What an amazing place! We had the best time staying in Outrigger! From start to finish when they met us at the airport to when we went home- the staff were so attentive! We booked through Kuoni and they didn’t disappoint! When we got off the speedboat at Maafushivaru- it literally was like stepping into paradise! Every need was met. Kim our host was absolutely great checking everyday that we were ok and even organised all our restaurant bookings for the two weeks! The food was incredible and beforehand we’d always have a cocktail and lots of cashew nuts provided by Aminul Islam who was brilliant at looking after us and so welcoming. In fact all the staff were amazingly friendly. We couldn’t fault them. Our beach villa was so comfy- it had everything you’d need including a tv!!! The fridge was filled everyday with snacks and drinks and always clean and fresh when we returned. Apparently the resort was full when we stayed but you’d never have known. There was such peace and tranquility. I could go on but……. Until next year!!! Such a wonderful holiday never to be forgotten! Thank you to the staff on this beautiful island! Xxxxx

This is truly a perfect resort, look no further and book now. Despite it being small, there are still 3 different restaurants (4 if you count the buffet, 5 if you count the lunch spot) and one of them has both an alacart Japanese and a teppanyaki option so it's really 6 in total, which is pretty crazy for a resort this size. And all the food/drinks are excellent. The service is impeccable, and big shout out to our host/butler Moosa- whatever you want, he will make it happen. Give this man a raise.

We stayed at this resort for 5 nights after spending 9 nights in Sri Lanka. We flew into the airport from Colombo and were met but an outrigger staff member who was extremely friendly and helped us navigate through the system to get to the seaplane terminal which is a short bus ride away. We were lucky we only had a short wait for our seaplane transfer. Once we landed at Outrigger we were transferred to a boat and ferried across from the landing platform to the island where we received a warm welcome from the Outrigger team. Our butler showed us to our room and while we were on route pointed out all the relevant spaces and explained how things worked. Our room was water villa 205 which was on the sunrise side and had a view of the main beach. The room was spacious and well presented with a comfy bed, well appointed bathroom and plenty of storage with a terrace overlooking the water. The only things that could be improved in the room were the shower door leaked water, the pillows were very soft (management should look into having a pillow menu) and the main issue was the noisy air con. Fairly small issues, other than the air con if you are a light sleeper. The island is very small, you can walk around it in 10 minutes but it really is beautiful and very well maintained. There is a house reef and we saw lots of black tipped reef shark amongst other marine life. The restaurants and bar are all excellent, great food and cocktails are available. Moodhu grill was my favourite as it was over the water and offered lots of seafood and curry. Artisan felt a bit more fine dining and looked over the beach. Koto was on the sunset side of the island and was Japanese style, it was very nice but I couldn’t help feel the location was wrong. My suggestion would be to move it nearer to the other restaurants and use the building as an additional bar offering sundowners, to make the most of the sunset. We didn’t eat in the buffet in the evening but if we return for longer we will. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Lunch is served in the beach bar area, if you are all inclusive you can have one light bite, one main and one dessert. We aren’t big eaters at lunch so would have liked to have skipped the main and dessert and had a couple of light bites each but this wasn’t allowed- something for management to consider for the future as it would save the resort money and reduce waste. The service was second to none and the staff really do go above and beyond. We would love to return in the future, this resort exceeded our expectations.

We are Maldives veterans, 10+ islands over the years. For me, I would not rate this quite as highly as some others. This was by no means a large resort but it was not as small as some we have experienced previously. But it was large enough to attract groups - during our stay we had groups that seemed to be some sort of religious sect and another group of teenage Orientals who monopolised the games area and generally disturbed the peace. The restaurants were all excellent - particularly the core buffet restaurant where you really could have a different meal every night without being bored! The over water villa was great (although not as large as some others we have had). The gardeners kept the place absolutely immaculate - almost too immaculate! We actually found the island was almost too organised, particularly when it came to meals. We had booked a couple of restaurants in advance as there was a birthday to celebrate, but when we arrived we found all our evening meals had been booked for us. So no spontaneity allowed! And we never did have our free sunset cruise because it was windy the day we were due to go and they only ran that once a week, no flexibility. So, all a little too inflexible and regimented which spoilt the free and easy nature of a place like this. We went out to see on the dolphin watch which was great as the other people who booked didn't show so we had the boat to ourselves. But we were put off other excursions by the incredibly high prices. Staff were very friendly and seemed to know all their guest names which was impressive.

