I will start by stating that I do not typically write negative reviews. If I experience a hotel stay that isn't up to par, I usually just let it go. But because of this hotel's lack of response, I feel it necessary to share our negative experience here: We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of August to enable daily trips to the Amalfi Coast. This hotel looks nice and modern and had good reviews. Upon entering, you do smell a hint of smoke when in the lobby because they have a "cigar smoking room" there and evidentially it doesn't contain all of the smoke. The staff was ok and some seemed that they weren't happy being there. We had drinks at the bar on a couple of nights and I had thought that they gave me someone else's half drunken glass with my first drink since there was almost nothing in my glass but soon noticed that all of our party's drinks were the same....very little in the glass for a high price. This wasn't our real issues though. The first night, I took a shower which also was a steam room with a bench and mood lighting. Appears nice. I turned on the shower and then pressed a button that said "excite" which blasted out cold water. Instantly the shower and all of our room started to smell like rotten eggs/sulfur. I turned it off, but by then the whole room spelled of rotten eggs. I informed the front desk the next morning and they stated that they would have their engineers look at it when we were away. The next day, we returned late at night. I started to take a shower and found that housekeeping only placed one clean towel in our room and no shower gel. My wife had to call the front desk. After 20 minutes of no one showing up, she called again and they eventually brought us up the needed towels and shower gel to enable us both to shower. The third day, we arrived late again to find that housekeeping accidentally left the "steam" setting on (for many hours) while cleaning which left water on the floor and all on the glass shower door. The last and fourth night, we returned late again. I heard my wife scream when she attempted to use the restroom and found a very large cockroach running around the tiny restroom. She immediately called the front desk who sent up housekeepers immediately. One had a can of raid and sprayed behind the toilet. This forced the large cockroach into the open which she was then able to kill it. Two other housekeepers came up to clean and sanitize the restroom area. The manager called to apologize and offered to place us in a different room She also made excuses that this happens at times due to the hotel being across the street from the port, which is not a valid excuse to share with a paying customer, especially paying over $1,200 per night. Because it was already late at night and we had to leave early the next morning, we declined the offer to move. Upon checkout, we thought that they would try to make things right by offering to discount our room rate, but instead offered us some of their branded merchandise as an apology. When we returned home, I sent an email to management giving them an opportunity to make things right, but their management has not responded. I would otherwise not have written this negative review if they would have seen the value of making things right with us due to all of these issues. This is not how a higher end hotel should operate and they should learn how to make things right with their customers when things go wrong at their hotel.

Top 5 star hotel in Napoli. My fiancé and I highly enjoyed this hotel and the city of Napoli. This hotel was like an oasis in an urban environment. Prime location near the port. After 4 days in Capri we arrived in Napoli by ferry and was able to easily walk to the hotel from the port without even needing a taxi. Centrally located to all the popular spots in Napoli including the Spanish quarter, shopping, historical sites as well as the amazing street of Spaccanapoli. Andrea at the front desk as well as his team took great care of us to ensure we had an exception stay. Also the nice gentleman by the pool area (blond ish hair and blue eyes) apologies I wish I remembered your name I’m so sorry, but thank you for taking care of us. He recommended us to have the best espresso martinis we’ve ever had. We were upgraded to a spacious front facing room. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The plunge pool area was the best. It was nice to cool off with an unobstructed view of Mt. Vesuvius. What was super special about this hotel was that two hours daily you get access to the spa which we absolutely used. The spa was the best and made me so relaxed. Had multiples saunas , Hot and cold baths, tea room and a large fitness center with all the equipment you would need. We didn’t plan on visiting Mt. Vesuvius thinking we didn’t have enough time, so we asked the front desk if it’s possible to go and how to get there. They arranged a car right away for us literally in seconds at a great fixed rate that brought us to the top of the mountain and back. The experience was truly breathtaking and so thankful they helped us make it happen as that was a once in a lifetime experience. I can’t wait to return especially with the new infinity pool and rooftop being added. Great property which is also part of Small Luxury Hotel (SLH). Loved the Romeo , the team and the beautiful city of Napoli. Warmest Regards, Michael Ruggiero

Hotel in centre of Naples very beautiful and comfortable. The spa equipped with every comfort, specialized and courteous staff. The rooms are spacious well-kept and clean. We also tasted their cuisine and it was tasty and well organized. 5 stars even more I recommend this beautiful hotel in Naples
Great experience overall. Super close (3 min walk) to ferry terminal that will take you to Capri. Room is super quiet, really. Balmain Paris toiletries... Special thanks to Lorenzo, Vincenzo and Marta at the front desk - amazing customer service. Wonderful spa experience.

We were lucky enough to stay in the Romeo in Naples for a second time in two years. The location is perfect for us, we like to watch the coming and going of the dock life. The hotel has recently had improvements done to the restaurant and pool areas. Although the pool was yet to be opened, the restaurant had replaced the solid wall facing Vesuvius with full wall glass. What a view! The best place for breakfast, and for that matter, the best breakfast. It is served to the table with all the love and care one can imagine. The relaxing service is added to by the amazing restaurant staff. Thank you to Antonio and his colleagues for adding good company and fun to our tasty meals ( try the cook pot eggs…great ). The reception and concierge staff are helpful and beautiful in equal measures, and the doormen attentive and fun. There is absolutely no reason that given the opportunity we would not return in a heart beat. Thank you Romeo.

Discovered upon our arrival that renovations were taking place and that the beautiful roof top pool area was closed as a result. This had been a major reason for us choosing the hotel. We had not been notified and there is no alert on the website. Main entrance also inaccessible and had to use a side entrance. I understand that hotels need to do renovations and maintenance but being advised of such prior to making a booking seems reasonable?

Luxury hotel within a few minutes walk to incredible sites and food! We spent our last night here before flying back to the USA, they arranged a taxi for us and delivered breakfast to our room since we were leaving before breakfast started. The had walked us to our room to show us everything and explain any details of the room that we may not be familiar with (automatic blinds, etc). We were so happy to have a relaxing night in this hotel before flying back to the US.

She wasn’t kidding, not only is the cappuccino in the bar amazing, but so is everything else about this hotel! Every single staff member is genuinely friendly, professional, and very helpful. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well maintained. The spa has multiple saunas and steam rooms, and their gym is bigger and has more equipment than some of the private gyms I’ve gone to. The breakfast is made to order and delicious. They have a full bar with lots of cocktail options. I would definitely stay here again and recommend hotel Romeo to anyone looking for exceptional service and experience.
