For the price and marketing of being a 5 star hotel our experience just did not meet those standards. We stayed here for our honeymoon and had one of top floor deluxe suites so normally you would expect top tier service and amenities. The rooms are out dated, the TVs don’t have any streaming apps or chromecast options so the only channels to watch are in Italian or CNN with limited movie rental options for $15 a piece, for this price point and being a luxury resort this is unacceptable. Bathroom showers are small. Overall the cabinets/storage are limited and small/cheap. We found majority of the staff to be rude and seemed to not want to be bothered. Not very welcoming either. The beach club was randomly closed one day because of rain in the forecast but it was sunny the entire day. And then the next day the beach club was closed for the rest of season which no one disclosed at any time to us. This was disappointed and felt like a big miss in regards to amenities. The pool area has tons of flys, like unbearable we had to leave. They need to remove the grass from that area. The food overall is over priced and small portions, you will leave hungry with a large bill. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the views are stunning and the location is great, walking distant to Ravello. However, it feels like the hotel is relying on that and it feels like they don’t think they have to provide a top tier service and experience because of the view/exterior aesthetic. It’s a shame because it is very beautiful but they need to make some improvements if they want to continue to draw clients at this price point.

This hotel is unlike any hotel I have ever stayed at. I have traveled all over the world, and this hotel located in Ravello is unmatched. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a dream! They upgraded our room to celebrate the fact we had just gotten married. The room and hotel was so clean with gorgeous decor and a breathtaking view. The entire staff is extremely professional while at the same time making you feel like you’re home and surrounded by family. The food and beverage is top tier with many options. The amenities were amazing. It is a perfectly located hotel that gets you away from the busy touristy crowds and allows for a more exclusive experience, while still having so much to do and see around you! The beach club was amazing! This hotel is worth every dollar. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the staff for an unforgettable experience.

We loved our stay at Palazzo Avino! The views are gorgeous from the room and each dining place was delicicious! We ate on the terrace overlooking the beautiful view and at Rosselinis which was very good! The martini bar had over 100 martinis so plenty to chose from as well....

The service at all the places is top notch and Antonio even got me a replacement white shirt from the laundry room for my wedding when I brought the wrong one!

The perfect stay on the Amalfi coast! We loved this hotel, especially the fact that it's in Ravello and not in the touristy Positano or Amalfi. Location, service, food and cocktails were awesome. Special shout out to the best concierge ever - Antonio! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

This is a first-class hotel in every respect. The facility is both beautiful and well-maintained. And the location is beyond compare. The food--from breakfast to dinner and the snacks in between--was superlative. But what sets this facility apart is the staff. They are well-trained, friendly, helpful, and engaging. This applies to everyone from the ladies who clean the rooms and the busboys to the head waiter and the concierges. I have stayed at Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and other luxury properties. None comes close to the experience I had at Palazzo Avino.

The finest hotel and staff we have ever experienced and we have stayed at some of the best. Attention to detail is astonishing highly recommended for location, ambience, decor, and staff. Views are hard to imagine. Don’t miss Rossellini’s for the finest in dining.

We've had many wonderful visits to the Palazzo Avino over the years and this was no exception. What keeps us coming back? The fabulous setting & spectacular views, striking architecture & decor, superb food - all these would be enough. But, the special factor which sets the Palazzo Avino apart; the people, who give the hotel its character. From the perma smiling housekeeping ladies, the beaming greeting at breakfast from Vittorio, knowledgeable and humorous sommelier Luigi and of course, the Captain of the Ship, Antonio (who we've known for 24 years!). Guests at the PA aren't just guests, we are made to feel like friends and we value that. Looking forward to the next time.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! Rooms were fantastic and staff could not have been more attentive, helpful and friendly. Views are beyond belief. Loved everything about it. Highly recommend!! Fantastic location. Food was some of the best we had in all of Italy.

While I had anticipated a luxurious and memorable experience, the reality was an unending series of disappointments and inconveniences that left me utterly disheartened. From...

