Our second visit and as nice as the first. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Helpful with restaurants and shopping suggestions. Appreciate how they remember and call you by name. Loud music one night from across the street. We mentioned and they immediately offered to move us and showed different room options. While touring they moved everything for us and left some treats, classy touch. At check out they noted for future stays to give us a room in the back which is much quieter. Since we spend little time in room, view of the square not really important for us. Hotel is very conveniently located. Highly recommend.

We stayed in a Junior Deluxe Suite (lowest level suite) for three nights in early January. The rooms were very well appointed with great layouts and felt very fresh. The service was truly exceptional -- front desk, concierge, bellmen, housekeeping – not a single weak spot. I can’t remember a better service experience at this price point. I would recommend it highly except for one caveat – the square it fronts was extremely noisy our first night with buskers/entertainers playing amplified music until around 1 am. The second night was better (but it was drizzling). The hotel has double paned windows but not the very best kind (I’d recommend they invest in a second set of interior windows which could be accommodated in the deep old window frames). We switched rooms to one in the back because of the noise and it was totally fine (you face an alley). The hotel was very gracious about our noise complaints and did everything they could including tightening up the window seals. So my four star rating is really an average – 5 stars for a room in the back and 3 for one in the front. I see there are varying opinions about the noise in other reviews so it may vary from day to day and person to person. I’d also note that the gym is excellent (for a European city hotel).

The hotel is located across from a busy square and popular restaurant. It is a lively area so if you need quiet to sleep, make sure you ask for a room in the back. The hotel is elegant and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The food at Irene is great and the service the best we had during our 2 weeks in Italy. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. The attention to detail was noticeable from the heat lamp on the croissants at breakfast, to the healthy snacks in the gym. We stayed at four luxury properties during our Italy vacation, and this was the best.

This is an outstanding hotel with a great location just steps away from the Duomo, the Uffize Gallery, the Accademia and the two squares Repubblica and Signoria. My wife and I loved the high quality, the friendly and generously smiling service received throughout the hotel from Mahmoud and Sotir the door men that welcomed us upon arrival and the reception‘s staff Alessandra, Martina, Giulio, Carlos, Christian and the young man who took care of our check in and kindly accompanied us to the room. We opted to dine every night at Irene‘s, the hotel restaurant, besides the food the staff is welcoming, warm, attentive and efficient. My wife and I are vegetarians and Maya, Susy, Danielle, Andrea, Andrea, Giambattista, Cosimo, Tonny and Paolo had generously adjusted the menu to our needs and tastes. We shouldn’t miss mentioning the generous breakfast buffets, which are included We were upgraded from an Jr. Suite to a luxurious Suite where everything from the large living room with a large desk and bookshelves with plenty of good books like George Orwell’s Animal Farm and fruit bowl. The bed, the linens and bathroom amenities were exquisite. The housekeeping ladies did an excellent job and we also appreciated the punctuality of turn down service. For us the Savoy is part of the collection of hotels that one does not want to leave as well as those that one wants to return to. As a long time hotelier and traveler the high quality of this hotel in all aspects is difficult to beat. Thank you for making our vacation so special!

I didn’t research this property prior to our visit. I trusted our travel agent who adores this hotel and booked the Savoy for our vacation. I cannot adequately express our gratitude and satisfaction. Location: The hotel is perfectly situated in Florence. You cannot find a better location. Period. Concierge: Where do I begin? It started with the emails back and forth from New York. Day or night we received immediate and detailed responses. Vittorio and Marco, you are the best of the best. Vittorio and Marco were on top of restaurant reservations, train reservations, etc. and responded immediately to emails; with immediate handling of every request and responsive to every inquiry. Vittorio was also our personal photographer (thank you for volunteering this amazing service :)) and thanks to you, Vittorio, we have gorgeous photos. We also appreciate that you took the time to point out and educate us on the beautiful artwork in the hotel. Front desk: Perfect. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. The front desk staff were happy to help with anything and always with a smile. Thank you Rosa, Dada (and others whose names I do not have- I am so sorry). Irene restaurant: Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast every day. No request was too much to ask and each request was executed perfectly. Coffee was always hot, buffet was gorgeous and I cannot think of anything they didn’t have. Susy and Lucia had our orders memorized and made sure our meals were prepared perfectly and we were happy. Susy and Lucia made sure we had everything we needed (constantly replacing my ice and sparkling water) and were so sweet and attentive; we truly enjoyed our mornings with them (and the rest of the Irene staff). Doormen: Hassan, Lorenzo, Sotir and Pietro (Peter :)) made sure we had cold water with us when we left for our day’s journey and answered all of our questions with smiles. They gave us directions, made sure we were safely in our taxis and just could not have been nicer or more attentive. Beauty of the property: The hotel is gorgeous, modern in a beautiful, simple, classic and calming way. The room was maintained impeccably. The bed was so comfortable we overslept every day. The towels, washcloths bath amenities were consistently replaced and there was not one time we needed anything we didn’t have. Ice was delivered to the room immediately. The designer of the interior did such a wonderful job. We felt very calm with the neutral tones, the marble and happy with the colorful and beautiful artwork that adorned the walls. In sum, Perfection in every way. Thank you, Hotel Savoy. We will always smile when we think of you. And we will be back!
