It’s a hollisque approch, with spectacular architectural design and gardens. Don’t expect gym and traditional 5 starts expérience it’s has nothing to do with the visions the 2 funders. Read about their story and embark in this creative experience. It’s expensive, but this is what it cost to get a limited access to this hotel that never feels crowded. Bring warm clothes, and comfortable shoes. It get colds at night. We have rented the Catamaran and that was the hight light of our trip ! The food, OMG it’s oustanding ( Michelin star) Bravo for this beautiful project, we loved it 🌵

If you’re considering Paradero Cabo as your next luxury escape, don’t. For the staggering price of $1,100 per night, we expected impeccable service, well-curated experiences, and spacious accommodations befitting a high-end retreat. Instead, we endured disorganization, lackluster service, overpriced mediocrity, and outright negligence. Paradero is a place that prioritizes aesthetics over actual hospitality. Pros: • The landscape is undeniably beautiful, though the grounds aren’t as expansive as the price tag suggests. • The restaurant (which is in the Michelin Guide but not Michelin-starred) had solid food—except for a serious food safety issue that made me sick. • Cesar is the only reason this review isn’t a complete zero. His service was exceptional, and he deserves the one star I’m giving. Cons: 1. Overpriced, Unreliable Transportation – Paradero charges $360 for roundtrip airport transfers, but they didn’t even show up on time. We landed to find no driver and no response for four hours. And as if that weren’t bad enough, they charged us twice. 2. No Food Upon Arrival – After a long, frustrating arrival, we got to the hotel at 11 PM, only to be told there was no food available. This crucial detail was never communicated beforehand, so we had to wait until 7 AM the next morning to eat. 3. Service Collapse – While service started off fine, it completely fell apart by the weekend, likely because of Valentine’s Day crowds. But for a “luxury” hotel, this is inexcusable. 4. Tiny Rooms – For a huge development in the middle of the desert, we were shocked at how small the rooms were. There’s no justification for this when you have unlimited land to work with. 5. Lackluster, Overpriced “Experiences” – The Temezcal was decent but way too expensive. The art walk was laughable—the guide knew almost nothing about the art. I would’ve gotten more insight from a quick Google search. 6. Disorganized Communication – They create an itinerary for you but don’t even follow it themselves. Every experience felt like a logistical mess, and you’re left scrambling for answers. 7. Transportation Scams (Again) – Even beyond the airport debacle, their local transportation was unreliable and outrageously overpriced. If you wanted to go anywhere outside their limited schedule, you had to pay $30 one way. 8. Food Safety Violation – I Got Sick – The restaurant, which is in the Michelin Guide, served pickles on a copper plate. Acidic foods react with copper, making it unsafe to eat—which I found out the hard way when I got sick after the meal. The fact that this happened at a place trying to position itself as a fine dining destination is beyond unacceptable. For the price of a true five-star resort, we were met with poor service, tiny rooms, overpriced experiences, and a blatant disregard for food safety. Paradero is all about the aesthetic, with none of the substance to back it up. Save your money and book literally anywhere else.

to Cabo at least twice a year and stayed in so many high end resorts (Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, NOBU, The Cape, Esperanza, Viceroy, Le Blanc) and absolutely never experienced what we experienced here. ROOMS: NO HEATERS gets extremely cold at night especially going to the bathroom since the bathroom is not part of the room and u literally have to go outside! Also be prepared that rooms in the back/backyard have NO PRIVACY and UNSAFE…some workers from the field will be walking around and creeping on you. While I was showering I had some man hide in bushes and watch me shower. good luck taking a bath in the tub that is outside because someone will creep on you. ABSOLUTELY NOT okay! I even recorded a video of it. SERVICE: -0/10 We never got greeted at the lobby they just left us hanging the guy barely even spoke English and was talking on the phone. No one showed us around the property they just told us the room number and we had to go find ourselves. RESTAURANT: be prepared to wait for ur food for about an hour and not the fact they will get it right from the first time. this is NOT a 5* hotel or restaurant the only 5* is the price tag. For this price, I’ll rather stay in Four Seasons in Cabo where service is 5* guaranteed. My sister been wanting to come visit this hotel for so long I told her to cancel and not waster her money and time here.

