We spent 2 weeks at Rixos Seagate to celebrate my husband's 70th Birthday. We had a wonderful time in spite of the weather being so windy half the time. We had previously spent 2 weeks at Rixos Sharm adult only in December and loved it. We had been over to Seagate and thought we would try it for a change, also it was a bit cheaper for those 2 weeks.
Our room was on the ground floor, block 21, near the activity pool. It was a perfect location for us as we enjoyed the music round the pool and joined in with all the aqua activities. I especially enjoyed aqua jumping and Boxing.
We also enjoyed a swim before breakfast. The pool was heated to a comfortable temperature for swimming.
Our cleaner Hesham was fantastic. He kept our room spotlessly clean and was always asking if everything was OK and did we need anything else. He brought us extra coat hangers when I asked. The free minibar was stocked daily with wine, beer, soft drinks, water, chocolate and crisps. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, dental kit, shaving kit etc.
We had 5 or 6 days of the coldest weather that we had ever experienced in our many visits to Egypt. Luckily I had checked the weather forecast before we left the UK and packed accordingly. The wind was strong and cold, but it was hot on our terrace. The lifeguard carried a sun lounger onto our terrace and I was happy relaxing there out of the wind.
The Buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing. Trays of fresh strawberries. Warm croissants. Freshly squeezed orange. Such a wide choice of food. Nice outside eating area. Relaxing, live music played inside the buffet.
We managed to eat in the a la carts every evening apart from our first night. Sometimes our meal was spoiled by screaming children so we tried to get an 8.30 sitting but then we missed half the show. You could also book for an a la court breakfast instead of an evening a la cart. The food was lovely in all the restaurants. They brought a cake over and sang, Happy birthday to my husband.
We went over to the aqua park a couple of times. It was a kids paradise. The water was heated, which was a bonus. Great choice of tubes for all different ages, wave pool, lazy river. Towels, indoor showers, lockers, restaurants. It was amazing.
The spa was beautiful. We enjoyed going in the evening for a sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room, which was all free.
The lobby was lovely with heaters outside and a musician playing. Great Irish coffee made with Jamesons that was so strong it warmed you right up.
We spent our time between the Seagate and Rixos Sharm for our sporting activities. The animation team at Rixos Sharm are great, and they remembered us from our holiday there in December. My husband went there for beach volleyball every day. We also went for sunset party at 4.30. I wished they played music that I recognised but it was still a good atmosphere. We love DJ Fella. She played the best music and had so much energy.
I loved Zumba with Tim and wish there had been more classes. Yoga with Olga was great but didn't always get up in time for the 7.30am class at Seagate and had to travel for 9am class at Rixos Sharm.
We loved the evening entertainment but it was so cold some evenings and you needed to be next to a heater. It was annoying to see all the empty sofas in the VIP areas that were never used. We went to Rixos Sharm some nights when there were too many children on the dance floor. The Gala night was amazing. Such talented acrobats and dancers. There was an after party with DJ Bob in the disco every evening.
If we went over to Rixos Sharm for the evening we always managed to get one of the shuttle buses to take us back to Seagate, even after midnight.
Snorkeling off the jetty at Seagate is better than Rixos Sharm and there is a large Grouper that hangs around near to the jetty which is quite spectacular to see. A shuttle runs to the end of the jetty. It is a long jetty almost three quarters of a mile long. There is a roped off area for swimming half way.
The staff at both Rixos hotels all work extremely hard and are so friendly. I would like to say thank you to them all. The hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean and the gardens and lights were so beautiful. The gardeners all work really hard to maintain such a high standard. We also liked the fridges of water that you could help yourself to without having to queue at the bar.
My only complaint about Rixos Seagate was it was quite difficult to find out what was happening as they were working on the toilet s by the sports area so all the posters were covered up. I discovered towards the end of the holiday that you had to scan the Rob butler service code to find out what was happening.
Rixos hotels are expensive, but you get what you pay for. We especially liked the unlimited towels without having to worry about a towel card. They have probably spoiled us from going to the cheaper hotels in Egypt that don't have such a high standard and range of facilities. We would love to bring our children and Grandchildren here one day as they would love it too.

