This was our first time in Malaysia and it will not be our last. What an amazing hotel this is. Check in was easy and the seaview room was stunning.What makes this hotel so special are the amazing staff who go out of their way to be friendly and helpful....

This was our first time in Malaysia and it will not be our last. What an amazing hotel this is. Check in was easy and the seaview room was stunning.What makes this hotel so special are the amazing staff who go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The gardens are just stunning with visits daily from the Monitor lizards and the monkeys who were so funny.We spent many evenings at the sunset bar and made lots of friends. Most people we spoke to had been many times so it must be good. We will definately return again next year. Thank you Parkroyal for making our stay so special.

And what's really amazing is that my girlfriend really blocked the bus as you said! The Grab driver drove at a Ferrari-like speed, and got on thanks to praying to God and blocking the bus! Thank you so much for making the biggest memories of our Penang trip The two days spent in a beautiful and comfortable accommodation with such kind staff were fantastic. Let's meet again next time!

We actually did not stay at the hotel but took the daypasses on offer to use the pool,beach and restaurants/bars . It was really good value and meals/drinks etc. were great. Staff very friendly too.. Pity about the jellyfish at the beach but the pools were great and clean.

My wife and I had a fabulous time at the Resort. We had a seamless check-in process. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with towel decorations made of 2 beautiful heart-shaped swans and chocolate pralines. Our room was clean, and the facilities and features worked well. Best of all, we were assigned a room that was right in the middle with the best view. The food is good, and there are many eateries and places to shop just a short distance from the Resort. St. Gregory Spa is a place to be. 2 hours sessions rejuvenate all the senses. My wife enjoyed her session immensely. Special mention to these warm, friendly, and helpful staff: Executive Chef Aidiyusman, Chef-De-Cuisine Kephorn, St. Gregory's Hana and Letchumi, Front Offices' Halikuz, Faizal, Osman, Ryzal, Selina, Rafli, Yusman, Shah, Dindayal and Room Attendant Afzal. Indeed, we've made so many friends. Thank you ALL. Till we meet again.

Check in was fast and efficient, the room allocated (at the front of the hotel) was clean and tidy and the bed was huge ! All in all very pleased with the room and housekeeping in general. The first impressions of this hotel was very positive, with beautiful well kept gardens,bars,small swimming pool and a restaurant that opened up to the gardens. The bar and restaurant area were well kept but the chairs and soft furnishings could do with a deep clean there were food stains etc on them). Service in the downstairs bar area has to improve with inconsistent wait times for food and drink. There was direct beech access from the gardens. The restaurant that we ate in was also the restaurant that we had breakfast in. The breakfast itself was very good, virtually all tastes were catered for and dishes were being brought out regularly. The gym facility was really well set up and overall there were enough machines to keep most people busy. Great steam room & jacuzzi. The one fly in the ointment was when a Manger reprimanded a worker for not saying a generic reply to customers that she was serving. This is unacceptable, if a worker requires guidance then they should be taken to one side and advised, not reprimanded in public. Very poor.

I nice resort on the beach front. The room was large, clean and comfortable and overlook some water. The pool area was lovely and relaxing. Plenty of shops and market were in the doorstep of the resort. Service of staff was excellent and the place was extremely clean. The buffet breakfast lacked western options. My only complaint was the amount of money they hold on your credit card upon check in despite paying for the room upfront. They held around 1000 bhat, and this we were told could take 2 weeks to release the hold when we checked out.

Parkroyal Penang Resort is a wonderful place to see beautiful sunset in Penang. Javana Lounge at Parkroyal Penang Resort is a nice place to have afternoon tea, leisure environment, tasty food and good tea. We would like to express our thanks to Nesya and Katrin for your warm reception!

Having done extensive research before deciding on this hotel I am happy that I made the right choice! I think it has the best location in Batu Ferringhi being very central. The room was fabulous and spacious with ample storage room. The bathroom was large with the only minor negative being the small step in which led to a stumble each time it was forgotten about! Breakfast could be somewhat chaotic but easy enough once you had been allocated a table. The food choice was excellent although some items could have been warmer. I will never get over the novelty of being able to have beef curry for breakfast. Staff throughout the hotel were all very welcoming and warm. The pool area was naturally very busy but it wasn’t too challenging to find a sun bed or two elsewhere within the grounds. Would highly recommend this hotel.

First time staying at a Parkroyal hotel and it exceeded our expectations. Excellent beach hotel on a lovely stretch of Batu Ferringhi beach. Lovely sea view room and spotless clean hotel. Special thanks to exec chef Aidiyusman for taking care of my dietary needs and thanks also to Salmi.