We decided last min to add a night to our Cabo trip and try out this resort. It was very quiet while we were there. The service was exceptional and Cesar made our trip special. He was super friendly and very attentive. All the luxury hotels normally offer you a bottle of water when you leave your stay and we asked the front desk lady and she said “no we don’t offer that.” After we walked to the restaurant to say our good byes to Cesar and lo and behold he gives us water. He was terrific. The food was spectacular and service was great. The rooms are very nice but you do have to go outside to enter the bathroom. I read many of the negative reviews and i can assure you they have fixed the complaints people had. Def would go back!

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Paradero resort in Todos Santos at the end of Nov/beginning of Dec for 7 nights. During our research of where to stay in Todos Santos, we were drawn to this unique property and stunning architecture. Paradero did not disappoint in this area. The architecture is beautiful and impressive, with a balance of both private spots and open areas. Each room is like entering a castle and every detail feels intentional. The roof top terrace and giant hammock are special spots to soak in the sun and relax with privacy. The thoughtful design and landscape of the resort creates a modern, natural space and experience where you are surrounded by concrete, wood, and plants in a peaceful setting. While we enjoyed and appreciated the beauty of the design and property, we experienced several issues where we felt opportunities for guest service were missed. Before our stay, we communicated with the resort’s team about dietary restrictions and experience bookings, which was convenient through WhatsApp. As vegans, we contacted the resort prior to booking to confirm there would be sufficient vegan options available. Over the phone, we were assured that the restaurant had vegan-friendly meals and were encouraged to communicate our dietary needs once our booking was confirmed. We notified the resort in advance, and were told that the restaurant staff was informed. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our stay and our dining experience was disappointing. The restaurant had no specific vegan dishes and only offered to modify some existing dishes by removing meat or seafood, resulting in vegetarian dishes with no protein. Staples like beans, tofu, or chickpeas were unavailable, which was disappointing given our request and clear communication. We raised the issue with staff early on as we were there for a full week, but there was little responsiveness or effort to accommodate our needs. We met the restaurant manager and shared our concern again, and it was dismissed quickly, and he shared that he was only new to the role. The resort offers a range of activities, including sunset beach visits, hikes, bike rides, and cooking classes. We participated in these four experiences, and the guides were excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and personable and gave us great suggestions of where to visit. However, there were several service issues. The sunset beach experience - while the setup was beautiful, our return shuttle was delayed by over 90 minutes, leaving us waiting in the dark. The staff informed us that the transportation company had gotten lost. Although we were told the restaurant would do something special to make up for the inconvenience, we were only given a small dessert. Secondly, we booked a bike ride on Thursday morning and received confirmation of the booking. However, when we arrived, staff claimed we weren’t signed up. After showing proof of confirmation, the senior staff member blamed the error on new team members. On a positive note, we enjoyed the cooking class experience. We had personally met the chef in charge of this experience who took the time to create a vegan menu for us. He was friendly and personable and created a fun, interactive experience for us and other guests teaching us some tips in the kitchen, and made an enjoyable lunch. The rooms and grounds were cleaned and maintained very well, our room attendant did an excellent job keeping our room fresh, clean and stocked. Location wise, the resort’s location is close to the beach, but unfortunately it does not have direct access due to private properties. We recommend having a vehicle to be able to drive to the various beaches and to drive into town. If you are driving/arriving at night, be cautious as it is difficult to see the turn off for the resort. In summary, this resort is beautiful and has significant potential, but it’s not there yet. Staff and service is inconsistent and many missed opportunities with guest service and service recovery. Staff training and better attention to detail are essential to elevate the guest experience. While some aspects of our stay were enjoyable, the missed opportunities in service and lack of accountability left us disappointed for the price paid.

