We had a fantastic time at the San Juan Marriott & Stellaris Casino. When we arrived we were greated by Jean/Jan at the front desk who was so kind and welcoming explaining all about the hotel and their services. We stayed in an Oceanfront 'renovated room' in the main tower and it didn't disappoint! Very nicely appointed and comfortable. We felt like we could jump in the ocean from the 16th floor - it was that close to the water! The elevators are really convenient since the layout is a square, so no room is far from the elevators. The highlight of this hotel is really the staff and service. The Cosecha restaurant is on the beach level and has an amazing view of the pool area and beach. The buffet breakfast is one of the best we've had anywhere and mimosas are included! ALL the staff were incredible - every one of them greeted us and made sure we were taken care of. Next is the pool staff! Stephanie, Myrna, Julio, Oda and Rita among many others went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We rented a cabana by the pool which are all new, open on the sides, provide just enough sun through the roof. They made sure we always had waters, ice and drinks! There is a swim up bar where the staff will take care of you nicely. Overall the pool area is so enjoyable - even without the cabana - the chairs are nice and plenty enjoyable on their own. The lobby bar is also nice and has different late night (DJ, Live Singer etc.), so it's quite enjoyable and the food is top notch! Brian at the lobby bar went out of his way to take care of us and also in the casino, but really all the staff at the lobby bar are incredible. The hotel location is close to many restaurants under 10 minutes walk, so very convenient. Thank you to the San Juan Marriott Resort for making our stay one that we'll remember forever!

Stayed overnight after our cruise. Great staff and enjoyed the ocean breeze. Very relaxing. Hung out at the pool and on our balcony. Enjoyed nice treatment as a Bonvoy gold member. The Ocean Club cabana was overpriced and not necessary for our stay. The ocean club staff tried to give us a cabana in the middle of a construction zone but eventually agreed to let us pay for another cabana.

Everyone was super attentive and there ws always a smile on employee's faces. Chairs at the beach always available. Get there early for pool seats but it's nowhere near as bad as reviews make it seem. Ate at every outlet they had and didn't have one bad meal. Angel at the bar went above and beyond every single time even if what we wanted, wasn't on the menu. Bottomless mimosas for breakfast is a huge plus! As a fellow hotelier, I would go back in a heartbeat.

So it's a mess of so many problems. Check in was easy. We got to our 'suite' which started the mess. Turns out they have a very limited number of 'suites', i.e. a separate bedroom from the tv / entry area, so what they advertise as a suite is just a larger than a standard room. Also, very few rooms have a direct ocean view, so they consider any slice of a view of the water as an "ocean view". It's really false advertising. Within the room, there's minimal overhead lighting. One side of the bed has no outlets, so it's annoying for two people to charge their phones overnight. Downstairs, they offer multiple 'restaurants', but each has a very small footprint with highly overpriced bland food, i.e. no brand-name restaurants on property like the other local hotels offer. So please just walk down the street (or get a ubiquitous uber) for meals. Grocery stores are nearby as well. The only exception (and the reason they get two instead of one star) is breakfast. Really nice spread of options, all included for gold and above level members. The gym is very strange, as it seems to be open to memberships so it was full of bodybuilders that are intimidating to weekend warrior hotel guests. The spa is very small, limited rooms with some cleanliness issues, and limited treatment options. You pay some exorbitant 'resort' fee of $65 per day for internet (you should get for free) and to play tennis for an hour, though no one seemed to be playing. Towels are locked up because they don't trust you (and I guess $65 per day per room isn't enough to replace lost towels). Bottom line, not in a 1000 years would I ever think of returning here if it was a stateside hotel. Even if I was headed back to PR, I'd think of avoiding marriott just to never set foot in this hotel again.

I stayed here for a day prior to embarking on a cruise. The location is great. It is on a beach and within walking distance to lots of eateries, pharmacy, etc. The beach was okay but not one of my favorites, it’s a public beach so at the time of our visit people were basting music and smoking weed, thus was not the relaxing atmosphere that I prefer. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. I loved the fact that our room had a balcony. I picked up some breakfast from the great cafe they have in the hotel and was able to sit on the balcony while watching people play pickle ball

5 star service: beach staff, servers, housekeeping and check in. Great beach location and easy to access restaurants, bars, and downtown. Good buffet breakfast rack morning with unlimited mimosas! We never sat at the pool, it seemed more kid centric. All public spaces were very clean and modern.
5th time staying here and can’t wait to return. Wonderful location, great pool area and very friendly staff. Rented a cabana and had the couples massage at their spa. Both very nice experiences. Many restaurant options right out the front door. Highly recommend.

The location cannot be beat with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has had some renovations namely the wide and spacious bar area as you enter the lobby, very nice, great staff and terrific cocktails. Our room was ocean front and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning with coffee and at sunset with cocktails. The only real negative for us was the sub par food in the beach restaurant, (few choices, arrived cold) and the overwhelming smell of mildew in our room. Had we stayed longer than 3 nights, we would have definitely requested another room, however our friends' room on a different floor had the same problem which makes me wonder if all the rooms smelled of mildew.

Great ocean front hotel with friendly staff and plenty of amenities. Took advantage of the spa services including the sauna. Loved the pool areas and the beach access. Our room had a balcony with gorgeous ocean front views. The room could’ve used a little maintenance, but the decor was modern enough for our taste. There are several dining options inside the hotel and outside within walking distance. We enjoyed Pinky’s for breakfast most mornings (just a few blocks away).

A Great Escape with Great service
Nice location, ample beach chairs and umbrellas, nightly entertainment, a great escape. When at the lobby bar, look for Brian Figueroa, imaginative bartender with a great sense of humor, creating a very friendly atmosphere. Overall, service was excellent but certain staff members, like Brian, stood out.
