The staff in the hotel are wonderful. Special thanks to Katho who is exceptional in their job, going about every morning making sure guests were looked after quickly and professionally. Breakfasts were excellent especially as I need gluten free food. I felt very safe eating here. Evening meals were of a high standard too. The public areas of the hotel were bright and airy however our room was decorated mostly in black with very poor storage which let the hotel down. It could be noisy outside which isn't the fault of the hotel as live singers were performing most nights in the street. We had a lovely week and hope to return to Malta again sometime.

We spent 5 days at the Rosselli hotel and loved everything about it from the minute we arrived. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco. The staff are outstanding, friendly, helpful and so enthusiastic. We had a fab room with our own sauna. The room was large and well arranged and very modern. The shower was excellent was the shower for the sauna, we felt spoilt with two in our room. Daily turndown with chocolates and water bottles daily. Breakfast was also superb with a tower of continental comprising of fresh fruit, cheese, ham and Danish pastries. Then a cooked breakfast to order. Cocktails outside on the side walk was great as well.

My wife and I had the privalege of staying 3 nights at this luxury hotel if we could award this hotel six stars we would gladly do so. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly by both Amol and Rose. They presented us with a welcome glass of prosecco. In fact, everyone front of house couldn’t do enough for us. Before we even arrived at the hotel we received a warm introductory email from Dahy. Shout out also to Tom, who was truly helpful. Service was exceptional from everyone, including the unsung heroes of housekeeping such as Arun. Our Superior room was super clean and contained thoughtful touches like a soap menu. Now that’s luxury! As for the food, under the stewardship of chef maestro Victor Borg, it was sublime. We were blown awsy by the quality and inventiveness of the dishes. The restaurant service was perfect - big thanks to: Katho, Maridol and Rohit. They were so professional and helpful. Breakfast here is beyond decadent. We feel we have found our new home in Malta. This hotel is perfectly located and sets the bar for personal service.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at a lovely hotel in the heart of Valletta. Having traveled extensively around the world, I can confidently say that this hotel stands out with its exceptional service. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home!!!!!! Our room was spotless and elegantly decorated, featuring a sauna. Although it was an internal room without a window facing the main street, the ambiance was still delightful. I had booked a room only option, but I noticed they offered a fantastic selection for breakfast, which I would love to try on my next visit. Overall, I can't wait to return to Malta and this charming hotel!

From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, even offering me a complimentary Prosecco, which was such a refreshing touch for such a long flight! My room was absolutely beautiful and had such a unique charm. The staff truly went above and beyond—they were all so friendly and helpful. And the breakfast? It was simply superb! Sitting on the platform, watching people stroll through the gorgeous streets, made it even more special. All in all, I can’t recommend this hotel enough and can’t wait to come back!

We booked the Rosselli through a well known and reputable travel agent. Our stipulation for a twin room was on the booking, followed up by us on a phone call to the hotel - 'Twin room - no problem' they said. We also sent an email. On arrival despite what reception said, the room was a double. 'Must be housekeeping - nothing we can do' was reception's stance. The next day, the reason given for the failure was that people who book through a third party are difficult to get hold of!!. I interpreted this that rooms booked through a travel agent are given less priority than those booked direct. Compensation was a free drink which was denied initially as no one had made a note of it. The first room was a rather gloomy dark marble, too many gadgets, no door on the bathroom and an automatic light in the toilet that went out while you sat! The mattress protector seemed to be old and crackled as you turned over in bed. Biscuits in the room bar were an astronomical price (we only found the price list elsewhere). I am probably getting a bit nit picky here but it all added up. The hotel moved us to another room half way through and this room was excellent. On the plus side, the hotel location is very central and I couldn't fault the majority of the staff. Breakfast outside was great with friendly and helpful service. The rooftop bar was excellent (when open) and the wine talk was superb. The second room was excellent and had a complementary bottle of local wine This hotel was very expensive and it was a special occasion for us - would we stay here again? Sorry but the answer is 'No'.

First the pros- great location, very friendly and helpful staff, Herons Suite room was spotless, spacious and funky. Now the cons- room very dark and one side lamp broken. Both TV remotes flat ( we did mention to housekeeping on the first night but nothing was done ). Housekeeping very short of staff, our room was not ready by 4pm on the second day. Soap selection tray was empty. Only one loo roll. We gave our credit card details upon arrival to set up credit, asked for drinks to be put on the bill and told it wasn't possible. Extra charges for some items at breakfast which I found odd. All in all, minor details missed and could be prefect.

Spent 5 nights here in early October and loved it. It is in a great position right in the middle of lovely Valletta and close to all bars and restaurants. Rooms are great and the roof top bar is nice to chill during the day and have a drink in the evening. But what actually makes this place special is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was lovely - great service and very friendly. Special mention to Rohit and Katho who provided exceptional service and are a real asset to the hotel. We will be back !!