While the hotel boasts stunning architecture and an impressive layout, our experience was far from satisfactory due to the service and dining issues we encountered. Firstly, the food options were extremely limited for anyone with dietary restrictions. The only vegetarian/vegan option was a $20 plain cauliflower taco, forcing us to take their shuttle to town for meals. The shuttle service was an additional $30+ each way for what should have been a complimentary 10-minute drive, given the high cost of staying here. Even with advance requests, the shuttle was poorly managed—one evening, we waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes, causing us to be late for our dinner reservation. The excuse was "traffic," but there was none to be seen. Communication with the staff was frustratingly slow. Responses on WhatsApp took 2–3 hours, and we had to follow up multiple times for basic requests. Room service was an absolute nightmare—our food order was forgotten and left unaddressed for over an hour, and by the time we received a response, it was close to 10 PM. The same happened at the pool, where they forgot our order entirely and then added an extra drink to our bill, which we didn’t even order. To make matters worse, when settling our bill at the end, we noticed they had charged us for a beach day we never booked or participated in. Double-checking your bill here isn’t just a suggestion—it’s a necessity. For a hotel marketed as "luxury" with a Michelin-starred restaurant, the experience did not live up to the hype or the price tag. The service was disorganized, the food was underwhelming, and hidden charges left a sour taste in our mouths. We left feeling extremely disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly luxurious or relaxing stay. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

The place looked so different, compelling and interesting- I just had to check it out for myself. When I first arrived I thought 5 stars for sure as the General Manager greeted us himself, and everything looked so chill and serene. I’m a super positive person, don’t complain, and find silver linings… so I dont give negative reviews lightly… but so many things happened to just keep lowering the bar. I researched hotels in Cabo, San Jose, todo santos and el pescadeo for months- so it was a big deal to settle on Paradero as well as foot the price tag. For being a “5 star super expensive luxury place” I just do not get it. Well I love The roof for the big skies and panoramic views… and the bedroom is “nice” , it is not big, there is no coffee maker (or tv) but the biggest thing is the bathroom is separate so you do walk outside to walk across to your bathroom. Keep that in mind for the colder months. Thumbs up for the nice hot water in the shower to keep me warm in the morning as the room is pretty cold as it doesn’t get the sun light. We were excited our first night to try the Michelin rated restaurant… but at 7pm they were already out of chicken and shrimp and clams and for a very limited menu as it was- we ended up leaving to find a place in town. For breakfast the next day we ordered 3 items. We waited over for 45 minutes for them to bring two items. The third item (avocado toast) only came AFTER we had finished the first two items AND paid the check and asked them 3 x to cancel the order. They kept saying it was almost done and they still brought it to my husband who at this point was at the pool. There were bugs flying around and I took It back to them an hour later because he didn’t want to eat it anymore and they didn’t offer to take it off bill… I had to ask and I still dont think they did. I would chalk it up to a bad day BUT the SAME thing happened this morning! We ordered 3 items.. it wasn’t nearly as long as a wait today but they still only brought two of the items! We had to remind them about the third item and don’t even get me started about how long it took to sign the breakfast bill today. I know we were not the only ones cause you could see how many people were waiting for food, bills etc and it was a big deal at checkout with people complaining about it. The breakfast was not wow for the rating this place gets and the service fell was short. I did enjoy my juevos rancheros, but the avocado toast is just sliced avocado with one small poached egg.. don’t expect a mash or anything else on it. Also they charge for coffee fyi which wouldn’t be a big deal IF they were not charging over $1100 a night to stay there in the first place! Yesterday I asked if they had the menu for dinner last night for New Years Eve.. this was around mid morning. Come to find out that they were planning a special NYE event .., dress code White and Gold, fixed menu with two choices, and $195 per person and to sign up ahead of time… wait what? If there is a dress code and that’s the only option could t they inform us BEFORE we pack AND at least upon check in if nothing else? That was not welcome news … especially after panicked research yesterday learning lots of restaurants were going to be closed last night, and the others all had expensive very limited menus. And had I not inquired I would not have even known because it wasn’t until 4:30pm yesterday that the hotel had sent a what’s app informing guests that the restaurant would be closed for dinner due to a NYE event. I’m glad we left the property because reading one of the reviews from last night’s event on google it looked like it def wasn’t worth the price tag. Two days ago the wellness class chalkboard showed that meditation yesterday was at 12:30pm. I signed up and even proactively confirmed on what’s app yesterday morning that the time was 12:30 for meditation. I got there at 12:28 and meditation was ENDING. I went To the front desk to ask about this… (I showed them my what’s app message) they said there was a mistake and that the meditation had started at 12pm, and that sound healing was at 12:30 (which I would Have loved to do and the instructor was there) BUT they cancelled it because everyone had cancelled (but it was never on the chalkboard that it was even happening). Given I was there and the instructor was there I dont Understand why they didn’t just go ahead and have the class. From the time we asked for help with bags to leaving the property was 45 min. Check out took a longggg time / the ppl in front of me were complaining and I felt bad for the lady…. But even then at my turn myself it took so long - and we had prepaid so our only cost was $18. The printer stopped, things needed to be reset etc. I heard the guy beside me saying that he was being charged for 4 old fashions that were not his, and the guy in front of me was upset that the for a 5 star place he couldn’t believe the dinner situation last night. I had emailed ahead of time and told the manager and the front desk at check in that it was our anniversary too today- and well I never expect any special anything usually a 5 star place writes a note or sends an amenity… but nada here. Again for over $1100 it’s the extra touches that go a long way. The place is a unique design but has a lot of work to do to get it to being the 5 stars it could definitely be.

