I normally don't write reviews but I was so impressed with this hotel! We arrived at the airport and they helped us book a taxi which was waiting for us to take us the twenty minutes or so to the hotel which is such a beautiful drive and worth it! The food was amazing and they even helped us rent a car from the hotel itself so we could explore! Even in the off-season, the beach was beautiful and we drove around the island to go to different beaches and sights and it was worth it! The beach right beside the hotel is very rocky but so beautiful nonetheless but some other beaches were more sandy and I enjoyed it so much! Since it was the end of November most of the hotels, shops, and excursions were closed for the season but that didn't bother us at all we were so happy with our room which had an amazing hot tub, and a view of the mountains and the ocean! The room also had a view of the sign which made for awesome photos which was quite amazing! Also, just a little heads up for people who are allergic to cats (I am and had allergy issues it was the only downside) but the whole island is full of cats and many live around the hotel and sometimes would even sneak their way into the hotel when no one was looking and would beg for food or even go into some of the other guest's rooms if they were on the bottom floor and they left their door open but they are harmless cuties but I know just being around them made my allergies act up but I am severely allergic so it won't happen to all and I was happy to see them!

Lovely modern hotel.
Really nice surprise when we arrived that we had been upgraded to a junior wellness suite. The room was probably one of the best I’ve stayed in although a little bit on the dark side. Shower was amazing.
The food and drinks were excellent although cocktails had to be paid for. One night we had to drink out of plastic beakers which was a bit odd but glasses the rest of the week.
Grassed area for sun loungers which were very comfortable.
Nice area, lots of shops and restaurants.
No entertainment but it didn’t bother us that much.
Lots and lots of cats, one actually peed in my bag!
Very clean.
Lovely staff, uber friendly and helpful.
Had an awesome time, if you want some where to just relax, this is it.
Thank you everyone at the Palmera

The women at the massage / spa side are so lovely. Had a wonderful massage and was given some advice/tips regarding some muscle knots I have in my back. Very pleased we paid for the spa treatments. The spa itself was warm and comforting. Very clean.

Stayed at this lovely hotel, right on the sea front, for 10 nights. We booked a Superior room with sea view, not sure what was superior about it apart from the sea view and bath robes (no belts) and slippers, but it had everything we needed. The shower was good apart from the water draining away, itcwas very slow so we had to keep turning the water off until it drained. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed even though we had left them hung up. Having mobility issues I really appreciated the ramps all over the hotel inside and out. We were AI and the three buffets per day were varied enough not to get bored and the food was good. The AI drinks were OK apart from the wine, which I think was Retsina and too harsh for us. We mainly drank beer ( not bad), and the local brandy and ouzo which were fine. It would have been nice if one or two cocktails were included on the AI menu but the cocktails we paid for were good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Angela and Valarious (apologies if I've spelt it wrong) on the bar in the evening were efficient and friendly. A big shout out to Mr Nikos on the fruit juice and coffee machine, he was a ray of sunshine each morning at breakfast with his big Kalimera greeting to everyone and always ready with dietary advice. The pool is very small and we didn't use it but the sunbeds on the lawn at the back of the hotel were the most comfortable sunbeds we've ever come across and we've tried a lot. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't be averse to a second visit.

All members of the personal were absolutely friendly and kind. We booked only breakfast, but ate also in the restaurant next to the hotel very often, the food was fresh and delicious.

Good Points-the staff in the restaurant and cleaning staff were brilliant. Cannot say that for the staff behind the bar. The area where the hotel is situated was brilliant
Bad Points:- Had to pay for the safe - not done that since the 80's in Spain. Plastic Cups for our drinks - I am not 16 - I am not at a festival - I want a glass. We gave up in the end asking. I understand not taking glass outside onto the beach or near the pool - but when you are eating in their restaurant - NOT ON. The pool and the grounds are tired - some of the sun beds needs replacing. We had a Superior Double Room, it was tired and needed sorting. The hair dryer which was attached to the wall near a mirror was very handy - however i was not informed that is did not work. I went to use it and i thought it was going to blow up (found one in a drawer). The plug in the sink did not work - drove my husband nuts while he was trying to shave . Smoking - it seemed the locals could smoke in the bar (i am not a smoker) but this did bother me while i was drinking out of a plastic beaker !.What finished me off was the facility they offered when checking out. Shower button broken - another broken hairdryer but it was dirty and not at all what i expected. This time i did complain to reception. Who did take note of it. I will not be going back