From the minute you step off the seaplane you are speed boated to paradise. This is our sixth visit to the Maldives all to different resorts, but we won’t be going anywhere else anymore. This small island is a paradise with 5 star service and quality. It has a very intimate feel, but yet every thing is still on hand. The choice of dining is vast, and quality of food amazing. Great water-sports and spa services all available. Rooms are first class and spotless, the sunset water pool villa are off the scale. I hope I remember to thank everyone who made us feel so welcome, however special thanks to: Ali the best smelling food and beverage director ever. Joy, Mizy, Victoria, stafe, shinaz, aslif, rizan, naseed,to name just a few…..sorry for those missed because everyone deserves a mention. Sebu, Zack, Ali and Franca at water-sports too. It was our first visit to The Maldives. The Outrigger Resort was amazing. Everything was perfect. We could climb down the steps from our overwater villa and be at the reef drop off with minutes. We snorkelled every morning and afternoon and saw something different each time. Climbed back up to the villa and jumped in the pool. The sunsets were fantastic most days. So much choice with the food. Always fresh and delicious. The staff went out of there way to make you feel welcome. Even the maintenance crew and the gardeners smiled and said hello in passing. Our favourite staff member was Dimitri. He’s such a positive, happy person and does a magnificent job in allowing you to only have to think about what you’re going to eat, drink, rest or snorkel. So difficult. 😂 If you can afford to take a holiday here, go or start saving. We’ll definitely be back!

I paid for my stay at the resort with my own funds, and this review reflects my own experience at the resort, without any influence from the resort or its staff. # 1 MINUTE SUMMARY # Number of Maldives resorts I have stayed before staying at OMMR : 3 To reach resort : 25 minute seaplane from Male seaplane terminal Villa type : Sunset Overwater Villa with Hot Tub (located outdoor) Hot Tub size : can comfortably fit 3 adults Villa room number : 222 Number of nights : 5 Dining package : Dine Around All-Inclusive Villa room location : at the outermost tip of the overwater villa jetty Villa orientation : faces west View from the villa towards the sea : uninterrupted view of the ocean, no wave breaker structure in view, cannot see neighbouring villas, no nearby island to be seen Room : feels new, well maintained, spotlessly clean and fresh Sea condition at the villa : crystal clear water with fine sand, on which you can stand bare feet on the sand. Wave current strength varies from calm to moderate and slightly choppy when wind comes from the western side Peaceful vibe at villa : very quiet and peaceful, no sound from hotel buggy travelling on the wooden jetty Restaurants : a highlight of the resort, with 5-star dining quality restaurants (3 restaurants), 1 main buffet, 1 casual dining and 1 cafe. That provides a lot of choice but also a lot of reviews to read through when trying to find some of THE best resorts. I am writing this review to help you choose some of THE BEST resorts in the Maldives, when considering the quality of the resort and the price paid for the stay. My review of Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort ("OMMR") is written to highlight its point of difference features, to help you decide whether OMMR appeals to you. On this note, I will provide greater detail on the point of difference features of the resort. 1. FOOD & DRINKS Amazing quality and presentation of food and drinks in all restaurants. You will NOT be bored with the large selection of fine food available at the resort. a. Cuisine Gallery (main buffet) The food at a resort's main buffet can either downgrade or elevate the stay experience at the resort. Food at the resort is of the highest quality. All pastry made fresh at the resort, to high quality. Large variety of high quality buffet options. Dedicated air-conditioned room for cheese and dessert! b. Edgewater (lunch a la carte) Huge number of high quality options to choose from. This is not a simple cafe for lunch, but a true casual dining restaurant by the pool side. Each entree, main and dessert is meticulously prepared and presented. Fresh ingredients. You will be struggling to finish all of your entree, main and dessert due to the generous high quality portions. c. Koffee 'n Chill Casual cafe for coffee serving ice cream, coffee and pastry. d. Moodhu Grill 5-star quality dining serving meat and seafood on the grill. Amazing ambience, and you can book the private overwater dining platform. e. Art-I-San Wow, wow, wow! Michelin Star reviewer, you need to come down here to review this restaurant! The ambience is that of a fine dining 5 star restaurant. If you would like to dress up for dinner, you will