It breaks my heart to write this review which is why it's taken me a long time to actually write it because the staff was nothing but sweet and did their best to help (my only reason for giving 2 stars instead of one). But I hate to think others will pay quite a bit for this place without first knowing what to expect. You are definitely paying for the gorgeous view with this hotel. We were given an upgraded room with a balcony but I'd be even more disappointed if we weren't. The pros… *Welcoming and kind staff. They did their best to accommodate. *Gorgeous view *Our room had a patio with peaceful ocean sounds and beautiful sunset views *Easy to get to quaint beach downstairs with staff that were super helpful The not so great parts… *The hotel itself is a bit dated and run down. **The biggest issue was the major black mold in the shower which was quite concerning and unacceptable. They came in and tried to clean it but you can tell it's been there for a really long time. I hated taking a shower, in the tiny space, trying to avoid touching anything. After visiting around and talking to some friends, there are way better places to stay in Amalfi.

Perched on the cliffs, this hotel's location provides absolutely stunning views. We had a lovely birthday dinner in the restaurant, and we enjoyed the beach bar/restaurant, as well. RE: the location. It is a short cab ride or a 20-minute walk to the center of town. Having stayed in the center previously, we found this location quieter and extremely relaxing.

Lovely modern hotel that is probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Great room with balcony overlooking the sea & mt. Vesuvius. Nice breakfast, but it didn’t start until 7:30 & we had two days with an early start. The hotel provided us with a boxed breakfast- just two small muffins, an apple , and juice box.there is a free shuttle into town but you must book in advance. The one evening we tried it the walk to the pick up point was long & down dark streets, then the driver never showed up. Otherwise this was a good choice.

This is long overdue… where do we begin? This was our 6th stay at Parco and we can’t wait to go back this summer. We cannot say enough about our experience each, and every time we go, and that is mostly due to the incredible staff that always makes us feel at home, the moment we walk through the doors. We start by booking our reservations with Rosaria who always saves us our favorite room and our concierge Sergio who handles all of our excursion and does so happily. Our room is always tended to by the most incredible staff who recognize us from the moment we walk through the door. A great big shout out to the waitstaff Marianna & her sister, Antonio, & Felice. They are all so very attentive. And of course (saved the best for last) our FAVORITE maître d’ in all of Italy…FRANCESCO! Words cannot describe how warm and welcoming (with his big smile) each and every visit! He truly makes us feel like family! The views are spectacular and the botanical gardens are gorgeous. The salt water pool is very refreshing but we love to lay by the Mediterranean Sea. The lounge beds are great and the service by the sea is very relaxed. You can order sandwiches & snacks while you lay by the sea or you can enjoy a true Italian style lunch in the restaurant. The food is delicious! We love the spaghetti with eggplant, seafood risotto and the brick oven pizza. The wine is great too! We highly recommend Parco Dei Principe! We are looking forward to visiting this summer!

Such a beautiful hotel! Our room had a balcony that I never wanted to leave. Big room with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with so many great options including smoked fish. The dinner in the restaurant was one of the best on our entire trip. The many places to admire the view and lounge with a bottle of wine. The private black sand beach was so pretty. The view from the lounge chairs on the boardwalk was so nice but the $20 drinks end at 6 p.m. The saltwater pool was large and inviting but cool. The hotel grounds are just amazing even in the fall. I can imagine their beauty in Spring. We were sad to leave after only 2 nights.

Hotel had extreme noise at night due to weddings ( until midnight per Italian Laws). Impossible to sleep and at 5 am every Morning for the 6 nights were were there;we were woken up by the screeches of luggage being dragged across the floor from cruise guests. The gym had rotted wood floors which were ugly & a hazard. As a guest spending over $1000 UDD per night this hotel was a true disappointment. Buffet breakfast would not allow us to eat before 7:30am so the cruise guest could eat first. Manager, Alessandro Agosto was very rude. Initially offered us 10% off 2 nights which was $200 in total but then reneged this offer. Hotel has not been upgraded since 1962 per their front desk staff.

We picked this hotel because it was situated on the cliffs overlooking the Gulf of Naples and it didn't disappoint. The view from most of the hotel was spectacular. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the water. You could also sit on the patio at the top of the cliffs, the beach and bar area at water level, or catch the view in their restaurant. The hotel had a complimentary shuttle service to take you into the heart of Sorrento where you could go shopping or find a local place to eat. You can reach many of Sorrento's tourist attractions by walking from the shuttle stop. The staff are professional, friendly, and laid back. In particular, Dominico, made us feel like family. The hotel is done in a beautiful 60s motif. Domenico shared the hotel's history with us, which was interesting. We spent time wandering around the hotel's beautiful gardens too. Overall, just a perfect relaxing get away! We plan to go back again ... and soon!

Unfortunately, the issues I experienced did not match what would be expected for a 5 star hotel at this price range. 1) Location is not good for Sorrento. It is a 25 min walk to go to the square, which is where you would want to be near. There is nothing nice around this hotel area. -The hotel told me there is a shuttle service that they offer. However, they have only 1 car with 8 seats available and offer the ride in very limited times during the day. Each time I tried to reserve a spot, they said "sorry you can take a cab because our shuttle is full" -They have 8 seats for an entire hotel! Hotel is in a terrible area. Far away from everything. 2) My room Air conditioner did not work for the 1st day. repair men came to my room twice to fix it. Apparently the valve was broken and we were very uncomfortable the first night. I'm paying $900/night and front desk gives me smug attitude. Not 5 star attitude 3) Wifi. No wifi in my room. called and asked about it, got no resolution 4) Right next door to the hotel, they host private events with music blasting throughout the whole night. If this hotel is going for exclusive, it did not feel like that either. Overall, the experience was not great. I've been to other hotels in the area, and I would recommend avoiding this one. It's just not a 5 star experience. I thought because it was on the Amex business collection list, it would be good. I assure you, this hotel is not worth your money or your time.
