Ocean Maya Royale

There were a couple of issues with our room but our concierge Leidy was very helpful and quick to get the issues fixed. The food was delicious and all the staff was very polite and accommodating. The resort was well maintained and clean. Dolce Vita resteraunt had a lovely ocean breeze and beautiful view of the water. The sports bar was a bit disappointing and the service there could've been better. But Tiger at the Lobby bar was grrrrreat!!! Would recommend for a relaxing week away 🙂

The resort sparkles for a mature resort. As an adults only resort, we experienced all the relaxation and comfort that surpasses all expectations. The property is maintained continuously and we enjoyed the resident wildlife which is entertaining. The rooms are comfortable and we enjoy the compact layout of the property. The menus and food quality continues to improve each visit. The beach is beautiful and clean with continuous care. The staff is exceptional from check-in to check-out, accommodating any special needs. Special thanks to Juan our Butler, Gabrielle in reception, Alfredo our waiter, Sandi, and Herbert (Tiger) and many others for the most enjoyable stay. Looking forward to our next stay.

This was my third visit to the resort, and each time it just keeps getting better. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and truly enjoyable. A big thank-you to Roberto and Enrique at Guest Services for a smooth check-in and check-out, and especially to Gabriela for helping us secure our à la carte reservations—greatly appreciated! Herbert and Jorge at the Lobby Bar were fantastic and made every visit special by remembering my non-alcoholic chaya mojito. Vicente and Rosaisela at La Hacienda Buffet were attentive, and the food offered plenty of fresh and healthy options. At Blue Moon, Isai and Hilda provided excellent service and the food was exquisite. Grecia at Dolce Vita welcomed us warmly, while Alberto and Clara made the experience even better—the lamb chops were outstanding. At El Charro, Selene’s service was wonderful, and the molcajete and churros were delicious. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with a clean beach, refreshing pools, and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. The staff throughout are friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the entertainment, especially the silent party, fire show, and beach party. The live saxophonist on the beach and guitarist in the lobby were exceptional. A peaceful 20-minute walk to Tres Ríos, where the rivers meet the sea, was another highlight. Overall, the staff, food, and atmosphere made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommended—we will definitely be back!

My wife and I enjoyed our two weeks at this resort. The resort’s grounds are very well laid out, with lots of space and with a nice beach. The staff work hard on keeping everything clean and on the general maintenance. All the staff are very friendly and happy to help. It was great to see all the wildlife wandering around the resort. This resort has two pools, a smaller pool which is the noisier and where a lot of the entertainment is based and a larger quiet pool. We spent most of our time around the large pool or on the excellent beach. The food is good but nothing special. As well as a main buffet restaurant the resort has four other al a carte restaurants, available for all guests. Apart from the Japanese restaurant which involves having to queue up to book they work on a turn up and get a table system which means there may be a short wait which is not a problem as you can get a drink whilst you wait. it is a bit disappointing that one or more of these restaurants are closed some evenings. We also felt that the evening entertainment was not the greatest and on a couple of wet evenings when the entertainment couldn't take place outdoors there did not seem to be a "plan B". However the minus points are greatly outweighed by the positive and we'd recommend The Ocean Maya Royale.

A delightful experience from end to end. The resort is beautiful, calm, quiet and restful. Very clean and organized. The entertainment is fun and not too loud if you don’t want to participate. It’s quiet enough to allow napping in the afternoon. The resort is LGBTQA+ friendly and feels very safe. There are safes in the room that work, but we didn’t feel we needed them. The staff are kind, attentive and friendly. They appreciate tips but don’t solicit them. The food is amazing, though I can’t recommend this place for vegans. The rooms are comfortable with balconies, heated water and a full bar fridge. The beds are great. The AC works perfectly. Accommodations for disabled people are possible but require effort to arrange in advance. If you can’t get into the pool on your own you may prefer to go somewhere else. The whole area is just gorgeous, with wildlife that look comfortable and clearly feel safe around humans. The only slight drawback is the amount of seaweed on the beach, which persists despite the resort’s efforts. But the pool makes up for it. We definitely have plans to return.

We visited Ocean Maya Royale for 1 week, we have had the most amazing time the weather apart from one afternoon of rain has been amazing, the beach is beautiful and so are the people, the locals here really make your stay feel that extra bit special, they are super friendly and go above and beyond to meet your every need, a big shout out to our wonderful waiter Carlos in the main restaurant who helped us the learn the local language and tended to us each night we visited. We will definitely be back in the future but will stay for longer this time!

Had a great time! Must give a big shout out to Leidy our butler, she was amazing and took great care of us. Octavio and Jorge at the lobby bar, always smiling and doing a wonderful job. Food at the resort was very good with a lot of gluten free options (could always use more). This made my wife extremely happy and at ease due to her dietary restrictions. I believe there is something for everyone at this resort no matter your age. We will be returning again, definitely! Stayed March 30th till April 6th
