My 4 days and 3 nights were well spent. The security was very pleasant. The front desk representative was very helpful and friendly while I was being checked-in. Celia the manager just her bright smile lightened up the atmosphere. The bell man Kemroy was very informative and helpful. One day I went to front desk and Monique assisted me with booking a reservation for the Japanese restaurant. I’d definitely book again. Oh how can I forget, our room was upgraded to privilege. Mannnnn that room was to die for and my decoration was exceptional. Keven greeted us with a warm smile.

We had an excellent vacation. The reviews had us worried but we had a lovely time. This was our first time to Jamaica but we have been going south (Cuba, Dominican and Mexico) every year for the last 10+ years staying primarily at 5 star resorts and we know that they all have their highlights and areas of weakness. From check in to check out the staff at the resort was friendly and accommodating. The adults only beach was filled almost every day before 7am and chairs filled up by 9am (not an issue for us as we are up and around early anyway). As members of the adults only side you can use the "everyone" side as well so we spent most days at that beach. There were cabanas available there until afternoon and not many kids at the beach anyway. For either side, definitely bring water shoes to walk over the coral/rocky shore. Most areas are shallow but there are depths in areas around 4ft. This resort was the most consistent with beach and poolside drink service out of any we have been to. We had the buffet every morning for breakfast, Mike's coffee right after, jerk hut for lunch usually (so good) and for supper we tried some of the a la carts. I highly recommend La Laconda (reservation required) but they were all very good! The room service cheese sticks are actually mozza sticks but not the same kind as La Laconda has (best ever). Many people have mentioned "rude staff" and that is just not true. Just smile and be kind, it goes a lot farther than tops in Jamaica. Tips will get you anything in some of the other countries but you have to be kind and polite to get good service in Jamaica and I respect it! Thanks for a great stay! We would book again on a heartbeat.

Disappointing Stay – Repeated Key Card Issues & Poor Front Desk Service Our stay at Ocean Eden was frustrating and disappointing. From day one, our key card didn’t work, forcing us to walk nearly a quarter of a mile four times between our room and the lobby for reprogramming. On the second day, we paid for an upgraded room, waited hours for a new assignment, and still had the same key card issue. After another long trip to the lobby, the door still wouldn’t open. A housekeeper let us in only after we identified items inside—an alarming security practice. Hoping for a fix, we reported it before our excursion, but when we returned, wet and exhausted, it still wasn’t working. After wasting hours dealing with access issues, we were moved to a third room and given an $80 refund—far from adequate. To make things worse, the TVs in all three rooms didn’t work, displaying an “antenna disconnected” message. The only positives were the food, entertainment team, and service staff outside the front desk, who were friendly and helpful. However, the resort’s poor maintenance, lack of accountability, and slow problem resolution ruined our experience. We saved for months, expecting a smooth vacation, but instead, we spent too much time just trying to enter rooms we paid for. I wouldn’t return and regret choosing this resort over others.

