NJV Athens Plaza Hotel

We always visit and go back . Very relaxing and friendly, courteous and professional staff. Visiting the restaurant bar and food was delicious. The room was very clean and well kept with an amazing view. Loved everything about it. Till next time our future reservations are already booked.

We are staying in Athens for four extra days before our Viking Cruise. Viking chose this hotel and they usually do an excellent job. It is conveniently located near a plaza that has small sundry items for purchase. Also, a lot of restaurants are nearby. The hotel breakfast was very good. Our room is very clean and everything works great. The staff that we have encountered has been friendly.

What we liked most about this hotel the most was the location. Next to Parliament House and very close to the main shopping district, and many restaurants. We were part of a tour group so probably didn't warrant the best rooms in the hotel. Ours felt a bit tired but...

Would definitely return.

This is a you-get-what you pay for hotel. Excellent location and adequate room. But if I have to call two days in a row to have coffee refreshed, it costs you a star. And water only for 1 day is complimentary? Jeesh. Friendly accommodating front desk.

Absolutely fabulous hotel with a spacious room and bathroom. The breakfast was varied, fresh and tasty. The hotel is in the heart of Athens. We couldn't have picked a more ideal location to stay. We arrived early but we're allowed to check in which was unexpected and wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well as professional. A big shout out to Theo who was so welcoming and accommodating. Also the doormen and porters were so helpful and made us feel so welcome. We would happily stay in NJV Athens on our next trip. Thanks for taking care of us and our baggage.

This was an excellent location. The room was well appointed with everything needed. When we were not on a tour, we could walk in the area. Breakfast, which was included with the room, was excellent. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable.

Very central location. Some rooms have an Acropolis view. This hotel was not bad, but there are better nearby. The rooms were spacious. My room was apparently recently redone, but it still felt like a 90's throwback. To get to top floors, you have to change elevators partway up. Tiny...

Wonderful hotel with a great location. Walkable to the Acropolis and shopping. Many nearby restaurants and bars. Very clean, quiet, large rooms amenities. Great location for base of travel around Athens and southern Greece. The bar is really nice and the staff very helpful and kind.

The location was excellent, close to shopping and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was delicious and extensive. The room size was decent also. Viking Cruises arranged for us to stay at this hotel for our post cruise extension. Larger elevators would be nice however.

Amazing five stars stay , highly recommend for family and couples too, great location in the center of Athens. Very close to high end market and luxury shops. Friendly and professional staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Good value for money .

Super comfy beds spacious rooms great breakfast selection welcoming staff everything you could want for a perfect stay. Great entertainment outside watching the traffic. Music over in the park at nights Central to some cracking restaurants and cafes

Water on night stand was nice, except only one for a 4-night stay. I shouldn’t have to ask for replenishing of water. Location made attractions and local dining options very convenient. However… That being said, our 9th floor room was a different story. Bathroom floor was marble so very slippery in the shower, bathmat very small so used wet towels to keep from falling in shower. One hook for either; a towel, face cloth, or your robe, that’s it. Used window sill for holding our shampoo and soap. Room very noisy: room overlooked an alley way that had several air conditioner units and the noisehum was easily heard up to the 9th floor with windows closed and drapes pulled. Any activity in the hallway was heard as though we had left the door open. . So much for their comments of being newly renovated room and sound deadening…..what sound deadening? Tried to change room but hotel was full up and was told by staff that the street noise would be even louder. The 9th floor required taking the elevator to the 8th then changing to another 2-person elevator to get to the 9th. Not that big a deal but…….got stuck twice in the upper elevator because the buttons seemed to work intermittently, and after a short time the doors closed and the light went out. Yes, I did complain. Waiting for the elevator on the 9th floor one could clearly hear the operations of the electrichydraulic pump room. The hotel offers no amenities; no gym, no pool, no in-room microwave. Fellow travelers stayed at a Marriott, a 9 min cab ride away, that had those features. Although the hotel is convenient to attractions, we will NOT stay there in the future.
