Recommend! For adult couples with healthy mobility. Really enjoyed the experience - especially our room and the view!! The staff too. Right next to some beautiful beaches Cool Point Beach (amazing fruit smoothie bar) Sugar beach, small nice for reading days (they’ve 3 pools here at different physical tiers of the resort (it’s hilly) We got a car for $400 for the week and it’s def worth it. To pop into Red Hook and other exploring.

Great condos, some right on the water and some up on the mountain. We were 2 hours late arriving and I was nervous about check in since we didn’t receive much in the way of instructions but the guard shack had all our check in info and a staff member escorted us to our condo. Nothing fancy and was in a windy bay but a few great restaurants onsite and Coki Beach is a fairly easy walk for the able bodied traveler. About 10 minutes by car to Red Hook which has everything you need.

Our first trip here was March 2024 and we had an enjoyable time so my husband booked another trip for July 2024 (now). We are currently sitting outside in the dark at 11:00 PM for the second night in a row. We arrived Sunday. The power AND water have gone out for SIGNIFICANT amounts of time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All properties around us have power. We were out this evening and made a point to see if other business and homes had power as we drove back. THEY DO. There is no one available to speak to. This is completely unacceptable. People are sitting out in the parking areas with their cars running so they can cool off and charge phones. We will NEVER stay here again. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. It is extremely dark and does not feel safe. This is absolutely not the experience we paid for.

We actually loved everything about our stay. The condo F5 was gorgeous, with beautiful views! The room was up to date and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and we felt at home. I personally worried about safety. At no point did we ever feel unsafe on property! We ate at the little resturant on the water. Had a amazing meal, twice. Highly recommend it. I do wish it had more if a beach. With this being said, the beach area was super cool and quiet. Really cool views and tons of sea creatures. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the location in general. It wasn't to far from red hook, which we preferred to stay away from. What we learned is that Charlotte amalie was just cleaner.

This was a birthday getaway. The property, room, and view was nice. I was extremely disappointed when I had to spend my birthday and the last day there in the dark. During the rain there was no lights, no hot water, and hot air. I spend 5 hours in the car to charge my phone and get air conditioner. The Resort was not helpful and gave a generic answer blaming it on the power company. There was no back-up generators, no alternative sheltering, and no compensation. Better preparation for this occurrence should be made by this Resort when guests are spending their money for a vacation. Next time I'll go to Margaritaville they had generators.

Point Pleasant has long been our go-to resort on our visits to St. Thomas. The location on Smith Bay on the north shore of the East End is perfect: less than a half-hour to the airport and Charlotte Amalie (about a $25 dollar per person cab ride), under 10 minutes to Red Hook, its stores, restaurants and ferry to St. John. If you’re looking to take a day sail (which I highly recommend), plenty of charters are available from the nearby Sapphire marina and Yacht Harbor at Red Hook. Point Pleasant’s condos (studios, one bedrooms and a few two bedrooms) are spread up and down a 15 acre hillside with lush vegetation, and the resort offers free shuttle service within the resort (cabs pick you up at the registration building). Most recently, we stayed at unit B-9, a one-bedroom with a king bed, a pullout couch, cable TV with a DVD player, one bath with tub and shower, air conditioning, ceiling fans, an eating area and fully equipped kitchen. Window treatments shut out the morning light (the unit faces east) if you want to sleep late. There are two chaises and a table with chairs on the comfortable terrace, which offers sensational views of Smith Bay and the surrounding islands, all the way to St John and the BVI. From B-9, it’s a short walk to the lower pool, beach bar and plenty of parking. You have to walk up a short staircase (10-11 steps) to get to the unit, but it’s worth it for the privacy and view. As for beaches, Point Pleasant has a small, rocky beach down a long set of steps that’s good for a quick splash. But Coki Beach (renowned for its snorkeling, fresh mango daiquiris and the Coral World tourist attraction) is right across the bay, a short walk if you cut through Margaritaville. Lindquist ($7 per person entry fee, but worth it for the beauty and lack of crowds) and Sapphire Beach (free parking and admission, with a big beach bar, refreshments and good snorkeling) are both minutes away by car. And the magnificent Magens Bay is under 20 minutes away on a road with tremendous views that winds along the mountain. There are two eating establishments on site. The Sun and Sea Bar & Grill is located right on the bay below one of Point Pleasant’s three swimming pools and serves very reasonable ($9-$10) tropical cocktails and a good beer selection along with wings, tacos, sandwiches, salads and an exceptional half-pound burger. The more formal eatery is Ocean 180, which has a magnificent view (if you get there before dark). On our recent visit (May 2024) we did not eat dinner there; it’s pricey. But we did enjoy the Sunday brunch, which combined good breakfast dishes with reasonable prices and top notch Bloody Marys.

We had a wonderful stay at Point Pleasant! We were here last year and loved it so much we came back again this year. We stayed in B26 (Hammock Hideway). Beautiful villa. The resort has all you need. Very friendly staff. A casual restaurant, Sun and Sea, and a more upscale restaurant, Ocean 180. It's walking distance to Coki Beach and Margaritaville.

Point Pleasant was such an amazing surprise on our last visit. We have been to the islands 4 times and this was our fist time to stay at point pleasant. We rented a unit direct from an owner on Airbnb and this place is for sure our new go to location on future trips. One of the few resorts that has a GYM, 3 pools, great access to the most popular hot spots on the island, great security, etc.

