This was quite simply the best holiday EVER! We are so thankful we got to visit this paradise for our honeymoon, it was everything we wanted and more! We traveled from London Heathrow into Barbados and then were met and guided through to our next (small) plane to Palm Island (aka a slice of paradise) From the moment we arrived we were greeted off the boat by Katie and her team with a rum punch and a warm welcome. The team that work here really make this 5* as everyone is so welcoming and kind, Johany was amazing at making us cocktails every night at the bar, and Niarshair, Oliver, Shaquille & Glenford (to name a few) were just amazing, always smiling and checking in with us, but honestly there wasn’t a single person on the island that wasn’t polite and friendly, we felt so safe and looked after the entire time which were very thankful for. We stayed in a beach front apartment which was directly on the beach allowing you to hear the sea to drift off. Our room was spacious and clean with all the amenities we expected. We loved that all meals were served to you (no buffet in sight!) and lunch was a particular favourite of ours as we liked to sit directly on the beach while sipping a glass of wine! They even had a French province, Rose which was heavily! Food choices were fantastic, we stayed for 10nights and nothing was repeated in the evenings, always a good selection and a form of live music to accompany. Breakfast & lunch menu stayed the same, but there was such a good selection we didn’t get board! The French toast with rum butter was INCREDIBLE! And for lunch some of our favourites were the seafood pasta & palm island burger! We loved how personal it felt staying here, not crowded at all, always enough sun beds for and a lot of the time it really felt like it was just us on our own island which was exactly what we wanted! We loved being able to ride bikes around and explore coves of the beach which felt like untouched havens! This place really is wonderful and we’re already trying to plan for when we can return! Lastly, a huge thank you to Katie, you really helped make our time on the island special! All the little touches never went unnoticed, we were so sad to leave! And really do hope we get to return one day! x

After having to cancel a proposed holiday in 2020, we finally arrived on 17th May. The journey was an experience in itself and the small plane from Barbados to Union Island is thrilling!! I was slightly anxious but it was wonderful We got off the hotel boat to be greeted by Alaska and Alex. Fellow visitors were greeted as family as they had been there frequently. We were in a Palm View room No 28 which was right opposite to the swimming pool. The Restaurant and Bar were very close and the other Restaurant not too far away. This holiday was to celebrate my Husband's 70th birthday and on the day all staff he saw wished him a Happy Birthday, which he did not expect!! I organised a birthday cake for him and 7 of us sat down to dinner, which was really lovely and he did not expect this!! We had exceptional food , all very tasty, Johnny, John, Nick and Dea'Jean who has just joined, were great in the bar always smiling and they all know your name after a day as do the rest of the staff. We did some trips, while we were there, Hubby had a few hours fishing but he said next time he will do the deep sea fishing trip!! We also had a few hours with the very knowledgeable Seymour and i loved all the history of Union Island. Recommended. I have never done any Catamaran trips but we went on the Yannis for the Sunset .Cruise. Drinks and snacks added to this trip and the view of the sunset was wonderful. I could not bring myself to use the bikes at the resort but Mr H had a lovely time exploring the island. I walked round with him one early evening, something I don't usually do but it was really interesting......I would love one of the private dwellings we passed on that walk!! Something we did not expect to see was a mummy turtle coming up on the beach and laying her eggs.... Finally I would like to mention new found friends from both the UK and the US. So many of them visit time after time and I can understand why. I must mention Alex and Alaska who were just wonderful. They make sure everyone is having a great time and do not lock themselves in an office. I will mention the customer serve from everyone. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. So many thanks to the bar staff, Johnny, John, Nick, Dea 'Jean and of course William and Shaq, Glenford, Hulda, Camille, Chef Baka, Ayesha for making the tasty birthday cake, and all the others including the lovely Joy who looked after our room. Thank you, thank you all. Much love to you all. Nice to meet Katie on our last day.....we will be back Rita and Clive

We’ve visited Palm Island Resort five times, so we obviously like it. We went again in May 2024 and had a great vacation. We love this tiny island and this very small hotel is great fun. Palm island isn’t easy to get to, but the small plane rides and short boat trip are a part of the experience. We had a very comfortable superior beachfront room — which I think is the same size as the other beachfront rooms, but with a few extras and different decor. The hotel is not high luxury, but it is good quality. It’s efficient and still has a very relaxed, laid-back feeling. The staff are great (too many good people to mention names) and the manager Katie and (temporarily) Alex were hands-on, always visible, sociable, good fun and helpful. I loved the opportunity to exercise with a very early morning hike around the island, with its beautiful beaches and lookout points. For anyone interested I made a YT video of the walk (see Random Walks / a stroll around Palm Island). It is also easy to visit neighbouring Union Island and others in the Grenadines chain. We (once again) did the boat trip to Tobago Cays and the sunset cruise). You can now take a (battery-powered) tuk tuk tour of neighbouring Union Island. It was interesting -- especially as it was too hot for a long walk. So this place suits us very well. We like it a lot. In the interests of balance there was one thing that surprised us. Having become used to free wifi in vacation hotels, we were surprised at the cost here. It is $21 a day, and so that was close to $300 for our stay. This is apparently to pay for wifi around the island. Perhaps it would have been better to hide some of the cost in room rates. In summary, we had a great time and wish we were still there.

