We have went to Mexico Rock with Sammy on 2 other occasions. He’s always easy going and has great restaurant tips for San Pedro!
It is about a 45 min boat ride in. For us it was about an hour and 15 min back due to the winds picking up. Again Sammy is a great Captain and knows the best way to navigate the water when it gets choppy.
Thank you Sammy and Vell🤗

We had a wonderful 15th anniversary trip at Ramon’s! We booked the king ocean front room which was amazing, but the grounds are so beautiful, any of them would have been lovely. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We booked 1 snorkeling excursion via Ramon’s and the guides were so kind and informative.
When we made the reservation, we added on the breakfast and dinner package and it was truly a good value. So much food!! Next time, I think we will still add on the breakfast, but not the dinner, there were so many other dinner choices we wanted to try in town.
The location cannot be beat! In the middle of the action, but so quiet since it is surrounded by its own little jungle.
We walked along the beach into the center of town several times and also rented a golf cart to head to secret beach.
I cannot wait to return!

This was my second Scuba.com and this time our group stayed at Ramon's Village on San Pedro Island in Belize.
I found this resort to be an amazing place to go for a week of diving.
First the Resort: The resort arranged for our airfare from Belize city and back and even picked us up from the little airport on San Pedro. The resort is located adjacent to the airport but we had a beachfront room and were gone most of the day diving, so the airport noise did not affect us. The resort staff was friendly, attentive and many of them even learned our names after just one day. The resort was very clean and well attended the whole week were there. Our room was very CLEAN, pretty, and comfortable with excellent air conditioning and good water pressure in the shower. The bed and pillows were amazing! It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.
The pool is in the shade so if you want sun, you have to go to the beach. There is no hot tub on the property.
The resort is located next to a market that has basic supplies for snacks and sundries if needed.
The restaurant at the resort is Pineapple's. Pineapple's had a diverse menu, great daily specials, and tasty food at all meals. The only feedback I have for the restaurant is to offer lighter options at dinner like simple sandwiches because both my husband and I do not like to eat a heavy meal the night before a dive.
The Dive Shop: Since we dove with Scuba.com our group had a dive boat to ourselves and two fantastic dive masters for the whole week. The boat was a typical, well maintained dive boat, the crew went above and beyond everyday, and the dock and locker facilities were steps from our room at the resort. Pete and Kris, our dive masters did a fantastic job with safety briefings, gear management and getting us to some truly memorable dive sites. It was my first time diving in Belize and it was spectacular the whole week. Most of the dive spots aren't far from the resort so they return to the resort between dives for the surface intervals. This made for a really fun time diving. The weather during our time was windy and pretty much every day there were HUGE swells which made getting on the boat from the water a challenge. The boat captains were exceptionally skilled at navigating the large swells and crew did an amazing job keeping us safe in very big water as we got back on the boat. We only missed one day of diving because of weather, but the dive shop worked with our group and offered make up dives later in the week.
The dock/dive shop had rinse tanks and lockers available to manage our gear. The lockers have dive gear hangers and the shop provides the locks.
Highlights of the dives for the week: lots of fishes, sharks, turtles (a couple varieties), eels, gorgeous formations/swim throughs and visibility was crystal clear. Best part was the captain lead a large pod of dolphins to our location while we were diving and the dolphins stayed and swam all around us for at least 20 min.
Thanks for an amazing week of Diving Ramon's!

We had a great stay at Ramon's. Staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. The beach and (slightly heated) pool were relaxing and beautiful. You are a short walk to downtown San Pedro, but a very quick golf cart ride. The hotel is on a small, private beach but next to an airstrip, which is extremely conveinent if you are flying. We found the light hum of the planes overhead relaxing. The food at Pinapples was better than some highly rated resturants elsewhere on the island. We will be excited to come back to Ramons.

Ramons is a lovely place to stay, wonderful location, nice rooms and walking distance to restaurants etc. in San Pedro.
However, I give three stars because of my dive experience there. We did arrive after tropical storm Sara which affected the organisation of dives during our stay. However, level of experience wasn’t taken into account when grouping divers, the set up was rushed, stressful and all options available for diving were not provided. I was completely put off diving during our stay, but luckily had a much better experience during our stay in Hopkins.

Got dive training with Adolfo who was very professional/efficient/friendly. The hotel hut was full of mosquitoes so make sure to get repellent (Ramon's gift shop had very competitive prices, so don't bother looking elsewhere). Otherwise, the breakfast that was included was good and staff were always friendly.

We loved staying in Ramon village and at Steve and Becky’s.
Breakfast was generous and you could order from the breakfast menu at pineapples of the beach as well as have a coffee and juice.
The diving was good and there were lots of trips you could go on, lots of space on the beach and really close to town and other restaurants if you wanted to leave the resort

Seven days was not enough here at Ramon’s. This is definitely the place to stay in San Pedro, close to downtown and everything we were wanting just steps away. We took a private charter with Sammie and had the time of our lives out on the boat. Snorkeling with manatees, barracuda’s, sharks and array of fish. Sammie was fun, informative and I highly recommend him for your day out on the water. Back at the hotel, we had an ocean front room with a view and it was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and cleaned each day by housekeeping. The food here is fantastic, and they do not serve liquor, but the wine list was perfect for us. They also serve an array of smoothies and coffee drinks. Every employee we came across was friendly, helpful and always happy. We walked to town often and felt safe and highly recommend walking as finding golf cart parking can be tough. Definitely rent a golf cart and explore the island, you won’t be disappointed. The grounds are clean, beautifully maintained and the pool was perfect temperature and always sparkling.
We can’t say enough about our stay here and would definitely stay again without question.
Enjoy!

There’s nothing bad I can say about Ramon’s! We absolutely loved it The place is gorgeous and their attention to details is comparable to the finest hotels. Every single person who works there had a smile on their face and a can do attitude. The rooms were very comfortable, air conditioned, an abundant amount of pillows and fluffy towels. The only tiny thing I can suggest is for you to bring bug spray for the evening meal. The restaurants are open air but lovely and the food is good.
