I just returned from a 5 night stay at Naviva and all I can say is WOW!. This property deserves all the 5-star reviews and other accolades it has received to date!! The bungalows (aka "the tents") are spacious, fresh, and extremely comfortable and, of course, "Four Season +" quality....

I just returned from a 5 night stay at Naviva and all I can say is WOW!. This property deserves all the 5-star reviews and other accolades it has received to date!! The bungalows (aka "the tents") are spacious, fresh, and extremely comfortable and, of course, "Four Season +" quality. We often find something in a hotel room, even in the most lux 5-star resorts, that seems a little tired and could use refreshing -- not at Naviva. Everything in our bungalow was impeccable! The dining experiences are unique, may take a bit to get used to for some, but in the end are fully customized to your wishes. Essentially, you can eat or drink almost anything you want, how you want it, when you want it and where you wish to do so. Don't expect to see a menu -- there is a daily "special" that is always unique and gourmet but no worries if it is not your cup of tea - the chef will prepare anything you want. We ate a few meals in the restaurant (where there were never more than 4 other couples dining), one night we had a beach dinner (which was over the top!!) to celebrate a special birthday, and had several meals delivered to our room. Everything was tasty and customized to our wishes. The daily activities were plentiful. Whether it was an authentic wellness ritual, a workout, a guided hike or spa treatment, all were delivered by passionate, authentic, and highly capable staff. If there is something you would like to do and the "scheduled" time does not work in your plans -- just let them know and they will schedule a private session for you (some at a nominal charge). We did use a couple of their third-party vendors for whale watching and photography and they were all topnotch! The beach and pool areas were clean, comfortable, and entirely relaxing -- we rarely saw anyone else on the beach or more than a couple people at the pool. Of course, with the good size, private, heated pool at your bungalow, there was really no reason to leave. With all that said, the team at Naviva is really what makes this place special -- they could not be more accommodating and focused on tailoring an experience to you. In addition to several calls and emails in advance of our arrival to ensure they were prepared for anything we might have wanted; they have team members "locked in" to any questions/requests that are submitted via the Four Seasons app while on property. Every request was immediately responded to and acted upon. Additionally, the team's kindness, warmth and passion for the Naviva experience was evident with every interaction -- they all quickly learn your name and are focused on ensuring nothing but the best experience - they clearly want to "overserve". Even the landscaping crew, took time out from their work, to share what projects they were working on and some insights into the local horticulture and wildlife. I referenced earlier that we were celebrating a special birthday -- the team at Naviva went above and beyond to decorate my room and ensure everyone on staff knew about my special day. I could go on and on but much of it has already been written and I will just reconfirm the superlatives. I really did not know what to expect, whether we would get bored, and whether we needed more "action" that one of the larger resorts on Punta Mita might provide. In the end, we could not believe how quickly the time passed and are already discussing when we want to return!

We are not the "camping" type so we were hesitant. Naviva is a unique one of a kind experience. It is more like going and staying in a luxury fully staffed villa with 16 individual rooms. Everything is top notch. Whatever you would want whenever you would like although most people were generally only demanding services during normal hours based on our experience We did a 4 night stay for our 21st Anniversary. We have been to Punta Mita more than 40 times over the years and have stayed all all types of accommodations. This is more like staying at a fully staffed luxury villa than a hotel. You basically have a private chef to cook anything you could imagine (although they do have a daily special for each meal and we usually did that or a variation of it as our base entree) and full staff for anything else you would want to do. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the entrance by Miguel the operations Manager & a whole team of staff, treating us like family from the second we arrived. We were 1 of 2 "tents" that were occupied the first night but then the remaining nights the property was about 75% full. I don't know which I preferred because even at 75% occupancy, the service was spectacular and the property had a bit more of an active vibe to it. The entire staff knew our names and quickly identified our preferences and schedule which was nice. You will not be disappointed with the F&B at this property. Upon arrival, we met with the chefs and gave our preferences and allergies (only shellfish for my wife). They came to us with lots of options that incorporated all of our requests. My only suggestion would be to have a small general menu as a starting point. Sometimes you can forget where to even start (there is a room service menu on the app that does provide a few options). The wine and drink selection was incredible as well. They only use organic wines and/or wines that have a female owner or wine maker right now. Those rotate but you can always find a great option. Their spirits were creative and top notch and their tequila list that they included in your rate were some of the best I have had. The staff was out of this world. It is very different than a normal hotel where everyone has uniforms and name tags. This staff intentionally can wear a number of different styles and they are encouraged to linger and chat with the guests.....even have a small glass of wine or drink with you. It is really a nice touch to what is usually a very formal working environment with Four Seasons. The massages we received from Ana & Xadeni are incredible and in such a unique environment. I don't do a lot of massages but I would always take one here. Did I mention that one 90 minute massage per person is included with your stay?!! When we were there, they had a turtle release. 40 Sea turtles were released into the ocean to support a project they have trying to get these beautiful creatures to come back and lay their eggs in the same place they were released in 6-8 years. It was an incredible experience. There are so many other things to do while you are there. Hiking, outdoor gym, shore fishing, cardio boxing (training by an ex professional fighter named "Ram"), yoga classes on the ocean front, wine tasting, tequila/mezcal tasting, cooking classes, temzcal ceremony, snorkeling, diving.....too much to even list here. Overall, I give them a 10 of 10 on execution and the overall property. While it is on the expensive side at ~$4,000/night all in, you are truly getting an ocean front villa/suite/tent with a private pool and everything else is included. That said, it seems to prove to be a good value and something that you would really have a hard time duplicating anywhere else other than on an ultra luxury safari. Totally not worth the price, there are so many better places to stay in punta mita. Poor / creepy service and the food was terrible. Activities were significantly underwhelming. I would not recommend to anyone. I wouldn’t consider it luxury