This was definitely worth the wait- it’s been on my list for a few years and oh yes, it exceeded expectations! A lovely relaxed unpretentious resort - enough options and space for you to be totally romantic and on your own or with activities to join in and mingle with guests. Be it crab racing, Katie’s rum tasting or Caribbean dance buffet night. You can dress up or be less formal and still feel at ease. We Spent hours on the most amazing beach watching water sports guys teaching guests on efoils ( wish I’d been brave enough) or watching some beautiful yachts go by. Max in the yoga/gym/ water aerobics was outstanding- either teaching a class of 1 or 10! Gym very good too. Our Palm view room was a great size and we still got an ocean view. No 33. Undecided if it’s worth getting beachfront. A real laugh provided by our cleaner Margaret with her towel arrangements. To cute! Food was good all week and lobster at the Caribbean buffet outstanding!! Lunch taken under cute palm umbrellas with wine that doesn’t stop. No need to reserve beds, there are loads! Cooler by the pool with the refreshing wind, but beach was the heaven views for us. Two spa treatments in the relaxing spa. Bicycles to pick up when ever you want to explore the island( bit cooler with breeze than walking. Different spurs of the island to climb so we always had something to do. Great trip to Tobago cays to see Jack Sparrow Island and swim with turtles . Couldn’t better the Beach Movie night with “Pirates of the Caribbean” sipping cocktails. Lots of guests have been back year after year. I can see why. Well done Katie and team, it takes great effort to achieve that. Hopefully we will too. Highly recommend.

Katie, the Resort Manager, was absolutely AMAZING from the moment we stepped onto Palm Island’s small docking platform until we sadly had to say ‘Goodbye’ before heading back to hectic London life. Everything about our 12 days of pure relaxation on Palm Island was perfect and we’ll definitely return as soon as we possibly can. On arrival we were informed about a few of the activities available, but having just arrived from London, we were really seeking some Peace and Tranquillity, and were then delighted to hear that we could also choose to do absolutely nothing at all! We had a delightful Beachfront room. It was perfect - just a few fine white sandy steps to the crystal-clear sea. Every day we’d walk/climb around the unspoilt natural island, absorbing all its varied and beautiful nature and wildlife. We did get involved in some of the more gentle organised activities - Pilates with Max, pampering in the Spa; yet we also thoroughly enjoyed Katie’s pre-dinner Rum-tasting/dancing evenings for those who wanted to get involved. And for exciting, high-octane, action-packed activity, our long-overdue Game Fishing trip with Grenadines Fishing, organised by Katie’s exceptional team, ticked all the boxes, a bonus being that we caught, brought back and ate a Barracuda as well as some other fair-sized very edible fish! Katie’s charming manner, her caring, happy, can-do spirit and contagious energy flows through all Palm Island’s ‘Family’ team. You all contribute to Palm Island's unique and idyllic experience and we’ll be back to see you again very soon. Please save our room!

We travel at least twice a year to the Caribbean. Palm Island has been our best experience to date. It is absolutely breathtaking. There is no towel game whatsoever. Every morning, we ate breakfast, ride the bikes, and hiked one of the trails before heading to the beach where we had our choice of palapa. Every staff member was so personable- Katie, Naia, Glenford, Oliver, John, Nick, Shaquille, just to name a few. The beach and color of the water were spectacular. The food was great. We were at Galley Bay, also an Elite property last year, and it was pretty perfect, but the beauty and experience of Palm Island gives it the edge, in my opinion. The whole experience, starting with the plane ride in was outstanding.