Check-in: The best hotel experience ever. We checked in very late and the nice man on reception was able to organise dinner before the restaurant had closed.
Rooms: The rooms were absolutely stunning, we had a room with king size bed (huge), Jacuzzi and walk-in shower with sauna. The fixtures were modern and the air conditioned rooms were a welcome respite from the Cretan sun. The rooms were also spotless, with daily cleaning available.
Facilities: There are a large amount of sun loungers dotted along the middle green area between reception and the rooms. The pool was the only downside; There were tables with people having food next to it which meant if you wanted a swim you'd have to walk past people eating their lunch/dinner etc. The pool seemed almost incidental to the hotel experience but this was not a big deal to us and of course the beach is literally right outside the hotel. The hotel itself is right in the middle of the main strip so you're within walking distance of all the main bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
Staff: The staff were so friendly and helpful, from the late receptionist mentioned above to the bar and waiting staff. They were always ready to help and were the best part of our stay.
Food and Drink- The food was amazing, we ate dinner here three times out of seven nights- The gyros plate, pizza and in particular the mousaka are wonderful. Service was quick and professional. We went for bed and breakfast, and a 10percent discount on food and drinks is applied for hotel guests. As mentioned above, the bar staff were brilliant and happy to make any cocktail in their recipe book and some that weren't.
Check-out: is 11am. We had a late flight so made use of the luggage room which was very handy. If at all possible, it would be great to have the option of a late check-out.
All in all, this was the most wonderful stay during our honeymoon and we'd recommend it 100 percent.

We recently stayed at Palmera Beach Hotel and Spa for the second time, and once again, it was a truly wonderful experience. The room was fantastic, complete with a jacuzzi and hammam, providing the perfect setting for relaxation.
The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of dishes each day. The waffles at breakfast were absolutely delicious, and the selection of desserts was impressive. The veal was so tender it melted in your mouth, and we thoroughly enjoyed trying various Greek cuisine dishes.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Yanna at reception, who was extremely helpful even before our stay, organizing our transfer and answering all our questions with care.
I also had an amazing candle massage from Sania. She listened carefully to my needs and relieved my muscle tension with great skill and care.
Thank you sincerely for making our stay unforgettable.

Firstly I’d like to start by mentioning the staff who worked very hard and were polite. The buffet food was tasty and the breakfast chef was always smiling and saying hello. We loved the food and enjoyed the salads. The room we had was superior with sea view and it was everything we needed was clean and well presented. Loved the shower room and the cosmetics were a nice touch the shower gel smelt so nice. The people that made the room up each day did an amazing job at keeping our room nice and clean throughout our stay. We did have a massage and found the spa staff amazing and very knowledgable.
The bad points
The additional charges when you’ve already paid £2000 for an all
Inclusive holiday was a bit disappointing for us. We had to pay to rent a sun bed each day which ate into our budget. The all inclusive drinks menu wasn’t great and had to spend more money to get better drinks. The bar area is very dark and dingy and the bar is open to the public so at times we were waiting for a drink. The drinks were served in plastic cups and it felt that all inclusive guests were not the priority. The pool is very small and we didn’t use it for this reason.
The cats I felt so sorry for as some of them had injuries and the male cats not neutered so were fighting a lot. Why haven’t you got a basic feeding station for the cats? I felt so bad for them I went and brought cat food and fed them each night. I feel you need to look after them and care for them and not just use them as a tourist attraction for your guests.
I didn’t like that most of the areas were for smoking. I don’t find it pleasant to eat a pizza with a sea view and having to breathe in the smoke of other tables around me. I don’t understand why you can’t have no smoking areas? Not everyone wants to be around that and passive smoke, get cancer and die. I did mention it to the waiter in the al a cart restaurant over the road as it was ruining my meal. He moved the table behind me but was surprised I had a problem with it in the first place. I also saw people at the bar area smoking in front of the bar staff and nothing was mentioned even though that area was signed as being no smoking. It wasnt pleasant being around this and started to annoy me. It wasn’t worth the money we paid and I think you need to tighten up on a few things I’ve mentioned to provide a better experience for your guests this made the experience all very average for us and nothing special.

We have just spent 2 weeks at the Palmera Beach and loved it so much. From our check in ( your just in time for lunch, why not have that and we will check you in afterwards) to the fair well the staff and Helena the manager were amazing. Special thanks to Mr Nikos who made us laugh and feel so at home. The food was amazing, so much choice . There were a few niggles such as decaf coffee isn’t included in the all inclusive!! Never heard of that before. We knew cocktails weren’t included in all inclusive so that wasn’t a problem, but we were given drinks in plastic glasses, which I can understand near the pool or in the garden area. But why give them to us in the evening? After all it is an adult only hotel, so please treat us as such. The room had a fantastic sea view and very comfortable beds , loved it. So a few niggles but I’m still giving it 5 stars .

The only moan really was that we had to pay £10 euros per day for sun beds and towels, which I thought was odd being all inclusive guests, as we just wanted to relax and not go to far was quite costly. The food is out of this world! Lots of variety for all.
The reception staff helped us plan a trip to Spironga island.
We loved every minute. Would highly recommend