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my recent stay at your establishment, on the occasion of my wedding first night. While I had anticipated a luxurious and memorable experience, the reality was an unending series of disappointments and inconveniences that left me utterly disheartened. From the very beginning, my experience was marred by a complete lack of professionalism and respect for guest privacy. The incident involving room service walking in on an intimate moment was not only embarrassing but also a shocking breach of privacy and decency. It was a distressing start to what should have been a special occasion. The issues only continued to pile up as my stay progressed. Waiting 30 minutes for a simple towel, pool tiles falling out and posing a danger to guests, and the state of the Turkish spa with piles of dirt at the bottom of the tub all contribute to an overall picture of negligence and disregard for guest safety and comfort. The lack of attention to detail was further exemplified by the presence of piles of dirt in the spa, the neglect of cleaning ashtrays, atrocious internet connectivity, and the apparent absence of communication between the hotel and its collaborators like Valentino reps. These oversights not only tarnished the image of the hotel but also demonstrated a lack of commitment to excellence. Furthermore, the accommodations provided during my stay were far from the standard one would expect from a luxury hotel. The pillows were of an unacceptable quality, akin to those found in a hostel rather than a purportedly upscale establishment. The "bait and switch" tactic used to change rooms was not only deceptive but also disrupted the experience of a second wedding and further eroded trust in the hotel's promises. The issues with service were also impossible to ignore. From the inability to bring menus to the table at the Michelin restaurant to the complete neglect and inattentiveness shown during dinner, the level of service was far from satisfactory. It is inconceivable that a hotel with apparently ample staff would exhibit such disregard for its guests. The discrepancies between the images of rooms on your website and the reality of the accommodations provided were stark and disappointing. The low voltage electricity that prevented proper charging, the malfunctioning "Do Not Disturb" signs, and the lack of guidance on how to use basic amenities within the room only further exacerbated the numerous challenges faced during my stay. The overall acoustics within the hotel were far from ideal, with noise from both hotel staff and other guests disturbing the peace and tranquility one would expect in a luxury setting. It was evident that little consideration was given to creating a serene environment for guests to relax and enjoy their stay. In conclusion, my experience was nothing short of a series of letdowns and frustrations that left me questioning the quality of service and commitment to excellence at your establishment, which includes Mariella. The numerous issues I encountered, combined with the lack of genuine care and attention, paint a dire picture of an establishment that has lost sight of its role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. I implore you to take my feedback seriously and address the myriad issues that plague your hotel. The discrepancies between your marketing claims and the actual experience provided to guests are disheartening and damaging to your reputation. I believe that with sincere effort and significant improvements, you can salvage your reputation and once again become a destination that guests can trust and enjoy. Lastly, Mariella will probably be personally responding to this with justifications and excuses versus trying to rectify the situation. This really is the best in Ravello and the Amalfi coast for us. Even versus the more expensive Belmond. It is a truly beautiful property with a real wow (/insta!) factor given the views and strong design element. Fabulous food and service, including even some healthy options which is almost impossible in most of Italy. They even have their own beach club. It is worth the extra money over the alternatives which tend to be that very tired old school vibe.

My husband and I had our destination wedding at Palazzo Avino in May and every single detail was exceptional! I would recommend having your wedding there or staying there as we had the best experience. We corresponded mainly with Emanuela, the Reservations Manager and she was always pleasant and made every one of our wishes possible. I emailed her every single day for 6 months asking every question out there and she responded in a timely manner given the time difference and was always very helpful. I am so grateful for Emanuela as she is very accommodating and didn’t let us or our families worry about a single thing to the point I didn’t need to hire an event coordinator. She took the time to meet up with us and the photographers a few days before the wedding to discuss everything and she even had a back up plan in case of any rain. Emanuela and her staff took care of it all from answering every annoying question, ordering our limoncello wedding favors, tying my thank you notes to limoncello bottles, setting the table, arranging the cake order, corresponding with the sommelier and chef, setting up the ceremony and all the additional nitty gritty details. She is a person who genuinely cares and I will forever have a lovely memory of Emanuela and Palazzo Avino. The ceremony was on a beautiful private terrace with a stunning view of the sea and mountains. Our reception dinner was at their Michelin restaurant with a great view as well and the food was wonderful along with the wine they chose to pair with our menu. The service was superb as they always came by to check in and fill our water and wine glasses. There was beautiful live music at the restaurant and they were able to play our first dance song which was a sweet surprise. We also stayed the night and had the best experience as the room was filled with thoughtful details that we kept as memorabilia’s. Very clean room and comfortable bed. The property is beautiful and has two pool areas both with breathtaking view of the sea and lush mountains. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque! Breakfast was also phenomenal and service at the property was overall best we ever experienced. They are happy to arrange any taxi or let you use the pool even if you are already checked out. Location is the best part because Ravello is tucked away from the Amalfi center madness so it is very quiet and romantic. It also very lush and surrounded by flowers. We recommend Palazzo 1000 times and if you don’t choose to get married there at least stay the night or have dinner at their restaurant once. Of note, May is a perfect time to travel there as it is still very warm (not too hot) and isn’t peak season for tourists. Thank you Palazzo Avino for everything you provided us! We are so thankful!