We stayed at the ParkRoyal for three weeks and had a brilliant relaxing time. The staff are amazing with a special shout out for AfZal who looked after our room and surprised us daily with his towel creations and flower arrangements. The room was clean and spacious with a large bed. There, were plenty of sun beds in the gardens and around the pool and there was the occasional visit by the native troop of friendly monkeys:-) The hotel is well situated for the night market and there are many places to find good food nearby. The food in the hotel is good value and breakfast catered for all. Sad to be going home x

The staff are like family and so welcoming. Mutis is amazing and the most helpful person I’ve met but all staff make the stay memorable from the welcoming staff, the cleaning staff and reception, housekeeping and food service and chefs. I have stayed at Park Royal Penang twice now and look forward to going back again soon. The 5th floor room was perfect as were the views. It’s a perfect resort to wind down and plenty of activities for everyone. Can’t recommend highly enough.

This is a delightful hotel. On the plus the rooms are very well appointed, comfortable beds, water supplied regularly. The breakfast was fabulous a huge selection and generally well stocked although on a couple of times things were empty. It's right on the beach and there were plenty of sunbeds....

This is a delightful hotel. On the plus the rooms are very well appointed, comfortable beds, water supplied regularly. The breakfast was fabulous a huge selection and generally well stocked although on a couple of times things were empty. It's right on the beach and there were plenty of sunbeds. Plenty of towels, good room service and we had a great daybed in the room. Room was quiet. Ate at the beach restaurant on the 3 nights and the food was great as was the service. Fab sunsets too. Downside Main lounge area is not air conditioned so it could get humid in there. Using the sink caused the bathroom floor to flood. We were there 3 nights 1st morning it was quite bad and whilst a chap did come the same problem occurred on the 2nd morning. Not sure if anyone came on this occasion (it was reported)! but it still happened. By this point we'd worked out the cause so we limited the how we drained the sink. Not a huge amount to do in the area but if you're a sun worshipper that won't be a problem. The one star down grade was as a result of the leaking drain.

Easy to use Grab to get to and from Georgetown (about £3-4) and Entopia however think twice about going to fruit farm as grab will not take or pick you up so it works out expensive as you need taxi (they cannot get return fares to make it worthwhile. However the farm is interesting. Rooms are clean and well stocked with lots of water (free) by pools and in room.friendly staff and nice cocktails in the bar. However I do have 1 complaint - service in al a carte and Italian. First time they forgot about us and we were left sitting there over half hour before we went and found someone to pay bill. The second time al a carte they brought 1 starter then second starter arrived with main course and then forgot my main course. Waited over half hour from my main to arrive. We did ask for service charges to be removed which they did but we felt stingy asking it should have been offered! In the Italian again they forgot about us even they the place was empty, in the end we had to ask where our drinks were and get up and go to find someone for the bill. No desert menu was even offered. Shame as these 3 episodes were only thing that didn’t go well. There’s plenty of nice local places to eat which we did be sometimes when you have been out all so you don’t want to necessarily go out. Don’t let this put you off as it wouldn’t us. Penang exceeded our expectations as there was something to do everyday and getting about was so easy

We’ve been planning on visiting for so long. My husband and his family lived here when he was small for a few years and he was christened in the Turtle Temple. I misjudged the distance but we weren’t bothered as it meant we got to see a little more of Penang. The hotel was wonderful. The food was great the staff so friendly, the location right on the beach was perfect It was a shame there were so many jelly fish so we couldn’t swim but the pool compensated . Could not fault this hotel

Second visit to this hotel. Staff all welcoming. Rooms cleaned each day to a very high standard. Breakfast has a large selection on offer. Pool area lovely. Lots of choices for dining in restaurants or bar snacks. The staff are a credit to the hotel.

I've stayed at this Hotel many times over the past 26 years, first visit being in 1999. The extensive renovations of these years has kept the hotel very current with the level of service from all the staff remaining constantly outstanding. From the moment you arrive to your departure, you are looked after like you are the only people there. Nothing is too much trouble and staff go the extra mile to ensure your happiness. Their Doorman / Greeter "Shah" was practically professional and always happy to see you. We often had some friendly banter which we both enjoyed. From breakfast to dinner, everything was great. Wonderful facility, fantastic staff, ensuring your stay was memorable for all the right reasons. Stay here, you won't regret it!

Enjoyable overall. The room is rare as it looks better than the pictures. Food was really good overall. Most excellent were staff - everyone helpful with warm smile. Wan, Sunther, Afzal and many others whom I can't remember names. Well worth it

Great hotel, lovely room....very clean....wonderful breakfast....food in general was quite good...if you join their club ,you get a discount on the food...plenty of sun loungers most days...beach is clean, but no netting in place to avoid jellyfish....beware when sitting on grass that there are red ants that bite!!! the only negative is the amount of children/babies at the resort....I understand it is a family resort, but every moment there were crying children.... avoid any weekend or holiday week.... also, there is a beautiful children's pool, so why is the regular pool packed with babies in diapers...there needs to be some adult only measures in place where adults ,can get some quiet time in the pool....I would return, but NEVER again on holiday weeks....just way too many screaming children.....

