After years of travelling without my dogs I finally found a spot where the pets are welcomed too. When I arrived at the Pink Flamingo I found it to be exactly as shown in the photos - the large pool and pet friendly villa. The villa is fitted out with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s flamboyant, comfortable and private. The dog even got so comfortable on the second day that she started barking at other guests and their dogs like she owned the place. We did notice some maintenance issues and the need for a refresh in some areas however it represents value for money accommodation. It’s appropriately priced for the condition.

Lovely little resort, and they don't miss any of the small things. The bed was comfy, many pillows too ...and lots of private space within and outside the room, including a shared outside bathtub with bath salts provided! Free pool table, books, a pool and snacks that run on an...

Lovely little resort, and they don't miss any of the small things. The bed was comfy, many pillows too ...and lots of private space within and outside the room, including a shared outside bathtub with bath salts provided! Free pool table, books, a pool and snacks that run on an honour system. Close enough to the centre to walk in 15 mins :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. First of all, Port Douglas is a great place to stay away from the busier Cairns, with easy access to the Great Barrier Reef tour companies and a short drive to the Daintree Rainforest area. We loved the location of the Pink Flamingo in the quiet neighborhood of town, yet within a reasonable walk or 5 minute drive from the downtown shopping area and restaurants. We stayed in one of the garden villas with a comfortable king bed and adequately equipped kitchen. The private patio, surrounded by trees, provided a great place to stargaze at night and listen to the multitude of birds in the morning. The grounds are kind of a jungle landscaping and the bright color scheme of the unit was fun.

We spent 2 nights here. It’s querky but fun. It’s super private as there are only 10 rooms. We usually had the pool to ourselves. But the room is missing a few things like No trash can for the kitchen. Cabinets in the kitchen don’t have a toe space at...

We spent 2 nights here. It’s querky but fun. It’s super private as there are only 10 rooms. We usually had the pool to ourselves. But the room is missing a few things like No trash can for the kitchen. Cabinets in the kitchen don’t have a toe space at the floor so I was constantly stubbing my toe. No power plugs near the bed and poor reading lights near the bed. There was only a poorly lit sign out front so we had trouble finding the place at night. The most irksome issue is the long slog from parking to the rooms on a gravel footpath means you carry all luggage as the gravel won’t let wheels past. So pack lightly and you’ll have a great time.

The huge bed and pillows are great. Loved the outdoor bath and they provide candles and mosquito coils! If you cook a lot you may need to ask for a few more utensils and pots etc. We used the BBQ, microwave and cook top. Needs a few more glass bowls...

Needs a few more glass bowls for microwave and different size pots if you make spaghetti etc. i am sure they would have them if you ask. Loved the privacy. It was a bit cool and rainy when we stayed so didn’t really get to use the pool but it looked nice! Laundry and clothes line very useful and having a drying rack and under cover area was great as it rained a lot. But they also had driers to use if you need them. Good value. We had a car so drove everywhere but it was about a 20 min walk to town. Nice and quiet!

Such a lovely place to relax and enjoy an adult's only resort. Been coming here once every year and has never disappointed me. Plus the main reason I love PF is because I can bring my dogs with me too

Another cracking stay at our favourite place in Port Douglas….cheers guys! Close to town without being too close, great comfy villas. Pool area great to chill out at along with great outdoor bar/bbq area. Best bang for buck place in town for sure.

Perfect location, well maintained, clean comfortable accommodation, would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet no kids getaway. Pool was perfect after a day out and about, great BBQ area. Location was great good distance from the hub.

Absolutely fantastic property set in the heart of Port Douglas. Colourful, vibrant and friendly, this accommodation boasts a stunning pool, games area and boutique villas. Not only that, it is pet friendly! Before arriving at the property, I let them know it was my partners birthday. They provided balloons and banners in our room which was amazing! Arrived in PD via shuttle from Cairns to the wonderfully relaxing Pink Flamingo Resort. Us southern city folk had to quickly learn to slow our pace down to acclimatise to FNQ weather and life ;-) Sam, Fiona, Richard and Joe were lovely hosts, who happily fulfilled our few requests. Whilst the resort may be a teeny bit tired compared to its heyday of the the early 2000s it is still an incredibly beautiful and tranquil place that I would heartily recommend and would easily return to. The pool is perfection, the bar and bbq area excellent and the small little touches throughout are a delight. The rooms with their outdoor shower/bath are amazingly private and the gardens are stunning. The ability to borrow the resort bikes to ride (or to walk) into town and to 4 mile beach makes the location perfect. You could also use the shuttle buses but we didn't find the need to over our visit. If you hire a car as we did for a couple of days, a trip out to Mossman and the Daintree is within easy reach and well worth it. Loved our visit to PD and hope to possibly make the Pink Flamingo an annual birthday trip! ;-)

From the time we arrived we were welcomed with our furry friend. The accommodations were fantastic, everything you could ask for. Dog bowls, blankets, bug spray, candles, outdoor bath/shower. The pool area was awesome for a drink or dip. The bar had an honour system for drinks, all at very prices. You can walk to the marina and the CBD from here. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Plus, Marley the dog will keep an eye on you. Great place for getaway in Port Douglas.

We have been here for 6 nights. We leave tomorrow. We absolutely loved it here. Our cat, Harold, loved exploring in the private courtyard. The villa has everything you need. The pool area is amazing. We were only meant to be here 4 nights but extended by 2 nights because...
