We have been to the Maldives before and stayed at other 5-star resorts. Our expectation was extremely high, and I must say Niyama exceeded all our expectations....

Niyama private island was everything that I expected and more, honestly if you are looking for the perfect Maldives experience this is it. We have been to the Maldives before and stayed at other 5-star resorts. Our expectation was extremely high, and I must say Niyama exceeded all our expectations. We loved both but I have to say that on a total experience Niyama was our best trip ever as we travel around the world every year. The sea plane transfer was smooth and scenic. we were warmly welcomed at the resort by our butler Shanun, who made us feel at home and gave us a wonderful tour of the resort and island. His hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable stay. It was extremely easy to communicate with him via what’s up message to book dinner and excursions. We knew Shanun from another resort where he worked 6 years ago. Our deluxe Beach Villa with pool was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and just steps from the crystal-clear waters. The villa was very spacious and modern. You can seat by the private pool on the swing bed and relax all day as you are surrounded by the turquoise sea water. Everything was just so perfect, and the island was so quiet it almost felt like we had the island to ourselves. The resort generally just stunning with all-natural tress around the island. So much more could be said to describe our visit, but the word-perfect sums it all up really. The highlight of my trip was parasailing, an incredible experience with breath-taking views of the turquoise ocean. The Epicure restaurant was exceptional for breakfast and dinner. The food was very tasty and delicious. You can order what you want without any questions and lots of good recommendations from the waiting staff on what to eat etc. Honestly everything about this resort is incredibly and we had the best team and I was really sad to be leaving, as mentioned the service is what makes this place, I have never experienced where the staff all seem to know where you have been and what you have been up to, they are all coordinated and will ask how was your gym workout and morning bike ride. The SPA facilities at Drift were very relaxing during our stay. I would recommend this resort to couples and families.

This place cannot be measured by words! Last year we planned our trip to Maldives and stayed at the Niyama Private Island Resort for a very brief visit. Our primary focus was to experience SUBSIX, so we booked our stay for just one night in the Chill Island. However, the 24 hours we spent there turned out to be the best 24 hours of our lives. It’s a promise we've made to Niyama – we'll definitely be back soon. The island is like something straight out of a fairy tale, and the resort is an absolute delight. The team's hospitality was simply amazing, and we can wholeheartedly vouch for this incredible place. In the short time we had, we did nothing but chill and play, making the most of the serene surroundings. A special shout-out to Shafeeg and the teams at Subsix and Epicure for making our stay so memorable. I strongly urge anyone who's planning a trip to the Maldives to experience this heavenly bliss.

I don't even know where to start with this review .. After flying a very long flight from Manchester we landed at Niyama .. I have never visited the Maldives before but my partner has many years ago .. I teared up from seeing the staff waiting for us on the jetty after the sea plane had landed, this just got me in the heart, then we met our wonderful Thakaru Imthy! Who took us for a tour round the island and then showed us our beatiful water villa. The island has incredible resturants, if you love your food this is the island for you there is so much choice but NEST and a special mention to Adi on this one.. such a wonderful man, we saw him again the next day in Dune and my partner had a little joke with him to say did you work in NEST too and he said no that's my twin haha The island is immaculate and we loved how you had to walk through the jungle to get to the resturants or across to the other island .. We never used the bikes only to have a quick go we just walked everywhere to get our steps in!! The gym was great we loved that and we always nipped across to the deli for a protein shake and a detox/coffee after we had trained .. We didn't catch the guys name in there but he was so lovely! Our favourite areas to visit were Dune & Surf Shack without a doubt after everyone had gone, we would be the last at the surf shack keeping Chuchu company and he kept the drinks flowing with Sanju & Charly that's for sure !! Another mention to the guy who worked at Dune with the 3 banded tattoo, we loved him and his tattoo but unfortuntley didn't manage to catch his name just a picture of his tattoo. Subsix lunch experience is one for the memory bank and is a must if you can as is the Edge dining experience ... perfect again from start to finish and the food is michelin star standard! Our water villa was wonderful, I know they are going through a refurb at the moment but this didn't take anything away from the whole experience Honestly the staff on this Island are an absolute credit, every single person we met were lovely so so lovely and I can't thankyou enough for making my first experience so memorable .. I cried the last day and the morning of us leaving, it was just perfect .. Again a massive thankyou to Imthy for everything you did for us, you are great! Thankyou so so much! Miss the island and the people SO much and can't wait to return!