The check in start good with staff welcome us with a friendly smile and help us with the luggage, but there was some miscommunication with the booking agency and the hotel that made us waited over 60mins to get our room, we booked our deluxe sea facing room 2 months ago with a few requests, one particular was the room location which Agoda and the hotel ( or one of them) made a difficult…… but the real issue is Agoda only informed me bia email only few days before our check in which is absurd considered they have literally two months to inform me , anyway I made a complaint to Agoda with the impression that everything was solved but only to find out I have to pay $300 per night to have a room that fit my request open my check in, but luckily the front desk manager Hema, was very patient and polite through the whole progress of fixing it mess Agoda left us with as I explained to her it is not right to charge us when I was only inform a few days ago that there is an issue to my request and also absolutely no mentioned of my room was needed to pay another $300 per night. We went to wait at the lounge and went out for a bite as it was taking too long, we went back about an hour later , Hema has fix everything and got us a room that fit perfectly to our request with no extra charge, so whoever from Parkroyal Result Paneng is reading this, please do pass our appreciation to Hema and thanks her for the excellent work she’s done and obviously doing. Back to the hotel itself, it is a really lovely place to stay for a vacation, the ocean view was beautiful, especially during sunset, room conditions is a bit aged, especially the bathroom, there are some very obvious mold and aged stains , the shower can really use some touch up, but overall it was comfy, the king bed was big and comfortable, the cleanliness was always done well each day, the lunge offers good cocktails, the cinnamon kitchen done a good job on the buffets, both kitchen and service team, room service was decent, and my wife and I had a very lovely dinner by the beach one evening and it was great. The pool was great , the beach however was so and so, it was clean, but the quality of the water was not, it was grey all the time during our stay, probably why we noticed barelyanyone ever swam in the it. Every stuff there shows excellent hospitality towards us during our stay.

One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning sunset view—absolutely breathtaking. It looked like something straight out of a movie. Watching the sky change colors over the water was a peaceful and unforgettable experience that added so much value to my stay. The breakfast buffet was another pleasant surprise. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but the roti in particular deserves a mention. It was easily one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly soft and warm, with just the right texture. You can tell a lot of care went into the food preparation. From the beautiful views to the exceptional service and delicious food, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing getaway or just passing through, I would definitely recommend staying here. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The location of the hotel is excellent—very close to the beach, which made it convenient and enjoyable. However, I was a bit disappointed with a few aspects of my stay. The breakfast options were quite limited and could definitely be improved to cater to a wider variety of tastes. I had also paid for a birthday room decoration, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. When we returned from dinner, part of the decoration had fallen down and the balloon gas was noticeably low, making the setup feel deflated and underwhelming. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. I even noticed broomgrass left in the room. We also encountered an issue with a security guard when we tried to park. He told us that outsiders are not allowed to park in the hotel area, without first asking whether we were guests. It felt dismissive and unwelcoming. A more polite approach such as asking if we were staying at the hotel would have been much more appropriate.

Very friendly Service at the Passion Garden We had few drinks at the Passion Garden during our stay and had a great fun time with very friendly staff, Sue and Amirul. We throughly enjoyed its Beautiful setting and lovely drinks. Thanks again Sue and Amirul, we enjoyed your company

We have been to this hotel twice before several years ago and wanted to return. We were not disappointed. Lovely staff and lovely location. Special mention for the receptionist Karishma who helped us when our taxi did not arrive to take us to the airport. Also, Dindayal, who offered us his phone so we could call the taxi company. The security guards from Nepal were so friendly and always had a smile for us. Pradeep, who kept our room spotless and was always available. Every day he made an animal from the towels and left it on our bed. He worked so hard and never seemed to have any time off. Our thanks to everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel and the surrounding areas. They were very thoughtful with their advice and organising transport to see the important sites on the island. The pool side bar was special and we can’t say too much how Haiqal and the team around him made the evening so enjoyable. The restaurants and the other food events provide delightful meal options and they gave us a strong memory of the food flavours of Malaysia. It’s a pity that the street food around the hotel is so competitive in this regard as the restaurants were not frequented as much as they should be! The room service was of a high standard as was all the facilities the hotel offered. The only slight slip was over the May 11th holiday weekend when the staff at breakfast allowed queues to develop, but the hotel was very busy!! Would I stay again? - of course I would!

Love Penang and this is the best hotel I would recommend if you are going to stay a night or two in Batu ferringi! Lovely room, nice beach, good buffet breakfast and excellent service all round! Also thank you Rafli for your great hospitality!

Had a great time here to celebrate my birthday. The place is clean and the pool was awesome. We have some issues with our aircon and the team was prompt to address the issue immediately. Shah was extremely helpful and cheerful. His smile brought joy to the place!

Shame there were no sunbeds on the beach but there was probably a good reason for this (it's a public beach) would definitely stay here again.