Firstly, this is not the first Rixos Premier that we have visited. I know that we should not compare but I would expect the same service across the brand.
Upon arrival, like others, there was no welcome drink although reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
The hotel itself is a good size and you have access to to the Aqua park site as well as the Rixos Sharm El Shiekh, along with all the eating places and bars on all three sites.
We do have negatives about the hotel. The amount of staff across the site that are on their mobile phones is quite extraordinary. We don't know if management are aware or encourage this practise but it would appear to be widespread, from cleaners in toilets to chefs standing in the BBQ area on the terrace of the Turquoise Restaurant, watching a movie, to waitering staff viewing there phones in drawers, instead of serving. Or staff just appearing to check their phones.
Toilets with no toilet paper and female sanitary towels lying discarded outside garbage bins in the toilet in the main reception area. There is no accounting for what guests do, however if staff have time to be on their phones , or as they say, time to lean, they have time to clean.
If the small things are done well then the big issues don't occur.
There has been technical issues with the "Al a Carte" reservations system over the past few days but fortunately we were able to book all our reservations prior to this system failure.
On the positive side, staff are superb (those not on phones!) We have had the pleasure of meeting some really good members of staff, who have bent over backwards to accommodate and provide a really good service. The staff at the Fountain pool bar are top notch, Samuel, Hussein and Ibrahim. Also deserving a special mention are Ahmed and Mohammad, who are only 2 of a very good life guard team. Yes, they put out your towels, put the parasols up and down, but actually do watch out for safety in the pool. We have witnessed staff going in twice in the past week to assist those in trouble in the pool. They would appear to be well trained and very capable conducting their role.
The food is really good, not only in the Turquoise Restaurant but in all the self service restaurants across all three sites. There is something for everyone and is to a really good standard. The Al a Carte restaurants speak for themselves for the high quality of food.
Mini bar is refilled daily with drinks and small snicker bars as well as crisps ( potato chips) and the room has been cleaned well on a daily basis.
Overall it has been a good holiday experience but to make it a real 5 star hotel standards need to be set and maintained. If you go to one Rixos Premier Hotel, the standard of service should be the same as the next. It should make no difference which country you go to.

was added and we were taken there by a golf cart - keys didn’t work and the concierge said he would come back in 5 mins with new operational keys. He never came back. To top it all the a’la carte restaurants we viewed in the various videos are unavailable as the computer system is down and despite various attempts to get guest relations and the reception to sort this we are as yet no further forward. Not worthy of 5 star not even close - let alone a 5 star plus experience- extremely disappointed 🥲

I can’t say enough amazing things about this hotel, it is that good for an all inclusive hotel.
The staff are incredible, in particular Mohamed the room attendant for block 3 and Mohamed the life guard for the pool at block 3, always smiling and happy to help!
The food in the buffet restaurant is international cuisine and literally has everything!
But if that’s not your thing the a la carte restaurants are great with lots of choice.
The grounds are so well kept and maintained, without being noisy or intrusive on your holiday, and again all the workers are happy to chat and always smiling.
My tip, if you want a quiet holiday ask for block 3 or 5, they have their own pool and were very quiet during our trip. Our room in block 3 was immaculately clean but does need a bit of tlc to match the rest of the hotel.
Another tip, if you go to reception at 4pm, they bring out little cakes and sandwiches that are lovely with a glass of bubbles or 2.
We have been to Sharm a few times, really just for the weather, we had not found the right hotel until now, this is definitely the right hotel, incredible!!!,

Our second visit to this hotel. Hotel and grounds are gorgeous. Spotless clean in all areas.

Turquoise buffet restaurant is very good with dishes for every nationality and taste.
The seafood and Brazilian restaurants are excellent. We’re booked in for the Asian, Italian and I’m confident they will be of the same high standards.
We've now been to the Asian, Italian and Peoples restaurants. All were excellent for the food and service from all staff
We would like to mention Abdullah, the guy who cleaned our room (5126) all week. Very polite and did an excellent job.
The next member of staff we'd like to thank and give an extra special mention to is Admed who works at the Lagoon Bar daily.
A few days ago we witnessed a incident involving a young kid and his feckless father. The father left the boy sitting at a table by himself, distressed and wet through by the drink he'd accidentally dropped on himself. Admed showed kindness and empathy towards the child so much it brought tears to my eyes. I sincerely hope a member of management reads my praise for Admed and he gets recognized for his kindness x