If it wasn’t high season, I’d bail after this first night and go elsewhere. Whenever reviewed this hotel as five star luxury either got a VERY different experience or something else…

There is no denying that this hotel's design, architecture, rooms, surroundings, etc. is exceptionally beautiful, gorgeous, magnificent -- truly. Even better than the photos, literally everything is breathtaking. The staff and everyone actually working the hotel day to day are also so lovely in true MX hospitality. Everything else needs work. While Paradero absolutely has the looks of a luxury five star hotel, it functions like a first-timer bed and breakfast at best. Three examples. (1) TLDR: Knew about a food allergy and then fed us that food. Prior to and then upon arriving (count, twice), we told Paradero about my husband's severe nut allergy. You may eye roll but dietary restrictions are pretty relevant information for a hotel that distinguishes itself with its "all inclusive" "life-changing experiences" which include food that we don't have any choice to customize. They also asked us without prompting, two times, so when we answered two times, we had some basic expectations that they'd do something with the information. So at our very first experience during the first night of our stay (sunset beach), they set us up with a lovely bottle of wine and then served us a very large bowl of mixed nuts to snack on for the hour or so we spent on the sand. No other food options so my husband had nothing to eat. We didn't make a fuss; just told the front desk about the incident the next morning. When we did, this person responded by asking if my husband had eaten any (given the severity of his allergy) and when we said he obviously had not (given our very expert ability to identify cashews, peanuts, other usual suspects), she confirmed, so no harm no foul and maybe our guide that night had directed the nuts bowl to just me. That was it. So we asked if she could still please let management know and if someone could get back to us to discuss. When no one reached out, we asked again the next day and then the next. We didn't speak to anyone about what happened until we were walking to our car after check out -- on a little path, a cowboy-looking senior manager, owner, investor, who knows, apologized on behalf of Paradero, said he acknowledged this "huge" issue and that someone would absolutely get back to us. Anyway, no one has and it's been a few weeks. (2) We spent US$125 (pre tax, service) each for a special 4-course Day of the Dead dinner that was a huge, huge sad flop. Dinner started hours late and then each course (again there were only 4) was spaced out by way too much time (like an hour). Not sure how this could have been so poorly executed when the dinner required pre-registration and then with only 10-15 people who attended. We were so tired by 11 pm, we skipped dessert. The chef also came out to explain each course in Spanish which was sometimes translated to English but we were mostly left to guess. So at some point we went back to our room and got my husband's EpiPen to have handy and ate in distress. (3) While we were out we asked if we could have more water delivered to the room. It wasn't there when we got back, so I had to ask again. Eventually got a small bottle after a couple of hours. Note also that the one option for food on-site is pricey. Like $18 for 1 soft shell crab taco, $10 glass of beer and $20 glass of wine. We paid ~$5 each for coffee every morning.

Had a great stay during august, even though its humid in august, the design of this place allows wind to flow, and never felt too crowded. The architecture and food is for sure why you come here, truly memorable experience. Its so nice that most of the experiences are included, each day we had an activity and opportunity to learn more of the region. But the highlight was the cooking class with César, we learned so much about origins of types of food to the region, he has a true passion for what he does, and loved the opportunity to learn from him!
