Summary of Verified Guests at Prince Waikiki
Honeymooners praised this Waikīkī hotel for its inviting pool, featuring an attractive infinity edge and attentive, friendly poolside service. They enjoyed the stunning sunset views from their rooms and appreciated the comfort of the beds. The hotel's location was also a highlight, providing a peaceful retreat while still being within a short walking distance to the bustling area of Waikīkī.

I usually love coming to the Prince for staycations, but this time around was a little disappointing. I had paid for the club lounge ($180 per night) for two nights which includes beverages, snacks and meals throughout the day. They had run out of food by 730pm and it’s open until 8pm. I was not able to eat the dinner that I purchased. Instead I had to go to the restaurant (100 sails) and have dinner there which costed me $85. What was the point of getting the club lounge?

Great views, great room, but I wanted to relax on vacation
Really loved the room, great space, great location. Not wild about waiting in line every morning for coffee (ended up going to Mcdonalds). The hot tub never had a time that kids were not being unruly. I wanted to relax and they were kicking and splashing.

During check in we were not given the specifics of our package that we had booked, check in for us felt rushed and I had to go back down and ask for specifics on questions I had had with our package. The infinity pool was under construction and we were not informed of this until we were brought upstairs to the pool deck during check in (disappointing not to be informed of before check in that the work was being performed). We did not spend much time up at the pool at all-the bar that is upstairs has music blaring most of the day which is disappointing (not relaxing). It seemed more like a party atmosphere which I was disappointed in seeing I had stayed here before years ago and I throughly had enjoyed my stay then. We did have the club rooms with access to the lounge which we took full advantage of-it was awesome. The breakfast buffet at the 100 Sails was limited in variety and on Sunday was even more limited and they had moved the normal guests to a smaller condensed room to “cater” more to the brunch guests. Other hotels in the area that offer Sunday brunch usually have it in a different area and allow their normal guests to remain with the same seating and food options so it was disappointing to learn it was not the same here. The hotel could use some updating as it is beginning to show signs of wear. The hotel staff was pleasant and the hotel was clean.

Great hotel in a convenient location closer to Ala Moana Beach and Ala Moana Shopping Center. They have pop up events every so often like the House of Sakura pop up bar when we were visiting where they partnered with Suntory and created craft cocktails.
Really great hotel and good location, we also really appreciated the water filling station in the downstairs lobby! Can get busy with wedding guests and other events going on. There's also a pretty good sushi restaurant located within the hotel.

My wife and I had the pleasure of a four-night stay at Prince Waikiki and it was nothing short of amazing. The concierge welcomed us to an elegant modern lobby and check-in was fast and easy. We were upgraded to the ocean view overlooking the pier and ocean. Our room with a single king size bed was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We also got two free reusable water bottles! The motorized shades in our room gave us Instagram influencer vibes and revealed one of the best views in Waikiki. The gym was a little small, but we were on vacation and really should be outside enjoying the sun and getting steps. The pool is beautiful with plenty of space to swim. There is a jacuzzi and separate infinity pool for nice photo-ops, especially at night! Dinner at the 100 Sails buffet was delicious with a good selection of American and Asian faire. The prime rib and made-to-order hand rolls were delicious! My wife enjoyed the fresh crab and bread pudding desert. The hotel is conveniently located near the Ala Moana mall and is a quick five minute walk. We highly recommend staying at Prince Waiki and they’ll see us again!

Perfect evening. Great service at Happy Hour then beautiful dining experience watching the sunset. Special thanks to server Harold who was fantastic. We will be back!
Come for the weekend buffet!
We live on the island and love coming here for their dinner buffet! All you can eat crab, fresh sashimi, and prime rib make it well worth the price. Our server, John, was friendly and attentive even though it was busy. Delicious cocktails, too!!

We have been coming to Prince Waikiki for years and have never been disappointed. Clean, professional, and fast response to any issues or problems even though there are not many. The staff is always polite and readily available and the hotel is in Waikiki but away from the hustle and bustle so is very relaxing. We frequent 100 sails which is their main dining attraction and it never disappoints. Although the buffet is popular we actually absolutely recommend the Ala carte menu days. We as a couple are not people who eat a lot but still want to try different things and the Ala carte day portions are small enough you can share a fair amount of dishes and be satisfied without breaking the bank.