certainly feel the restaurant rises to the occasion. Excellent fine entree, main and dessert. Generous portions of high quality, beautifully presented food and drinks. f. Koto Lovely and authentic tasting Japanese restaurant. TIPS for restaurants : (i) Each of the 3 specialised restaurants (Moodhu Grill, Art-I-San, Koto) is closed for dinner one night a week. Check the closure nights for each of the 3 specialised restaurants to avoid missing out dining there. (ii) Book the restaurants early to ensure a table confirmation. At the very least, try each of the 3 specialised restaurants (Moodhu Grill, Art-I-San, Koto). (iii) Koto has teppanyaki option. I haven't tried it but I would definitely try it next time I am back. 2. VILLA ROOM and GENERAL FACILITIES The entire resort was acquired by Outrigger and refurbished in April 2022. The resort and rooms feel new, as it is highly maintained. Everything works well at the resort, and there are no annoying items encountered. The resort works hard to ensure you have a truly enjoyable time. For example: (i) our overwater villa has an outdoor shower located just above the steps to the water. Whilst the sea water in Maldives is already warm, having the WARM shower outdoors is definitely a nice feeling coming out of the sea! (ii) in room slippers are of a plush and high quality, and not of the tissue paper thin type. Yes, you may say this is not essential, but it demonstrates the attention to detail Outrigger gives to all aspects of its guest experience. 3. NAVASANA SPA We had a 60 minute massage for two in a couple massage room. Excellent relaxing massage from authentic Balinese masseuses SUKHANTI and YULIA. 4. SUNSET CRUISE Very relaxing sunset cruise which ventures quite a distance from the resort, to give the feel of a true cruise, instead of just around the resort island. Alcoholic drinks are served on board. The ambience was so relaxing that we both had a mini-nap on the upper deck! 5. SNORKELLING GEAR We used the high quality free mask, snorkel and fins during our stay. Excellent house reef located at the arrival jetty, so you don't have to swim far to reach the house reef. 6. STAFF of Outrigger Maldives Maafushi Resort All the staff at the resort are warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. The staff I mention below are those who we interacted personally, but our gratitude extends to all the OMMR team. A special mention of the resort manager Monsieur Guillaume, who has led the OMMR team since its opening in April 2022. An amazingly enjoyable high quality resort such as the Outrigger Maldives Maafushi Resort does not happen by luck, but by the excellent leadership of its manager. Monsieur Guillaume has been able to combine the often tricky balance between fulfilling the resort's financial and operational goals and ensuring the happiness and fun factor of the staff, which ultimately leads to a wonderful and genuinely caring customer service for the guests at OMMR. Always ready to help us with anything we needed assistance with, prompt to reply our whatsapp messages and never intrusive. CHANDANA, SAALIM (thank you for the special Sri Lankan sambal chilli), YULI (a smile that brightens the room!), Staff at Koto restaurant : ALHAAN Staff at Art-I-San : RIZAN IT staff who helped me with adjusting settings in my laptop to get the highest download speeds! : MAHESWARAN. You are an IT genius! Beautiful setting for this incredibly well-run resort. However, I am torn about giving it top marks. I had real problems sleeping in our over-water villa. The in-room air con system was quite noisy (despite the hotel engineer looking at it) it was the noisiest air-con system of the 8 resorts we stayed in during our Indian Ocean tour. Plus, and no fault of the hotel at all, it was quite windy during our stay and the waves were hitting the underneath pillars. So my sleep was really poor unfortunately. I suggest if you are a light sleeper like me that you consider bringing some earplugs. Other very minor issues for management to consider: The outdoor pool filming policy needs reviewing. We noticed a young couple setting up a tripod and camera, and filming the outdoor pool for 20 minutes on our final afternoon, this put us off using the pool (I don’t want to be video’d by strangers using the pool, personally I find it a bit intrusive). Yet management said there was nothing they can do to ask the guests to stop videoing as it’s allowed. The on-island shop was very limited in stocks of toiletries, there are nappies and shaving foam but there was no deodorant or insect repellant on sale, so bring plenty. Some of the boardwalks are quite weather-worn (many areas are new and are being replaced) and there is the risk of splinters, - I recommend wearing flip flops or footwear when walking on the timber boards. The good points: Everything else really! The room we stayed in (despite the air con) was