very good hotel, very comfy beds and clean room, spotless, helpful and welcoming staff, good breakfast, pleasant check in and out experience, the downside is the high rate but sometimes is worthy when you look to other hotels (check my reviews), the beach is not usable.

We have had a fantastic stay for a week. We have been surrounded by happy, helpful, service-minded and smiling employees. Most evenings we have eaten at Perlangi grill where we have had super good food and absolutely fantastic service and would love to come back. We were especially well served by Linda, whom we got to know as a very service-minded employee. In addition to her work, she came up with good ideas for what we should experience while we were here. Thank you very much for that.

Loved our week here. The resort is excellent, perfectly located and has all the facilities we needed. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food in both restaurants good. We spent most days at the Cascade pool and we enjoyed the pool bar and restaurant. Azri and his team made our holiday, nothing too much trouble with friendly and efficient service. We spent most nights eating out trying several excellent local restaurants.

We spent five fabulous nights at the Palangi Beach resort and spa. Everything was perfect could not fault a thing . There are two enormous pools that are amazing and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. All of the staff could not have been more helpful, friendly, efficient and courteous. A special mention to Shidi the Outlets Manager and all of his staff working who had everything running smoothly, top notch service all round. Also a mention to Abu, Linda, Naly, Yousaf and Tirah the tour organiser. Everyone who made our stay so enjoyable whose name are too many to recall, thank you again. Would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting Langkawi

Fantastic resort and great staff. Please ignore the bad reviews of the restaurants as we ate in the resort every day and never had a bad meal. The main pool is huge and has a lot of sunbeds around it, also had a pool cafe which serves snacks, soft drink and alcoholic drinks from 11am until 6pm. The rooms are a nice size with a nice bathroom with bath, shower and all the amenities Only slight problem was one day we wasn’t left any toilet paper and the next no clean towels, so had to chase these up, but after that we had no problems

A fabulous resort in a very good location with multiple restaurants and shops catering for all tastes. We had an island view roon (1701) and when our daughter and husband from Australia joined us for 6 nights they had a room direcly behind us (1802) which was very convernient for them to join us on our veranda for pre-dinner drinks. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfasts were good, as was the egg station. We dined 3 times at the Pelangi grill (twice being buffets) which had very good choise but, like most buffets, the food tended to be warm at best. For the other 11 nights we dined outside. Our favourite restaurant was The Cliff Beach restaurant which we also visited 3 times and highly recommend. The locatioon is good for all attractions, which are no more than 45 minutes away.

Good hotel, right on an amazing beach. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with a good sized bathroom and a powerful shower. On arrival I thought the balcony was small, but the very comfy chairs made up for this. Staff were friendly and helpful if approached, but as with all (most?) big hotels service was a little impersonal. Sunbeds were great, plentiful and very comfy. We found the food to be good, although breakfast time was slightly chaotic with no one in overall charge which meant on busy days tables weren’t cleared and staff struggled to replenish dwindling items. On the whole we liked the hotel, have very little to complain about but it just somehow missed the wow factor

The spa looks good but seems to be underused , it’s expensive perhaps lower the prices and it may be used . Food good quality , but little choice in the Pelangi grill . It would be good to have a more general Buffett .

We stayed here from 9th to 13th April 2025 We were in room 2501 which is directly opposite the cascade pool The good: Room very spacious and AC very welcomed Pool is large and warm with plenty of sunbeds Resort very clean and tidy Staff friendly and helpful Location is very good You must get a taxi to 'hidden' bar for an evening meal as the fireshow is very good and its free! Hotel is on the beach and the sea is lovely and warm A few restaurants on site which offer something for every taste Get a taxi to the skycabs too and go and see the mountains A fabulous day out Some evening entertainment Play pool for the children We paid to have the 'romantic dinner for two' on the beach This is a must for a couple Beautiful five course dinner with wine Truly delicious and you feel like royalty Staff speak good english The not so good: Breakfast lacks variety and most of the 'hot' food is cold and stale (eggs, pancakes, pastries etc)

We have been visiting Langkawi since 2008. We love the warm welcome, the hospitality and of course the food and weather! We have stayed at Pelangi now 3 times. This visit has been for 19 nights, it always feels like a second home. I love how each time we return, there have been constant improvements, upgrades and maintenance to the buildings and the grounds. Pelangi is situated in a fabulous spot within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, water sports, and some bars. The staff are always smiling and are always very helpful. We have joined The Club which provides a quiet relaxing space to work, read, play cards or just enjoy a quiet drink and some food. Plans are already being made for a return journey next year. So until then, I will continue to enjoy the rest of our time, and can’t wait to return in 2026.

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa. We had been a bit nervous before ariving as the weather forecast showed it as raining and thunder every day but although we had a little bit of rain and some thunder it didn't really affect our stay. The hotel even had umbrellas in the room just in case! We booked this directly with the hotel and this gives you a raft of benefits such as free ice cream every day and a daily allowance to spend against food, drinks or the spa. In addition we booked a Club room and this gave us discounts on food and beverage and the Spa as well as access to the lovely, peaceful Club Lounge. Booking directly was so easy and the staff were quick to respond to our queries and get our booking confirmed. The hotel is on the edge of the town and it is an easy walk along the beach or road to all the shops and restaurants. For those that love water sports there seemed to be a good choice of providers along the beach. The hotel feels very spacious as the rooms are all in Malaysian wooden blocks of either single or double storeys and these are laid out across the site. We opted for one overlooking the beach and sea and it was lovely sitting on our balcony listening to the bird and the sea and watching the world go by. It was also great that there wasn't a 6 am swarm of guests putting towels on beds and even at 10.30am there were still plenty of options to choose from as to where you wanted to sit. There were two pools, one of which had a swim up bar and the other was close to the restaurants and had an area for children as well. We loved the relative quiet as, unlike in the Caribbean, there weren't daily pool aerobics and blasting music. They did have yoga on the beach a couple of days a week at 8am though if you want some gentle exercise and I saw several people going for an early morning work out in the gym. Breakfast was available in two restaurants, one for Western and one for Asian breakfast although a selection of both options were available in each. It was also available in the Club Lounge but this was a smaller selection. We were impressed with the choice of food on the menu and I think most people would find several things they liked as you could have Malaysian, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Western. We had a lovely aromatherapy massage in the Spa. The pressure was a bit too firm for me to start with but the therapist eased up when I asked her to and we both found it very relaxing. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and whenever you pass they smile and say hello. For us the icing on the cake was access to the small Club Lounge where canapes, biscuits, tea, coffee and soft drinks were available during the day and cocktails and canapes from 5-7pm. We were given such a warm welcome by Nor Burton who is the Guest Experience Manager and the two gentlemen who worked in there. Having been to the Caribbean recently and having a Club Room there it showed the vast difference between the offerings. Nor and her team could not have done more for us, making sure we had everything we needed and spending time chatting to us about Langkawi, Malaysian customs, things to do and see etc. We really enjoyed our time chatting to them all. We loved this hotel so much that we already have plans to return next year and have decided to have an extended stay as we really didn't want to go home this time. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a little piece of paradise.