This place is a modern, sunny gem on the far side of Waikiki beach. We had a corner 1- bed room (attached living area) suite on the 26th floor with stunning views of Western side of Oa'hu (facing Ala Moana Beach).
The room was expansive for a couple and we can imagine brining our 2 kids along next time.
Daily turndown service and Japanese-style Bidets were welcome touch (Note to mainland hotels -- It's 2025 and these are a must-have).
The only complaint I would have is that our AMEX credit for daily breakfast was swapped out with a flat $150 resort credit, which basically covers just 1-2 days of breakfast at 100 Sails (which is a great place BTW). That felt a little bit chintzy. It didn't matter much to us as we typically lunched later in the day and outside. But I'm sure others will find it silly and little bit insulting.
Overall, a great place - and we'll be back

Delicious seafood and prime rib buffet
Excellent menu selection and quality of food. Our waiter, Peter, was very good and friendly. Always enjoy the dining experience. We come from the mainland and always make it a point to do the 100 Sails buffet as a special treat.
Up charges and fees everywhere. Slow service. Money-hungry management?
It is a nice hotel but on the outskirts of Waikiki and fronted by a parking lot, demolition, and a boat harbor with stagnant water. I did not like feeling nickeled and dimed at the pool. Pressured to pay for a cabana when there was no seating at the pool....

Our housekeeper Marilyn was amazing. We have been to hotels where they barely kept enough supplies but Marilyn kept the room looking like new and well supplied every time we came back. She is definitely one of the best housekeepers we have ever had.
We would definitely recommend that people stay at this hotel.

This could be the best luxury resort value in Waikiki, especially for Kamaaina.
Location is superb because you are between Waikiki and Ala Moana, yet in a quiet area.
All rooms have a view of the ocean and Ala Wai harbor. You get to watch boats, airplanes, parasailers.
Easy to walk to Ala Moana or Kalakaua/Waikiki.
Rooms are modern, extremely well kept, generously sized. We like the large windows which open to let-in ocean air. The only slight negative is no lanai/balcony. The entire resort is spotless clean.
Hotel staff has a great attitude.
The pool is magnificent... 2 salt water pools and a hot tub. Infinity pool overlooking the harbor is a favorite for most. Pool bar/restaurant prices are fair.
Katsumidori is a great choice, downstairs, for sushi.
Prince Waikiki is a great choice for a luxury hotel, close enough to Waikiki and Ala Moana, but quieter than hotels on the Kalakaua strip.

Check-In: Smooth! Check-in online and add your cc and then when you arrive just show your ID and get your key.
Location: It's directly adjacent to the marina and also the beach, but there is no beach access from the hotel it's a 5 minute walk. There are restaurants in walking distance (3-5 minutes) and convenience stores as well. There's a mall that's a 10 minute walk too with luxury and non luxury stores (+ a grocery store called Foodland and Target too). I would say map out your itinerary with excursions to determine if this is the best location, but for us it was because most of what we wanted to do was within a 10 minute walk or drive.
Driving or Parking: The daily rate of the car + the daily rate at the hotel to park the car exceeded what it would cost to get around in Ubers, so that's what we did. Ubers always came in 5 minutes or less and that's how we got around the island.
The Rooms: Get a corner room for more space. Everything was super clean and nothing looked dated. I loved the marina view (the best sunsets and sunrises). They do have a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave, so keep that in mind for leftovers. The shower water pressure was solid and the tub is always good for rinsing out bathing suits etc. *My only recommendation to them would be to find a way to add a water station and ice machine on every floor. I always had to trek to another floor to get water/ice.
Food: The sushi restaurant is the best place to eat & dinner buffet with crab legs, outside of that...it's rinse and repeat? The tater tots at breakfast are the same you get by the pool except it has sauce on it and seaweed flakes. The room service menu is the same thing you could get from the breakfast buffet upstairs. The mini acai bowl by the pool is a mini version of the one you can buy at the coffee shop. The lunch menu at the pool has overlapping items with what you get with room service dinner lol. I say this to say be ready for familiar flavor profiles and food. Is the food good? Some dishes are and some need a bit more seasoning, however nothing was cooked improperly. There is huge room for elevation of the menus so each guest experiences something totally difference at each place. Until they do this enjoy the islands restaurants there are good ones you can walk to or drive to in under 10 minutes AND Uber Eats does work too, so order away.
Property (Gym, Spa, and Convenience Store): The gym and the spa are super small. Our room was dang near the size of the gym lol and it was packed when we went in the morning. I'd get rid of the spa on the fifth floor and expand the size of the gym and then remove some rooms on one of the higher floors and make a proper spa (this could help generate revenue outside of those just staying at the hotel). The view would be chefs kiss and would ELEVATE prince waikiki. The convenience store was super clutch all types of snacks, medicines, etc. I just wish it was open 24/7 considering room service is not 24/7 and neither are the property restaurants.
Work Areas: This is a great hotel to work from (I loved the outdoor areas by the pool) BUT charging for those pods on the 1st floor to work in is nasty work LOL. I say this because the business center is not enclosed on the 2nd floor and you can hear noise from the main check-in area/lobby, so it's basically saying we have a business center that's noisy, but for privacy you must pay. A 5 star hotel should provide complementary business working areas that are quiet.
The Pool: A favorite area and a solid view with cabanas and plenty of seating options. You can 100% have a great pool day here. *The music is calm, not "nightclubish" music, because there are kids at this hotel too. They do have live music by the pool some nights if that's your vibe.
I'd say give this place a stay because of location, cleanliness, and the staff too!