It's an Eco Resort. You will find some geckos, chickens and beautiful birds roaming around the resort. It's a steep drive up that makes it worth every penny and energy spent to get there. The views are breathtaking, facing St. John and the British Virgin Islands. Awesome Sunrises and Moon Risings. Great Food on premises with 2 restaurants (one fine dinning and one more casual by the water). Friendly and very helpful staff. By far, my favorite spot on the Island.

B28 is possibly the most hospitable unit on the property. Bob and Cindy have loaded it with amenities such as coffee, tea, and most kitchen staples (non-refrigerated). They even have a welcome bar so you can have a beverage before you make it to the store. The kitchen has all the utensils dinnerware, and pots/pans you’ll need as well as flashlights, candles, and batteries in case of a power failure. The balcony has very comfortable chairs and a nice dining table for outdoor use so you can enjoy the beautiful view. Snorkels, masks, fins, and noodles are kept in a bin on the balcony. A cooler is also in the bedroom closet. Point Pleasant isn’t for the unfit, however, because every trip involves steps and hills through forested paths. But these paths lead to three pools, an exercise room and an amazingly good gourmet restaurant along with a more casual one at the water’s edge (where you watch the tarpon swim as you eat). Not to worry if you’re not that fit, because there’s a shuttle ready to take you to any destination in the resort. Beautiful Coki beach, Margaritaville, and Coral World are all within easy walking distance. A great place to visit for your vacation, but bring cash (or your ATM card), as the greenback is the only form of payment for many purchases. Enjoy!

Our condo was clean and updated bed comfortable with good A/C. Views are amazing as to why would stay there. The private beach really far from our condo and no chairs we heard pools nice but not heated. We went to beaches in the area.The staff were amazing. Down side had to call the front desk for taxis sometimes quick other times never showed up for early morning pick up. Tip lobby has coffee every morning. The bugs are brutal bring bug spray with deet. We would choose a resort on a beach next that is just us so we didn’t have to drive or taxi every day. We went to downstairs bar great food and staff.

Stayed in unit D31. The room and the views (see photo below) were fantastic. The room was exactly as advertised on the Point Pleasant web site. The resort has 2 restaurants; we only went to the Sun and Sea once for dinner. There's a very small but acceptable beach on-premise that's good for swimming and some snorkeling. Definitely take advantage of the free shuttle service from the lower part of the resort to the upper part unless you enjoy climbing hills and stairs. The resort is conveniently-close to Red Hook for restaurants and ferries to St. John, but you're a bit removed from Charlotte Amalie, not that anything is really more than 20-30 minutes away on the island. Some reviewers have noted that the noise from Coki beach across the water can be annoying, and this is true to a limited extent. Most nights the music blares from about 6-9 p.m., but isn't that noticeable from inside the unit. The music only got obnoxious on a Sunday night, when it continued well after 11 p.m. My only real complaint was the check-in process. You can't check-in until 4 p.m., and the office closes at 6 p.m. Our unit wasn't ready when we arrived, and we weren't able to check-in until after 5 p.m. We wanted to explore the property while we waited, but were reminded that the office closed at 6, so we were stuck waiting.

I'm going to be as fair as possible. This was my first time going to St. Thomas. When I was looking at places to stay on my trip to St. Thomas, I came upon Point Pleasant. It was reasonably priced and appeared to have amazing views from the villas. All that was 100% accurate! I stayed in a studio villa that had amazing views. The room was equivalent to staying at a 2–3-star hotel in the states with water views. If I was to go back to St. Thomas, I probably would stay somewhere else that is more money. The Westin is probably in the best location. The Marriot is literally down the road from Point Pleasant. If I were to stay here, I would get a one-bedroom villa. It's has about triple the space of a studio. One more thing I liked; the rooms here are 75% windows with curtains to give you privacy. Get in shape before going here because getting around the complex on foot is treacherous. It like you are mountain climbing. You have been warned. They are two restaurants on the complex. It's food, nothing special but trust me you will be thankful they are there. You are close to beaches but not really food places.

After reading a variety of mixed reviews here on TripAdvisor, I come down strongly on the “great!” side! My partner and I stayed five nights in unit L4 and loved it. My understanding is each unit is different depending on how its individual owner has updated it (or not). (I hope I’m right on that). Anyway, L4 is updated, clean, and actually bigger than I thought it would be from the pictures and description. The shower was warm, the air conditioning cool, and the bed comfortable. Note: L4 is a full size bed, not queen. Point Pleasant provided us with fresh towels delivered whenever we called the front desk. I don’t remember his name but the young man with glasses at the front desk was very helpful and friendly for our check-in and check-out. The power did go out one morning for a few hours, but with the windows open the temperature inside was fine. (My understanding is power is an island-wide issue). L4 stays shaded through most of the day. The location of Point Pleasant was a huge plus for us. We frequented Coki Beach and Margaritaville and went on a snorkeling excursion with the New Horizon “Snorkel Cat” Catamaran, which leaves from the Margaritaville dock. All short and easy walks! Never had an issue with getting a taxi when we did leave the resort. Did not try the upscale restaurant on property, but LOVED the Sun and Sea Bar and Grill. We were planning to eat there only one time but ended up going three nights in a row. We wished we had brought more cash with us (did not correctly anticipate taxi cash), but Point Pleasant has an ATM in the reception area. We were very sad to leave and hope to be back again one day!

From the moment we arrived we felt So welcomed staff was excellent! The property is keep up beautiful. We rented a AirB&B which was beautiful views amazing! Would definitely stay again it was our 1st time to the island. Shout out to Willie for all the rides & being so helpful! Also Stephan @ the Bar he make it FUN we watched the super-bowl and closed the bar with all the great cocktails & laughs ! Definitely will be back .