beautifully presented and the large bed was comfy. There was ample storage and lots of three-pin power points. The veiw of the sea was stunning. The resort is small and intimate. It feels private - there were always sun loungers available on the beach or around the outdoor pool area. The beach is beautiful (white sand) and kept so clean. The sea is crystal clear and has lots of fish most especially around the outer edges of the reef including small black-tipped reef shark. The restaurants were very good and the choice of food is excellent. The buffet breakfast has such a wide choice of options including a chef to cook eggs your way. Service all round is absolutely first class 👏🏼 The team of staff including the gardeners and grounds maintenance work so hard and with a smile. A special shout-out to staff member “Joy”. Joy is so helpful, friendly and professional. The resort toilets by the bar and by the Fitness centre are kept spotlessly clean and are very modern. The drinks selection including cocktails and mocktails is excellent. The staff make a mean espresso martini and mojito. Also try the virgin pina colada. There is a small games area to keep children occupied including a small pitch & putt (crazy golf) 9 hole course which we played and was good fun. There is also a silent outdoor cinema (headphones provided) which shows movies. The resort general manager puts himself around so if you need to talk to him, he is available and very approachable. The resort also uses WhatsApp so you can contact your island staff representative directly. In summary, I’m a light sleeper and I had some issues with sleep, but setting that to one side this small premium resort is fantastic. It looks and feels like an exclusive world-class island resort and the service is absolutely on point to make you feel like royalty. I would highly recommend this wonderful Maldives resort.

We (my wife and I) visited Outrigger for 9 days in early February this year and we could not have had a more wonderful experience. The island, its facilities and as many other reviews have stated, its team make this a wonderful place to visit. Overall the words that sum it up for me are relaxed, high quality, friendly and great staff/team. We stayed in a Beach Villa with Pool, and having previously visited another island in the Maldives, and got the overwater stay bug out of our system, we really enjoyed the chance to walk out of our villa, past our pool and onto the beach and into the sea, that in itself is magical and the added bonus of being able to sit on the shore and watch fish swim past your feet will live long on the memory. The resort is great from the moment you step onto the jetty and are met by the team to the (sad) point you leave from the jetty for your return seaplane ride to Male. It is a relaxed resort, which allows you to step back and relax, but that is not at the expense of it being top quality - it is really about the balance that they maintain. The restaurants are all great and dependent on your personal preferences all tastes can be catered for, we ate in all of them , our personal favourite was the Moodhu Grill and its really good Indian grill options. My only advise would be to speak with your host on arrival or even email prior to your stay to get the team to pre book some restaurants for you in the evening as they are all really popular, no one chases you from your table so you have the whole evening, should you wish at the place of your choice. Our villa was perfect, cleaned twice a day to a great standard and with the bar and other elements always fully stocked. Special shout out to the team at the Koffee shop, a great idea and a great team, a really relaxed place to go each day to sit, relax, eat ice cream , chat etc The large infinity pool is where people gather for lunch and its a great time to pull yourself away from your own pool/villa to eat and chat with other guests, and afternoon around that pool is a really relaxing time. We used the spa for couples treatments on a couple of occasions and on both occasions the experience was great, unlike some others, you did not feel that they were working to a set time and the pre and post treatment opportunity to relax and look out over the ocean was great. I did just want to give a special shout out to Shiraz and Esina at the Pool Bar and Joy at the Moodhu Grill and the Bar, who went above and beyond to make our stay great and to Jonah our host who made sure , in an unobtrusive and relaxed way that our stay went without a hitch and we had wonderful time. I read many reviews on various islands before we decided to say at Outrigger and it is always a bit of a leap of faith when you choose a holiday location as you can never tell if reviewers views on a resort will be the same as yours, in this case, the reviews ARE RIGHT, this place is a real find, and we would love to be able to visit again.

