend it.

My Husband and I have visited Santa Marina now every year since 2014, throughout that time we have witnessed lots of change ( always for the better) and every year we wonder how it is possible to improve yet somehow year on year they do. Santa Marina is an extremly special place to us, with the views of the Yachts and the endless blue Aegean, there is a wonderful sense of calm everywhere you go which makes it the perfect place to unwind on holiday. Although if you do want a bit of party Buddha Bar can certianly offer that. This year were kindly upgraded to a beautiful deluxe sea view room which had a great outdoor space and wonderful views. Having stayed in most rooms types now inc the suites I can say they are all fantastic, they all have stunning views and the beds are oh so comfortable. I'd like to say a huge thank you to the bar manager Nick who really looked after me this year after my Husband had to fly home early. Nick always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and we look forward to seeing him every year. He is a great sommelier and fantastic mixologist with a brilliant team behind him. Honestly i've never come accross a bar that is so well ran and efficient. Buddha Bar is an absolute must on your trip to Mykonos if you like Pan-Asian food. Now for the show stopper of Santa Marina - The Beach! Thank you to George and all of the team, walking down in the morning to my favourite sunbed with towels already laid out without having to ask, now that's service! Always happy and not far away the service levels on the beach are exemplary. If you are unsure about booking Santa Marina, it is the definition of class and style. There are so many beautiful hotels on the island of which I have tried a few, but I always come back to what feels like home, Santa Marina. We always travel in September, for us it's the best time. June-Aug can be very busy and I guess Mykonos would probably feel like a different experience, so if you are unsure of when is best to travel and you are flexible - Septemeber is your one. If I had one small critique it would be about the reception staff, I can't put my finger on what it is about them but at check out they seemed a bit 'grumpy', they were not rude but I think there is room for improvement there considering how good everything else is.
