Terrific choice. We can't wait to return!

This is a terrific 4 star hotel! Pros: It's super clean and well taken care of! The food is terrific! Everything was fresh and tasty. The baked goods were delicious. While there was a smaller variety everything was truly excellent. May I say the French Toast and Pancakes were NOT dried out like cardboard...a true mark of caring about the food served in my opinion😄 Entertainment was wonderful! The evening live entertainment is truly fun, with outdoor variety shows, and musical talents. Poolside activities are okay, they try. Rooms are quite large, and super clean. Beds were comfy. The best part and real gem of this hotel is the staff!!!! A few standouts: Santos (pool/beach/buffet Rockstar server), Guerremina (beautiful buffet server), Omar (pool bar drink slinger), Andres (beach bar Spanish instructor/cocktail master)! Every single staff we encountered were friendly and kind. Location is perfect with stores, including a pharmacy, are across the road. More about 7 minutes walk away, and the Mercado de Artistans is about a 20 minutes walk. The beach was made for long walks and sunsets. Some cons: DO NOT TAKE A ROOM ON THE "10TH" (1st) FLOOR! You won't sleep! It's the first floor of guest rooms and by building design lobby noise is trapped at that level. Nightly entertainment (live band) is in the lobby and it's so loud the noise is inescapable. This goes to 11pm then the disco starts until the wee hours. The 3 couples we traveled with all received upgraded higher-floor rooms, and we didn't. We rarely slept. BRUTAL! Rooms are very basic and run down, no mini fridge, dingy. But, it's a 50 year old building, afterall. Shower doors are installed backwards so when you get in and out the water sprays into the whole bathroom - trust me on this. And, the hot/cold inconsistency keeps you literally on your toes. Good pressure though. Overall, we loved our stay and plan to return. Thank you to each and every staff member who shared your time with us and our friends - you all make a difference and we are honored by your care!