We just returned home from a one week stay and I would give the resort a low 3 rating. The view of the pool to the beach is absolutely spot on, when you walk through the lobby and out onto the patio area you are higher than the pool and the view is stunning, they did a great job with this. It looks just as they advertise. The rooms are large, they are neither spectacular nor are they horrible. We were on the ground floor so we had no view There is not enough chairs and it is a daily hunt for beach chairs, we ended up getting upgraded to Privilege and never once were we able to take use of the Privilege area by the pool because there just was never any lounger or cabanas left. We knew this from reviews prior to heading down there as many many many people speak about it. There is plenty of room for more chairs both on the pool deck and on the beach. It is also up to the guests to not save chairs at both the beach and pool we saw people saving chairs and never using them at all. The food in the buffet restaurants was pretty good, we had pizza, ribs, jerk chicken, they were pretty well stocked. The buffets lacked fresh fruit and vegetables, I was quite surprised by this, my prior experience with travelling to the Caribbean was savoring the fresh fruit and vegetables. Thank goodness for the coffee shop as well where you could get good coffee because the buffet coffee was horrible. There is a little jerk chicken shack on the beach on the Coral Springs side and that was very good as well, not too spicy at all, which was not what was expected but you could add sauce if you wanted it a little spicier but I expected it to be spicier than it actually was. Service at the bars around the resort was generally very slow, but we were on vacation and not a time schedule so wasn't a huge deal. Shout out here to Valentine the night manager who was fantastic. We had room access issues and Valentine responded quickly and professionally. He apologized and was sympathetic to our situation he also quickly escalated our situation to the GM, Georgette who responded very quickly. We were upgraded and moved rooms because they had to sort out the room issues and to comp us for our inconvenience. Along with the upgrade our dinner reservations were taken care of and we had daily check in's from Georgette, Valentine and Sweet Sweet Katia. Katia, Katie Kat we met on the first night we arrived before we had any room issues and she was so wonderfully sweet and we instantly fell in love with her. She took such good care of us the rest of our stay, she would always come find us on the resort to check up on us make sure we were good and ask if we needed anything and spend some time with us so we got to know each other very well. She is definitely one of the brightest diamonds in Jamaica. If I ever find myself in Montego Bay again I will with out a doubt want to see her. Thank you Katia you took such great care of us. Katia provided us with the contact info for a driver to take us off resort for some sight seeing. Orlando was our driver and he too was a sweetheart. We booked a 4 hr trip with him and happened to meet another couple that asked to join us and Orlando had no problem accommodating the other couple. He was a great guide, the vehicle was immaculate and he was a great driver and tour guide. Highly recommend Orlando for an off resort excursion. We also had Orlando take us to the airport on our departure day so we got to say our goodbyes to him. We spoke to several other guests who had room access issues of different types, Resort needs to get better at this. Several people in Privilege were not there because they paid for the upgrade they were upgraded because of issues with their rooms, not too good on the resort. The other shout out is for Captain Shawn, unfortunately I did not discover until the end of the trip that we could have the watersport captains take us on small catamaran trips for FREE as many times as we wanted. Captain Shawn was a sweetheart we chatted and got to know him and traded stories about Canada, the snow and living in Jamaica. He also said he was the captain of the boats that did the luminescence lagoon tour, he encouraged us to take this tour. We took him up on his suggestion and he made sure we would be on his boat. This is so worth doing, it is really neat to experience, Captain Shawn explained the phenomenon and gave us reassurances that there were not night predators in the water and we could feel comfortable and safe in the water at night. It was a memory of a lifetime for me and possibly the only time I will experience such an excursion. Our driver that picked us up and drove us to the dock was great as well I believe his name was Gary possibly Grant, apologies I can't remember but he gave us some history of Jamaica and some of the sites we saw on our way to the boat. Thank you If it were not for the staff Valentine, Georgette, Katia, Orlando, Captain Shawn my review would have been less than 3. Five star rating to our 5 angels as mentioned. This is definitely not a five star resort and has a long way to getting there, keep hiring great staff like you have and work on some of the other areas to improve. One last thing to add...the placement of the electronic door opener is so very inconvenient and such a weird design the electronic swipe pad should be above the door knob not below it. It is very awkward to have to use your wrist fob to open these doors, left me scratching my head as to why. Maybe they were meant for card swiping not wrist fobs?

The resort is absolutely amazing. The staff was top tier and Tiesha (Privilege Lounge), Samantha (front desk) and Tyrese (butler) were great! They only give you 2 wash clothes at a time but if you call the front desk and ask for more they bring them right to you.

Our stay had some highlights, but unfortunately, several issues impacted our experience. The entertainment was fantastic, and the resort itself was stunning. However, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we noticed hair on the chair (which was also stained), in the tub, and on our sheets. While we immediately notified housekeeping, and they did clean it, the overall cleanliness still didn't meet expectations. The restaurants were excellent, with a great variety of food. The buffet, while smaller, offered decent choices. However, I was shocked to find larvae in a guava fruit I was eating! After informing the staff, they removed the fruit but returned it the next day. My husband, assuming it was safe, took a piece, only to find more worms inside. Although we alerted the staff again, the guava continued to appear on the buffet. We also booked couple massages at the spa, and while I understand new staff members may need training, my experience was less than relaxing. My masseuse appeared to be a trainee, with a colleague whispering instructions to her throughout the session. Given the price of over $200 USD for the experience, I expected a more professional service. Despite these setbacks, we made the most of our vacation, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and fantastic entertainment. However, due to the numerous issues we encountered, I would not consider returning.