This charming hotel was a shop many many years ago. Portraits of the previous owners are in the lobby. We were greeted with a welcome drink. The staff was kind enough to help us with our luggage from the taxi as the hotel is located on a pedestrian street. The hotel is charming. There is an open foyer with a fountain where you can sit and relax. Ahmad shared the history of the hotel with us as we enjoyed the serenity of the space. Our room was lovely! The king size bed was truly a king size. The hotel is charming and houses Michelin star restaurant, Under Grain. They also have Over Grain which is on the roof with lovely views of the sea. We enjoyed cocktails in the evenings at Over Grain. We arrived quite late so we had a snack at Grain Street which is their Michelin Bib. Despite the kitchen having closed, they made us a wonderful charcuterie plate which we enjoyed with cocktails. The street is lively but quiets down after 11pm. Our room was street facing and we had no trouble with noise. To the contrary, it was quite dark and comfortable. Merchant Street has many restaurants and we loved the vibe. The hotel offers turn down service which I really appreciate. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Valletta. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Truly a 5 Star Experience
Fantastic location, staff could not have been more helpful, breakfast was amazing, enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop terrace with a cocktail and used the splash pool to cool down after walking round the attractions in Valletta. Definitely a 5 star experience and would not hesitate to return

We had booked a short break quite late and stayed here Sunday-Thursday. From the moment we arrived, the attentiveness of all of the staff was first rate. Nothing was too much effort. Make sure you talk to them about them, some great backgrounds and to be able to share some of that enriched the experience. Upon their advice based on a maintenance issue we moved rooms, no issue, they were very apologetic and sought to ensure we were happy with the alternative. Breakfast, I honestly don’t know where to start - we believe this is the best breakfast choice, quality and service we have had in over 30 years of travelling. Whether it was continental, English breakfast, or anything in between, all superb. Will truly miss this. We ate at Grain Street twice, second time the tasting menu. Loved every dish without exception. Nowhere else we ate at this week compares to the quality and attention to detail and service that the hotel offers. The soap menu in the rooms is a nice touch, we took opportunity to use this.

Firstly this hotel has a perfect location, very well appointed and maintained to a very high standard. The staff, to a person, are all attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and a true reflection of what a five star hotel needs to have to impress. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the A/C is superb and the bathroom is delightful. The dining areas, both inside and out, are a thoroughly pleasant place to sit and enjoy the food and drink on offer. There are, however, a couple of issues do detract from the experience and make the cost hard for me to justify. The whole entrance to the hotel reception and lobby is marble and glass, as are the short walkways to the rooms, which generates a huge echo chamber which amplifies bedroom doors closing, people laughing and general chit chat. Obviously this cannot be avoided but it is frustrating to have to listen to. However the noise from outside is, at times, overbearing as the hotel is situated on Merchant Street (one of the main thoroughfares through the city) and can last until well after midnight. On top of that the continual scraping of tables, chairs or sun loungers both outside on the street and above our ceiling on the roof top terrace is not acceptable in a hotel of this standard. A simple solution is to have two people carrying as opposed to one person dragging. Other little niggles include the pool which is well photographed on the website but is very, very small (plunge pool only), the windows in our room were at knee height with no balcony and the room remained on the dark side during the day. I understand what has tired to be achieved with this hotel and in many, many ways the mission has been accomplished but the issues described above do detract from overall experience. I won’t divulge the cost of the weeks stay as I am not looking for a refund of any kind however I would struggle to justify a return visit. To sum up, the staff and food are this establishments biggest assets (The Under Grain restaurant is a true masterclass in fine dining, the Street Grain restaurant is fantastic as well). The physical structure of the hotel cannot altered and some of my ‘issues’ may never be addressed but others can, and should be. My wife wanted to give a 4 star review which demonstrates that some of what is commented on is down to personnel preference.

Only the best impression of the Hotel. The staff is so professional, you really feel very welcomed! Perfect work of ladies at Reception and fantastic work of Housekeeping, our room was super clean. It’s important that it’s very quiet in the room while the center of Valletta is quite a busy place. Our Maltese balcony had a stunning view of Valletta, the hotel’s location is great. Mattress, pillows and linen are one of the most comfortable you can find in hotels, we slept like babies. There are lovely aromas in the room and in lobby, we liked it very much. Rooftop and Over Grain bar is a perfect place to chill out, sunbathe and for cocktails of course. Grain Street is Michelin restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner, it’s going without saying that food is so good and the service is very professional. Can’t wait to come back there!!!

Stayed here with my wife for seven nights. This hotel is boutique as in the name and small as in meaning. There is very little facilities here apart from a rooftop terrace(tiny swimming pool) and this was out of bounds to guests on the Saturday due to a wedding reception. We were offered a half hour taxi ride to their sister hotel in Sliema to use their facilities. Good housekeeping was also in short supply. On two days our room was not made up until nearly six o'clock in the evening and then only after repeatedly having to phone reception. This place was not cheap at 336 euros a night without breakfast As they say where I come from "not all it was cracked up to be".

We had a basic room, but it was spotless. The decor is different but pleasing. We have tea and coffee facilities plus a fridge in the room. The bed was really comfortable. Despite our room being at the front of the hotel, noise was not a problem. The air conditioning was also quiet. The shower was large and easy to use. Our "butler" was very friendly and looked after us well. In fact all of the staff we met were helpful and friendly. On arrival we were greeted with a welcoming drink. Our negatives are few. The wardrobe is not tall enough hang a dress. The on/off switch for the AC is very bright and green and lights up the room. The wall light opposite the bathroom has a very large cover which both of us whacked with our heads in the night. It is too low. Cupboard space for storing clothes is too high. But we really enjoyed our stay here and would heartily recommend it. Visiting Under Grain is also highly recommended.
