After worrying we’d booked the wrong hotel, turned out to be a great holiday! Not without some issues, the humidity & mould smell in the room was overwhelming but we were moved to a room in a block of our choice & given a cabana for the day to compensate. Huge shout out to Itai from guest services who really did go above & beyond to help & ensure we were happy. Sorted the room, a dehumidifier and arranged a birthday surprise for me. No, there’s not enough sun-beds but really, who cares.. you’re on holiday and spend most of the time in the pool/beach anyway. It would be good to have it monitored in some way as is annoying to get up save a bed, go for breakfast, only for your stuff to be moved/taken. Wasn’t happy about my towel pegs being taken but they were £2 from home bargains so won’t lose any sleep over it.. We were in the Adult Scene, not star class but honestly don’t think it made a difference. We didn’t really have any issues booking restaurants, couple of times no availability but didn’t let that bother us too much, though will say Buffet was a bit hit & miss, quite repetitive but that’s more of a personal thing, my husband eats anything he didn’t complain. Braza breakfast was great, Catch good for both lunch & dinner. Sunset strip really lovely, Gusto preferred lunch but not keen on Guy’s burgers. Definitely our favourite was Teppanyaki great food & vibe.

We went as a couple to the family side for seven days. We had a great time. The resort is very clean, and the beds are super comfortable (I was in building 25). Room was clean, bed very comfortable and Big, the house lady was Always very concidering of our needs. The only issue was the humidity in the room—it was so damp that the sheets and floor felt wet. We requested a dehumidifier twice, but unfortunately, we never received one. They were probably all taken, and the adult section likely gets priority since they pay more.The Star Class section seems to offer more options and restaurants. The food was very good, even at the buffet. At the buffet, Felipe is a very gentlemanly waiter who provides excellent service at all times. The small café serves great coffee and pastries. However, there aren't enough employees, so it can take a long time. I’m not someone who is in a rush, but sometimes the wait can be up to 30 minutes. This is due to the specialty coffee spot, and with over 2,000 people on the resort, it can get quite busy. The ice creme is very good. Our favorite restaurant was the Steakhouse with NEO, who provided excellent service. Next, we enjoyed the sushi place, the Japanese, Italian, and Mexican restaurants. Our least favorite was the Indian restaurant—it had limited options and was too spicy for our taste. We were able to get 6 days on 7 for restaurant, but took us 2 days to understand the concept. I suggest to have a bit more information on it and also that you can reserve for the special buffet outside that we figred out 5 days after :) We are more into the beach, and we were well taken care of by employees, chairs are always availible, It was always clean, except when some people left their trash, the staff was quick to clean up after lazy guests. On the poolside, there was a real lack of chairs—they were all taken by 6 AM! Yet, there was a large empty sandy area where they could have placed hundreds of extra chairs. It truly felt like wasted space. LOve the chaires in the pool. Great Area when you are willing to not be in a chair alla day long The only downside of the place was that it coincided with American Spring Break. There were a lot of young people, around a hundred 19-year-olds, who seemed to have never consumed alcohol before and were partying non-stop. Access to the bar and certain amenities was difficult because they took over everything without considering others.It was a bit irritating. On the adult side, there were no issues. I just think they could have realized they weren’t the only ones on the resort. Overall, I still loved my stay. If I were to do it again, I would choose the Star Class side.

Just got back from a five night stay with another couple. Had a wonderful time! Resort was so clean, rooms were perfect. We had ocean front view. Not humid, although our butlers did bring dehumidifier-even though we didn’t request one. Highly recommend spending extra money on Star Class. The extra special treatment is well worth the cost. Food was good in restaurants. Breakfast buffet was good- your typical all inclusive breakfast. Dinner buffet- not our fav. Guys burgers, pizza and Star Class bar food were great! Adult pool was always fun! Lots of activities. Already planning return in November with kids!

I absolutely love the hotel. All of the staff are really helpful and friendly. The gym is exceptionally well equipped. Definitely the best hotel gym I've been to as it literally has everything you need and the equipment is very well maintained. Arleth is always smiling and helpful. Myself and my wife have really enjoyed the shows and the food at the restaurants. There is so much to do here for both adults and children so you can't possibly not enjoy yourself and be entertained throughout your stay. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling to Cancun.

Food was excellent/top notch! Lot's of restaurants and easy to book thru the app. The service in the a la carte was great but very slow in the buffet> Drinks - house wine was great. Other options were good but not a lot of premium alcohol options unless you paid extra to be in the "Star" class room. Room - pretty spacious but nothing special considering this is 5 star and we were in the Adult Scene area. Pillows could have been better and a bath tub in the bathroom. The resort looks a bit worn out considering its fairly new. Grounds - clean and well laid out but not a lot of security patrolling especially at night. Adult Scene - the minimum age should be 25. There were so many 18-20 yrs old on spring break partying until 3 am, being loud and obnoxious at the pool. It seem the hotel really advertised the resort to this crowd which I was not aware at time of booking. Beach - very nice, but it needs to be cleaned up and raked more. Additional chairs and umbrellas are also needed. There should also be a food option right on the beach and more waiters. Pools - all pools on both family and adult side were packed! It was impossible to find a chair or shade even though there is plenty of space for more. It seems the resort wanted people to rent the cabanas or bali beds at 300 and 150 US respectively. That is way to much when we already paid 5,000 for two people. The bali beds at least should be free and some patrolling by hotel staff to ensure people aren't leaving their towels for the entire day and not using the beds/chairs. Entertainment - hit and miss but we don't care too much about it. Resort credits - these were really coupons to get you to spend more money. False advertisement in my opinion. Overall the resort was nice but not staffed for spring break. Also the resort should disclose on their website that they accept spring break groups as this is determining factors for some, like us. We are in our 40s and there many that age or older who did not enjoy their stay as much or could not sleep.

We stayed at Planet Hollywood Cancun from March 14-21 in the adult scene star class. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The a la cart restaurants catered to our food allergies. Our personal assistants Suzy and Molly were fantastic at making sure our holiday was amazing.
