This hotel is amazing from top to bottom. It is elegant but not pretentious. It is full of style, but not subconsciously so. The service is impeccable, but not fussy. I cannot imagine a better hotel experience anywhere in the world. And to top it off the restaurant and cocktail...

I cannot imagine a better hotel experience anywhere in the world. And to top it off the restaurant and cocktail bar were wonderful. Looking for the perfect martini, search no further. We cannot wait to return.

We stayed at 3 "luxury" hotels in Sicily, and this was the best by far. It's like staying at the private villa of a billionaire friend. The grounds are gorgeous, and pleasant to walk around at any time of day or night. Room was wonderful. Staff was excellent. Breakfast is excellent. The restaurant was great, we ate there two nights and had an awesome time. The setting is just magical. The spa was excellent, but super expensive. Also, be advised that this hotel is about a 15-20 minute car ride to the center of Palermo. This is a good thing, because the hotel is a quiet oasis, but you have to plan to drive to get to/from the city center. walking is impossible. The hotel has a van that runs every hour, but you have to reserve because it's busy. Also, cabs in Palermo will rip you off brazenly, so use Uber instead. Cab rides back to the hotel cost us anywhere between 19 and 39 euro depending on the time of day, and how shady the driver was. All in all, I loved this hotel so much, and I'm already dreaming of when we can return.

From the moment I booked this trip to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday, until the day we left, it was a terrific experience. I need to call out Francesco, the Concierge, who went above and beyond helping to arrange a private tour guide/car for a day; and a fishing excursion, and a car transfer to Taormina when we left. He also had excellent restaurant recommendations. Back and forth emails for a couple of months prior to arrival and then when we met him on site he continued to help us navigate our stay. The whole staff was amazing! Welcoming. Remembering us when we came for breakfast, or drinks in the evening. We truly felt special and part of the 'family'. The service at Villa Igiea is overall the best I've experienced and I do stay at many 5-star/luxury properties. I am a Global Marketing Events Director for a major consulting firm and host VIP events all over the world. (Just so you know I have experience, ):-).Thank you for the royal treatment. Our suite was spacious, tasteful, so comfortable. Always kept clean, turn down service, etc. Additionally - the front desk honored my request for a French Balcony - and our view was spectacular. Meals: All were wonderful, delicious, flavorful, fresh. We happily dined with you for every meal more than once, including a very memorable dinner. Spa: Wonderful few hours being pampered by body treatments. it was heaven. The only small 'con' is that the location is not walkable to downtown Palermo. But it is a very short Uber/taxi ride away (and the hotel has a shuttle, we just preferred to go places on our own timing) - and those services are easy to get/use.

Just returned from a weekend in Palermo and a stay at Villa Igiea. Everything about this hotel is first class, 5-stars. From the moment you check in, the team couldn’t be more friendly or do enough for you to make you feel comfortable. Extremely well appointed rooms, fantastic dining and a beautiful location. If you are looking for somewhere to stay Palermo, look no further. We were sad to leave but cannot wait to return. Thank you to everyone at the hotel - you are truly marvelous.

We enjoyed 3 nights while in Palermo. The hotel is in a beautiful Art Nouveau former villa/hospital. The building and gardens are beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable with private patio. The Villa is set on a sea wall overlooking a marina and the beautiful sea. The bar was fabulous and we enjoyed the cocktail making experience as well as the creativity of cocktails based on the impressive history of Palermo. We also enjoyed dinner in the garden and in the rest. Food and service were great. Fabulous breakfast was included as well. The concierge desk was helpful in booking tours and transportation as well. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

The service was 5 star. There was one particular staff member who made our stay memorable, Monica. She was very in tune with our needs and made accommodations for us. The concierge Francisco was amazing upon check-in answering all of our questions witjiur acception.

We came here from the Sicily sister property, Verdura Resort, and have previously stayed at The Charles in Munich. This property had the best service of all 3. We were upgraded to a suite after having a couple issues at Verdura and were blown away with the size and views. We had a big sitting area room, separate bedroom, hallway of closet space and a spacious bathroom with 2 sinks at the vanity and nice size shower (and separate tub). All beautifully appointed as well as luxurious linens. The front desk staff and patio lounge staff were over the top friendly. Exactly what you would expect at a hotel of this caliber. We didn’t use the pool but walked past it and although there were plenty of loungers spread around the area the pool itself was small (especially compared to the Verdura!) We had a questionable taxi fare (40e) from the city center that was only 8 minutes away so be aware. No fault of the hotels, just a side note for visitors as the city center requires a taxi ride after the shuttle hours have ended. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay here and only wished it had been longer.

The one thing I would suggest is that they figure out a way to keep smokers separated from those that don't in the outdoor bar area. The smoke wafts all over and it is very uncomfortable and unhealthy.

Our room was spectacular as we upgraded to a one bedroom suite in adjoining building which was one of the finest hotel rooms and terraces we have had the pleasure to stay. WOW. Anastasia/Martina/Roy and I wish I wrote down all the other names of people that made our experience life memorable. Florio staff. ALL. Villa Igiea was the one of the most elegant hotels my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The hotel grounds were maintained to perfection, the scenery was beautiful, the service and food were outstanding, and the rooms were very nice as well. Geronimo from the Alicetto restaurant at the hotel was particularly amazing; he served my wife and I, and could not have been more helpful. He was so kind and funny, and we truly enjoyed the stories he had to tell us about how he grew up in Sicily. I hope he gets to see this because we did not get a chance to thank him before we left for the next part of our trip.
