As you drive down their private driveway you wind around the corner to their beautiful wooden lodge nestled in the middle of the woods. It’s so quiet and serene. The rooms are so inviting, warm, and comfortable.

This lodge is simply amazing. It’s outside of Fairbanks and is absolutely stunning. The area around the lodge is great for hiking, great aurora views (when the weather cooperates), and very quiet! Rex (one of the owners) is incredibly friendly, very welcoming, and easy to get a hold of should you have questions/need something. Rooms are comfortable, bed was comfortable, and there’s plenty of kitchen stuff if you want to cook your own meals. We have zero complaints! Highly recommend this lodge.

We had a group of 5 couples so we rented out the lodge and had a fantastic time! We bought food to cook for the 4 nights we were there and played games, did puzzles, etc. while waited for dark. The group went into town each day to see different...

We had a group of 5 couples so we rented out the lodge and had a fantastic time! We bought food to cook for the 4 nights we were there and played games, did puzzles, etc. while waited for dark. The group went into town each day to see different places, do different activities, etc. Driving 30 minutes to town wasn't a big deal and being in a place with no light pollution at night was far more important to us than driving a little ways to town. We saw the aurora all 4 nights we were there. Took pics of the Milky Way. And the stars. Wow! We loved the hosts. When we needed something, they responded almost immediately.

It is an unusual B&B, I loved the common space, There was a great back yard with a great 2 mile hike. Rex was very helpful when texted or called, but it was a little strange to never meet a host. There was a young couple who put out bagels...

It is an unusual B&B, I loved the common space, There was a great back yard with a great 2 mile hike. Rex was very helpful when texted or called, but it was a little strange to never meet a host. There was a young couple who put out bagels and coffee, but they were not hosts. I also expected a B&B that features the Northern Lights to have a bit more information regarding the Northern Lights. We were pretty much on our own. Lastly the benefits of being 30 minutes from Fairbanks was also a detriment at times. There were grocery stores or restaurants between Northern Sky and Fairbanks, so come prepared to make food in their nice kitchen or buy lunch food in Fairbanks and eat out there.

Stayed here for a week with Gondwana Ecotours. Very comfortable. Far enough from Fairbanks to feel like you are really in the Alaskan wilderness. We hiked the trails once and borrowed snowshoes. They have a kitchen where you can fix food or heat up water for tea in the evening....

Stayed here for a week with Gondwana Ecotours. Very comfortable. Far enough from Fairbanks to feel like you are really in the Alaskan wilderness. We hiked the trails once and borrowed snowshoes. They have a kitchen where you can fix food or heat up water for tea in the evening. Jess and Rex, owners, were so friendly and helpful. You will definitely need a car or transportation to get to the Lodge, but we had a great experience.

True to description!! Comfortable beds, roomy bedrooms to spread out, and great ensuite! Fantastic location, warm, clean and comfortable. Fantastic hosts. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility that this location offers and appreciated all of the touches like breakfast and late checkouts. Ideal setting with beautiful views and ability to travel to Fairbanks and yet far enough to feel private. Can bring own food and cook if preferred- there’s a fantastic fully equipped kitchen. Vista is amazing. We stayed in late September to see the northern lights and this was a great place to see them! Right above our heads!

The lodge was fantastic. The area around it was beautiful. We were able to borrow some snow shoes they had and go walking around the forest after it snowed several inches. The rooms are comfortable and has nice common areas to relax in. Rex was really helpful in telling us some of the tricks for tracking the northern lights which we utilized all the time. The lodge being away from the city is a great viewing spot when the weather cooperates. It's far enough from Fairbanks to feel away but not so far you can't get back quite easily. Neo is awesome too! We will definitely stay here again!