It is such a beautiful island, matched by the comforts inside our over water villa with pool. The food was fantastic in all the restaurants and bar, the gardens are so lush and green and the sea is such a lovely azure blue. Words cannot describe the beauty of what you wake up to every morning, not to mention the warm sun! Outrigger did a fantastic job of welcoming us at Male airport, taking our suitcases and ensuring we were helped with every step of the way getting onto the seaplane for the 25 minute flight to the island, where we were warmly welcomed and then reunited with our suitcases in our room. We were greeted by our host, who was to look after us during our stay. Outrigger do a fantastic job of preparing before we arrived on the island as each host knew exactly which couple they were to look after (by face) and were able to walk up to us and use our first names. This was a sign of things to come as even the waitresses knew our names. I thought that was a pretty nice touch! Dmitrii had the task of looking after us, he was such a fun, enthusiastic and energetic chap (a man of many hidden talents once you got to know him). He showed us around and explained a few things and then let us relax after our overnight night. And what a place to relax!! What ever question or concern we threw at Dmitrii, he very efficiently and effectively resolved, and ensured us that our 100% satisfaction is his goal. This is such a idilic location and comfortable resort it’s difficult to imagine you could find something that surpasses it. But there is!!! The staff. They are all such lovely, friendly people who go out of their way to ensure the guests have the best experience possible. We so enjoyed their company, chatting with them like friends not staff. I enjoyed sampling the “different” cocktails the bartenders crafted for me!! Every man and woman who worked on the island seemed genuinely enthused to ensure we had the best time we could. The return trip to the airport was equally as painless as the arrival one, thanks to the Outrigger team ( and Kuoni reps at airport). It’s a lovely resort, comfortable and very clean made even better by the people there. I’ll remember the scenery but treasure the memories of the people, they really are a true asset

We travelled to Outrigger for our Honeymoon. This is a beautiful island with a fantastic reef and amazing service. There was not a single element that wasn't how we wished. and our every need was taken care of superbly by our personal concierge Kim. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. I appreciate nice accommodation and we split our stay between a beach villa with pool and a sunset overwater villa with pool. Both were fabulous, but for us, we really loved watching the fish beneath the villa. We were there in May/June and the monsoon transition arrived - resulting in stormy seas, high winds and a fair bit of rain. Do not let this put you off- we loved watching the storms and the wild nature of the tropics. And although the water villas can feel a bit unsteady/noisy in the winds, we loved it and they were perfectly stable! We still had plenty of sunshine during our 10 night stay. For us, the stand out element (beyond the service) was the food and drink. We opted for the dine around all inclusive - and although not massive drinkers, we loved the cocktail options and the sparkling rose was lovely. Sushi was fabulous and all included in the plan. We did take advantage of the spa and booked in for massages. These were so good we booked in again a second time. I thought they were very reasonably priced too. The staff are like a big family and you can see the genuine friendships and humour. I loved that they invited you in to be part of their family during the stay and so you leave feeling like you are leaving friends behind. We will definitely return!