My husband and I attended this resort in December. We are frequent travelers and have been all over, and this is one of the worst places. Room - upon arrival had a dead reptile on our floor. Day 2 a cockroach had arrived overnight. Despite 2 calls to housekeeping and a visit to the front desk, dead items remained on floor until I picked them up myself. Rooms are dated, smell musty and it was extremely hard to regulate temperature. We had a swim out which was nice but we were in the building that got all the daytime sun. I feel sorry for swim out rooms at the opposite building who would have shade all day. Food - skip the "specialty" restaurants. We dined at the steakhouse, the italian and Route 66. The steakhouse our steaks were tough leather served with a matching leather lobster tail (for an upcharge) that we had to send back as they were inedible. At the Italian I had lasagna that was served full of grease from the unstrained hamburger...gross! At Route 66 I ordered soup that was not even luke warm. I watched my fries sit on the counter for 15 mins when we were the only ones in the restaurant. Not one meal was hot regardless of the restaurant. The hottest and best food you will get at this resort is in the buffet. The best food was at the privilege restaurant near the beach but even that was very salty and not that warm. Illness - I have never been so violently sick when travelling. That started on day 2. Privilege - skip it, it's a joke. You get nothing "better" than anyone else does. Even the service at the privilege area of the pool is non existent. If you like Captain Morgan, don't come here. If you like any type of whiskey, don't come here. You can only get Jamaican rum and one liquor they call whisky but resembles nothing of whiskey. Pool bar - they have the same entertainment at the pool day in and day out. It gets SO old after 7 days to hear the same jokes, see the same dances etc. If I hear the welcome song one more time I'll lose my mind. Literally everyone at the resort was in a thong, and I'm all for ladies doing their thing but then they proceed to SIT on the pool bar where drinks are being served. There should be a sign asking if anyone would like some HEP A added to their drinks!!! Staff - overall most staff were not very friendly which really surprised me as I would not have expected that in Jamaica. The friendliest staff on the resort are the bartenders in the main lobby, the pool bar near the beach and the privilege lounge. Private transfers - very expensive for what you get. Think we paid $300 for the 2 of us through Sunwing. I didn't expect to be crammed into a honda civic but the upside is we didn't have to stop at every resort along the way to ours. We did complain on day 3 or 4 and even that was a joke. Took us to sit for almost 2 hours in the lobby and had to go through at least 4 people. At one point, the lady we were talking to picked up the phone to call her "manager" which ended up being someone standing at the front desk 4 feet away from her. Honestly, we are not stupid. They were just hoping we would go away and they wouldn't have to do anything. This was how we spent our honeymoon. They finally and very reluctantly upgraded us to privilege which I was hoping would change the trip but it didn't. It is a complete exercise in getting more money out of guests. My first vacation where I actually called my travel agent and asked her to move us! I didn't even care about the money, I just wanted out of there. The only highlight of the resort is the size. Save yourself the hassle and stay elsewhere!

Our concierge Ian was the best on getting us reservations for the restaurants and helping us with the excursions. All in all definitely check them out

Our Butler on the 5th floor, building 3 (Ryan) made our stay worthwhile. He went out of his way to ensure we had what we needed and did all he could to make our vacation pleasant. He stayed late and did things that were not required or expected of him. If it wasn't for his kindness, professionalism, and drive to keep us happy, we would surely not have enjoyed our stay. Because of Ryan, we did. He went the extra mile for us!

This resort and trip overall was incredible for a couple of tired parents looking to get away. Our butler, Daniel (also known as Dan the man) was incredibly attentive from check in to check out. He went above and beyond for my husband’s 40th birthday with a cake, room decor, and a lobster dinner for each of us! I highly recommend upgrading to privilege status and utilizing the privilege section at the pool. Miss Shanice was an absolute delight who took such good care of us during our pool days. Huge shout out to Shanice for everything. We spent a lot of time by the pool and at the pool bar where Andre and Nesh killed it day in and day out, slingin drinks for all the little fish bellied up to the bar. The food was great all around. Stacy Ann at La lochanda and Andre at Sakura were both excellent to dine with. I read in some reviews that the piano music at the lobby bar was “too loud” but we went specifically to listen and have a drink before supper nightly because if you think it’s too loud have you LISTENED to that girl?! She’s so incredibly talented! Also Junior and Jason at the lobby bar were quite efficient and attentive. Overall - we will definitely be back to Ocean Eden Bay and hope to see some of our favorite people next time! One love 🇯🇲

The Ocean Eden Bay hotel is fabulous! We had a great time. Rooms are extremely clean, the grounds are well maintained, and the beach is very clean and well groomed. Staff is wonderful, very helpful and extremely pleasant. Food is delicious, the buffet offered a wide variety of food for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, we ate at the different restaurants, all very good but our favourite was the Italian restaurant, we ate there twice. I would definitely recommend this resort to my family and friends. Can't wait to go back!