BEYOND AMAZING week in Palm Island all because of Katie and her amazing staff! you absolutely get customer experience and making it a dream vacation! The trek was quite the adventure, 2 plane rides and a short boat ride to reach paradise. 136 acres to one resort, no cars. You have the option of beach, riding a bike, walking, hiking, gym, tennis, water sports, excursions, exploring other beaches on the Island. Beautiful views, peace and serenity! Food was amazing, the two chefs and assistants are very skilled! Not one dish we would not order again. I had a medical concern and everyone made sure I was able to enjoy my week without stress. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! We stayed in the superior beachfront room. In our opinion, the best room, fully updated! The sunset view from bed was quite the treat, as was the distance to the beach/restaurant/other amenities. My only issue, which isn’t the resort’s fault, but wish ownership could find a way to navigate with the Government is the fact the beach is public. We came to Palm Island as it was advertised to be secluded/adults only and given our fast paced/high stress jobs, we wanted a week of quiet and ultimate peace. I loved the fact there were signs at the beach reading “no cell phone, vacation at work”. Unfortunately non resort patrons docking their boats at the dock mostly ignored and we had to put up with a family that returned on a couple occasions with a child and older kids, screaming and playing ball in the water. Plus some others during the week. One couple literally stood right next to the sign on facetime/speaker with their daughter for over 10 minutes, less than 5 feet from where we were laying. The calm beach area isn’t very big, enough for the guests, but can get crowded if being shared with other vacationers/locals. We also saw another family (not guests of the resort) walking the grounds and even allowed their children to enjoy the hammocks as a swing set, as they were taking photos and the kids were laughing, even though there were signs saying “private”. Other than this little part of annoyance, there is absolutely nothing else I would suggest. Staff we MUST mention that really gave us a lasting impression: Katie (Resort Manager) is just AMAZING, her energy level and “can do” spirit is contagious. She will welcome you and see you off at the dock, brought on tears to see such a touching goodbye from a resort Manager. We also witnessed some restaurant staff waving goodbye after leaving the dock. They didn’t have to do that, thank you so much for the extra touch. Niarshair (Nia) you are one special lady, your staff are lucky to have you as a Manager. Each time I hear Mariah Carey, I’ll think of you. Johnny, such a quiet reserved gentleman, but really opened up about his two wonderful sons and love for fishing. Thank you for the martinis!! Bernadette at the front desk, you were our first hello and really set the tone for what we were about to experience for the next 10days. Thank you for the warm welcome. Olanna, will miss your humour and spice, keep shining like the star you are. John, Mr. Soca man, you are amazing at your role and will excel. Your career trajectory is looking very bright! Kaydra and William, two young shining stars that are so wonderful , you will both achieve great success. Glenford, I keep checking to calendar to see when April 12th comes so you can go spend time with your lovely daughter. You are one easy going professional gentleman and we really enjoyed your authenticity and our chats! Shaquille, thank you for the laughs and attention. Nick, you’re such a gentlemen and very professional. Thank you for the great drinks, signed “the Island Gyal” 😊. Shiba, we saw your wave as we were leaving, it really touched my heart… thank you for your level of professionalism. Hulda, what a pleasure it was to meet you, thank you for your health assistance. We also had the pleasure of meeting your husband on the way to the airport. If I missed anyone, I’m truly sorry. There is not one person that we did not enjoy our time with.

From Sincia at booking to John at the bar, everything was handled professionally, and our journey to and from the island went without a hitch. Once we arrived, we couldn't believe the natural beauty of the place. We've traveled all thruout the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Belize and Palm Island manages to capture the best aqua and turquoise crystallize waters, gentle breezes, and soft white sand that any of the above places offer. Everywhere you look is surreal from lush greenery to idyllic balinese styled interiors to the graceful islands beyond. There is wildlife everywhere, both on land and when snorkeling in the sea and you are serenaded by Nature's voice wherever you go. We chose an oceanfront room and, after seeing the other options, feel this was the best value. The room was quite spacious, with windows surrounding three sides, daily stocked fridge,a large bathroom with fluffy towels, and plenty of luxury bath items. Each of these rooms has its own patio with cushioned loungers and table plus a palapa, table, and chairs in the sand sitting right at the Water's edge--what an incredible view! All meals provided many options, and everything was tasty. Guests truly enjoy socializing with each other and also relaxing in their own quiet space. There are a variety of activities: rum tasting night was especially fun, as were the crab races! We enjoyed the trip on the Yannis to Tabogo Cays, but unless you just want to see turtles, the snorkeling at the resort offers much more diversity. Note: some reviews mentioned the need for insect repellent. We brought some but never needed to use it. With all the natural beauty here,It is easy to see why so many people return!

This was our 9th visit to Palm Island. Everyone always asks us, why do you go there so often… all I can say it is our “Happy Place”. There is no placed like it…. Year after year, we have a better trip. This year was exceptional. The food was even better than it has been. (And it has always been good). The service, as always, is top notch. The beach in Palm is one of the best beaches we have ever been on. It is better than Tahiti, Fiji, and the Maldives. There is no sand softer. When we are in palm we cannot wait to go to the beach and go swimming in the water. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and what sets Palm apart from others is the people. They are not staff , they are friends. They all care…. From the grounds team, to housekeeping, to the office team, the spa team (Bali girls give the BEST massages), to the restaurant team,, to the bar team - everyone is exceptional. Katie has done a phenomenal job of making it feel like home for everyone that visits. The only bad thing is 9 nights in Palm is just not enough. We cannot wait for our visit next year… which will be for more than 9 nights.