The exceptional care and attention to detail started on arrival, through to final Security on departure. We stayed in an over-water villa with pool and it is highly recommended: the pool is a definite advantage. We stayed in Room 332, at the end of the jetty and whilst not advertised as a 'sunset room', it most certainly had a fabulous view of the beautiful sunsets. The villa is beautifully appointed and cleverly designed. In common with all of the resort, the villa is kept in first class condition. The daily room cleaning and the downturn service are faultless and attentive. The easy access to the ocean is a great advantage and the water is crystal clear and a perfect temperature, although the depth can vary through the day and we found it calmer (less breeze) in a morning; but afternoons are hardly tricky at all, simply our preference. A massive and surprising advantage: there were no flies or mozzies anywhere! The entire Outrigger team is fabulous. They have a clever use of first names, that are remembered. (They clearly circulate a snap of you taken at the airport!) The take-away memory is that all of the 200 staff in the resort smile constantly! But they all genuinely cared and with a maximum of some 170 guests, the team is plentiful to provide the first class service. Our dedicated 'Host' was Moosa and nothing was too much trouble for him. He set up a WhatsApp group for us and him when we arrived and anything we needed or enquiry we had was responded to without delay. The beaches are picture perfect: they are raked constantly (as are the paths throughout the resort) and the sand is white, so fine it is more like a soft paste or flour. We had 'Dine All Around' (basically fully inclusive) and it is certainly far better value than 'pay as you go' unless all you want are the Sommelier wines. When we arrived our Host, Moosa, had pre-booked all of our dinner reservations and, whilst we could have asked for changes, these proved well planned. (We overheard some guests not being able to reserve the restaurant they wanted by attempting the book on the day.) The restaurants are sensational. The Executive Chef, Chris Long, has done a fine job of ensuring that each has its defined menu and theme whilst maintaining a consistency of excellence. All food we had was excellent: food quality, dish variety, product freshness, presentation and above all, taste and preparation. We were never disappointed. At breakfast, we resolved to eat a different breakfast each day and none disappointed, even my Sri Lankan curry! The drinks and cocktails on offer were also excellent. There is a great variety, with excellent labels and unexpectedly good World wines. We booked the private island, Lonubo, for a sunset BBQ. It was about $2,000 for the two of us (including 10% service and 16% tax.) It was stunningly good value. The five hours, start to finish, were magnificent. We were made to feel very special, from the moment we went to the speedboat to take us across. Moosa was there, in the background, to deal with anything we might ask; the waiter, Milo, was attentive but 'in the background'; and our dedicated chef prepared a meal that was faultless. The whole experience, with our chosen champagne on sunbeds at sunset and each course with our selected wines, will forever be cherished. We spent a week relaxing with easy swimming but there are some activities: all snorkling gear is available, with kayaks and other watersports; there is yoga and an impressive spa; a sunset cruise; shark and ray watching trips; and PADI diving. A final tip: we took the first seaplane in the morning to catch a 9am flight from Malé. It made for an early start but minimised the chance of delay later in the day due to weather and the possibility of missing the connection. This was a dream holiday. And for that, it was good value.

For our honeymoon at the end of February, we wanted to find the perfect Maldivian island and spent a lot of time researching. We love diving and snorkeling, and it was important to us to visit a location where encounters with whale sharks and manta rays are possible all year round. This is only the case in very specific atolls in the Maldives and Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru offers fantastic excursions for exactly that. The resort also has its own house reef, which makes it even more appealing. What stood out to us was the intimate size of the island, creating an exclusive and relaxed atmosphere while still offering plenty of activities. The boho-chic design and the unique architecture of the buildings give the island a stylish yet natural look, which we love. It seems to offer the perfect balance between luxury, adventure, and tranquility. Another highlight for us is the dining experience. We love good food and Outrigger offers not only a buffet restaurant but also three à la carte restaurants, each with its own unique design and culinary experience. Moodhu Grill, for example, features intimate overwater dining platforms, creating a truly special atmosphere. We can't wait to try them all! Even before our arrival, the service has been outstanding. We had a few questions, and Hussain Waleed responded within just a few hours with detailed and helpful answers. This gave us a great first impression and reinforced our confidence in the resort’s professionalism. We will be staying in both an Overwater Pool Villa and a Beach Pool Villa and cannot wait to explore this beautiful island and its underwater world. We are already so impressed that we wanted to share our experience even before our stay – and of course, we will update our review after our honeymoon!

