Some of the following reviews on here are lies. There IS ac in the restaurants. Not one restaurant was hot or even too warm for an entire 9 days we were there. Complete lie. Ignore the English accent review. I’m Canadian and can’t speak a word of Spanish and never once did an employee ignore me or had any issues with communication. Hotel is not tired or old looking. People just make this crap up. We are booking again for next t winter to go back for third time. And no, never get the ViP upgrade…. Not worth it at this small resort.

We came here for our wedding and it was amazing! All of our guests- families, couples, young, old, all had a great time. Theres something for everyone. So beautiful and fun. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Our butler Michael and wedding coordinator Miha were beyond helpful and took care of anything we needed. Even with the resort booked our, it didn’t feel overly crowded.

Not for English client, soon as staff hear accent you are ignored The nickname for the resort is punta Canada, to get a sunbed you will need to be up by 6am, any issue is referred to guest relations, not management Hotels tired and needs fefresh

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Juan Carlos Ladooo and Fernelis at Sand Bar, and they were truly exceptional! Their energy was infectious, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. They went above and beyond to make me feel special, ensuring every drink was crafted perfectly and served with a smile. Their attention to detail and friendly personalities made my visit unforgettable. If you're ever at Sand Bar, make sure to stop by and experience their top-tier service! Also Jordany serving on the beach was fantastic!

Lovely resort. Restaurants were excellent, buffet very nice, any drinks you wanted and very plentiful and very friendly staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Room fridge well stocked. Adoni was a star - nothing was too much trouble for him. Very recommended

This resort is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There was a slight delay getting our room ready in time for check-in. We spoke to another family that was significantly downgraded from what they booked for the same reason. The food and drink really is all inclusive. The laundry service, bottles of wine, resort shop merchandise, and excursions are not free. The resort uses an app that has a lot of great features, but there were issues creating reservations for many of the restaurants. Because I have food allergies, buffets are unwise. It was more difficult to get safe food than I would have liked, but not impossible. We realized a lot of the app issues exist on purpose to force people to attend "Diamond Membership" sales pitches in exchange for what they need. Yaque the concierge for Building 18 helped us get into Hunter Steakhouse for dinner, but at the price of a sales pitch. Estalin at Guest Services helped me get back some misplaced laundry and I am SO grateful. Overall, a great place to stay, but be prepared for strings attached if you need anything beyond the base level experience. PS--Don't drink the tap water or eat the mussels! Have fun!

My partner and i had an absolutely incredible stay here. We made the trip for a much needed holiday and to celebrate my 22nd birthday and the staff definitely went above and beyond to ensure we had the best visit possible. Our room was amazing, and always kept in pristine condition by the staff every day. We would like to thank Angela specifically who was assigned to us upon checking into our room to help with restaurant reservations etc.. She was so incredibly helpful and absolutely made our trip so much easier. We really appreciated all of her hard work. Alongside this we would like to thank all staff present at the resort during our visit as everyone did their utmost to ensure we had a pleasant trip. We would definitely recommend Royalton Bavaro to any other couples/families looking to travel to the dominican republic as we are thoroughly impressed and very much enjoyed our trip.

Just returned from a week here and like many others, we had read disappointing reviews over the last few months and feared the worst. We needn’t have worried as we had the most amazing week at this paradise !! The resort is well set out and kept spotless by an army of staff who are always attentive and helpful. Our Diamond Club room was beautiful and spacious with good A/C, a balcony overlooking the lazy river and great service from housekeeping keeping it clean and the minibar stocked up ! Our butler Gerlyn was the star who made our holiday so special. From the second we met him at check-in, he was friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure we had the best holiday. He booked all our dinner reservations, messaged us every few hours to see if we needed anything and would come and find us by the pool/beach to say hi and chat with us…..this guy is a legend !! The food deserves high praise, from the high end restaurants to the buffet and snack bars, everything was superb !! The highlight and probably the main reason we chose Royalton Bavaro was the lazy river !! We spent hours drifting around, catching a cocktail in Dips with each lap…..heaven !! The beach has got to be the most beautiful we’ve ever seen !! Would definitely recommend this lovely resort but don’t make the mistake of booking Spring Break if you want a quiet holiday 😜