Beautiful island, wonderful staff. We are well traveled island guests in our early 40s. Every year husband and I explore a new island- this year we chose Palm Island based on the fact we LOVE Galley Bay which is their sister resort in Antigua. This resort has a better beach than Galley Bay, but we preferred Galley Bay for overall experience. 1st- we are just 41, and we were easily 20-25 years younger than the average guest. No music playing anywhere. Not at the bar, not at the restaurant. The only time music was played was once the “entertainment” arrived about 7pm, and was done by 9. Sometimes Johnny the bartender would turn his phone on for some music for us. Johnny was awesome and has been there for over 20 years- he used to work for the old owners back in the late 90s. The staff all were fantastic and really care about the guests experience. We did the spa 3 times, rode the bikes around the island everyday, did 2 boat/ snorkeling excursions. All experiences were great and well organized. 2nd- lack of food available. If you miss a mealtime, you are just out of luck. There’s not any beach bar options/ room service options. Most meals included seafood. One day we did talk to Ed about our food issues and he had a pizza made in the kitchen and delivered to our room, so that may be an option if requested in advance? It wasn’t advertised as such. 3rd- It is very expensive, and while the beauty of the island is breathtaking, it didn’t feel like it was worth the higher cost of other Elite Island resorts of their brand. Would I recommend this resort? Absolutely- If the purpose of your trip is to have quiet relaxation, with minimal interaction with other people, seafood dinners, and buffet breakfasts. We loved the calm time we had together- and the beautiful Grenadines islands, but will definitely look for a more lively resort for our next trip.

Just returned after 11 days on Palm Island followed by 4 in Barbados. We last visited 6 years ago and were looking forward to our trip. From the efficient meet & greet at Barbados Airport to the warm welcome once we arrived it didn’t disappoint. The resort was even more beautiful than I had remembered. It has a rustic charm and its own unique personality that you don’t get at larger more sterile resorts. It’s well maintained, very clean and staffed by genuinely friendly and helpful people. Quick example being the young man who came in to replenish the towels in the gym. He saw that we were struggling to set up the soundbar to access some music and came over to assist. We had no issue with the Internet during our stay and managed to watch the England Ireland 6 Nations rugby on our phone with no problems. On our first visit I had a massive problem with mosquitoes and sand flies, and to be honest this had put me off returning. I can honestly report that on this visit I didn’t get bitten at all. I took lots of precautions and used repellents during the day as well as at night and was aware of them fogging the Island regularly which is obviously working. The GM Katie runs a very tight ship and has a hands on approach helping out wait staff if necessary. At one stage during our visit the resort was at full capacity. You wouldn’t have known given the amount of space, levels of service etc. which is a strong contributor to the number of repeat guests. We will not wait so long to return next time.

This was our second visit, our first was to get married. We weren't disappointed on our second trip, it had improved. The wonderful, General Manager Katie and her team are such an asset to the resort and the staff were all wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was beyond excellent and the chef would help if needed with questions. Johnny kept the bar in order and would produce anything asked for. We had a wonderful sunset Katamaran trip as returning guests and we went on the trip with Yannas to Tobago Quays to swim with the turtles and feed the Rays. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were kept spotless, thank you Margaret. We will certainly be back again in the near future. Thank you to all the staff and Katie. Sian and Andrew

This could be the perfect resort: stunning beaches, clear turquoise sea, fantastic watersports, excellent snorkelling off the beach (look out for the turtles near the Sunset Grill), great hiking up the hills (the Cactus trail is best for the view) and wonderful wildlife all around the island (red spotted tortoises, iguanas and three types of heron). The food and drinks are good, served by some of the friendliest staff in the Caribbean. And last, but not least, Palm Island’s Katie is by far the best hotel Manager in the world! But what lets it down is its smoking policy (if it actually has one). Most other Caribbean resorts that we have stayed at are now non-smoking except in designated areas away from other guests. However, at Palm Island smokers often chain-smoked inside the main bar area. Guests also smoked at the tables around the edge of the Sunset Grill. The staff told us this was allowed as it was not under the main roof of the restaurant. However, the wind would blow smoke towards you while you ate. We also had guests chain-smoking next to us on the beach. Please, please, please make this a healthy, non-smoking paradise!