If I could score the Outrigger 6 stars instead of 5 then I would. It is a beautiful resort, and every positive and glowing comment on TripAdvisor is well-deserved. Such a lovely location, such friendly staff, such beautiful rooms, and such amazing food. Best curries I have every had in my entire life are served daily in the Cuisine Gallery buffet. But it is much more than that, it is a buffet serving the most impressive range of international cuisine, with an ever changing selection of delicious food. We were half-board and also visited Art-I-San restaurant for a lovely meal on one night. I guarantee that on half-board you will never be hungry. We spent 3 nights in a water-villa-with-pool and 4 nights in a beach-villa-with-pool. I think variety this suited us very well. The whole resort has a sophisticated but unpretentious luxury feel, and is successfully casual with it, creating a very relaxed vibe everywhere you go. There's a great pool (in reality it is bigger than it looks on hotel photographs I think) amazing snorkelling right "on your doorstep" so to speak, a good gym, and all staff, without exception, are so friendly they make your stay a really personal affair. We've just returned from Outrigger Maafushivaru and can only say one thing - WOW!! A beautiful resort with stunning beach, fabulous accommodation, superb food and, most of all the most helpful, friendly and attentive staff we have ever had the pleasure to meet. We were most impressed with the quality, presentation, choice and great taste of the food at all the restaurants. We enjoyed having a choice of 3 a la carte restaurants, plus the main buffet restaurant, all serving the freshest, most delicious food. An additional outlet was a lovely coffee bar offering a wide choice of coffees, smoothies, ice cream and delicious pastries. Service at all of them was simply superb. Choice of wine, cocktails and all other drinks was excellent too. All staff went above and beyond, but Su, Vialli, Joy, Victoria and Milo aka Mr Awesome were stand out for us in their approach, friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism. An absolute credit to the resort and a large part of why we enjoyed our holiday so much. We were very much made to feel like part of an extended family. We opted to stay in a beach villa as this is our personal choice over a water villa. It was nicely appointed and incredibly comfortable. Bathroom was excellent and it was very private with a beautiful deck area with direct access to the beach. An amazingly relaxing space. It was also spotlessly clean and we couldn't have been more happy having Saeed look after our room. He did an absolutely excellent job so a huge thank you to him. What we really liked about the resort was that although there were 120 guests on the island when we arrived there was such a great sense of space, mainly due to the beautiful, long, wide beaches and choice of dining venues. This isn't always the case on other islands we have stayed on where beach erosion has been a real problem. It all just felt so incredibly relaxing and private. There is a fully equipped gym with the most fantastic ocean views and a daily programme of activities and excursions. We did a lot of snorkelling and saw so much including reef sharks and on one occasion 2 eagle rays. My husband dived with the Coral Dive Centre and was blown away by all his dives and the professionalism of all the dive staff and boat crew. The manager, Guillaume, was very much in evidence, engaging with guests every night checking that they were enjoying themselves. This, to us, spoke volumes as to how the resort valued their guests. We have been holidaying in the Maldives for 30 years now and have stayed at so many resorts. We rank Outrigger as one of the best in terms of value, service, quality and presentation of food, choice of restaurants and above all, the friendliest, most attentive, wonderful staff we have ever come across. We also noticed that they had many returning guests, which speaks volumes. We never go back to the same island, but are making an exception as we are hoping to return to Outrigger next year. Need I say more!! Once again, a huge thank you to everyone at Outrigger. You're simply the best!

Everything is well-equipped and completely treated.