Naviva is an experience like no other. It is a whole new concept of catering your vacation to who YOU are & what you like. My husband & I went for just a short 4 night trip. We didn’t know what to expect as the concept is still kind of new. Even after our thorough interview from our Naviva Guide & General Manager Edu we still didn’t fully know what to expect. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the entrance by Miguel the operations Manager & a whole team of staff, treating us like family. They gave us a tour of the green, luscious property & explained how things work in this very exclusive, beautiful jungle property in the gated community of Punta Mita. It felt so safe, if not a little intimidating as we were two of only 8 guests present in this 16 “tent” resort and we had the spotlight on us. That part was little hard to get used to the first day. There’s an allure that comes with some anonymity during vacations for us, but this was a new experience & once we embraced it, it was better than we could have imagined. It was like being the honored guest everyday, every meal, every activity. Each day we had activities curated especially to our likes, while also allowing us to change our minds on a whim if we didn’t want to do whatever they were offering. As for the food…which I know is very important when choosing your resort, you will not be disappointed if you can just let yourself go with whatever the Copal Chefs Sofia or Rodolfo come up with. Plus you get to go hang out & chat with these lovely people & watch the magic happen while they prepare your meal. Even though they do not have a “menu” each meal, they have a well thought out coursed meal for you to choose or you can literally choose anything else you want & they will make it happen, if not that meal, the next one! I asked for a molten lava cake & it was of course the best I have ever tasted! No matter what you choose, the meal will be a Michelin Star dish. The experience was heightened by the amazing & attentive staff, from the kitchen manager Jorge to the rest of his crew, Kevin, Pollo, Pollito, & Superfly at the bar! You just feel as though you are a close friend coming to dine with the happiest family. We also have to mention the massages we received from Ana & Xadeni. If you are a massage fanatic, and we are…you will not be disappointed in getting a massage here. We loved it so much that we got 3 in our short 4 night stay! Truly devine! All & all, it’s nice to leave a little to the imagination when coming to a place like this. Be open minded & embrace the difference this sanctuary provides…you will forever be changed for the better…but may never want to go back to a regular resort. And lastly, don’t skip the morning yoga sessions & sound healing with Ana! The meditation she provides is truly medicine for the soul! We will surly be returning.

Native is a very special experience. The service and staff keep you feeling taken care of the whole time. The rooms or 'tents' as they call them, are incredibly luxurious, clean, beautiful exc. The food and drinks are amazing, and if you dont like something, the staff will make you something you DO like. The pool is beautiful. The beach is exclusive and pretty, it wasn't swimmable when we were there (but we were told it usually is). The massage was incredible. I would certainly recommend for a couple looking for privacy, or for a group of adults who want to spend time together. There is NOTHING lacking at Naviva. You will feel a bit isolated, but you can always shuttle over to the Four Seasons if you need a lively bar.

Overall, a solid 4 stars. The only issues we encountered (and explained to management who greeted us as we departed... a nice touch) were the poor location and lack of cover for the outdoor gym. Working out under a blazing sun in 90 degree weather? Not thought out. A cover...

Working out under a blazing sun in 90 degree weather? Not thought out. A cover is necessary. Staff was outstanding and, for theost part except for a few exceptions, a step above the staff at it's sister Four Seasons resort next door. Food was excellent but disappointing in the head chef's lack of knowledge of various Caribbean-Latino cuisines. Also felt very uncomfortable seeing food staff go up and down a looong flight of stairs while at the pool and on beach. They need a better, more considerate system as it made my wife uncomfortable even asking for anything out of concern for how exhausting it was to go up and down a cliffside all the time.

Truly gorgeous location, unmatched hospitality, and incredible food. Resort manager Edu and Chef Sofia are absolute wizards at making everything possible at Naviva. The staff and guests are all on a first-name basis here, and it truly does feel like you're staying with an old friend, not at a resort....

I love how truly private the tents (really, they're private villas) are, and how freeing it feels to have no menu, no schedule, just activities and meals whenever you feel like it's time.

The spa, the pool, the beaches all private to only a handful of guests..... A top end fabulous stay!

This is a 6 Star experience. Any traveler looking for a very high end relaxing trip, Naviva has to be top on your list. You had me at "15 tents and adults only and all inclusive and 20 miles from PVR International Airport" The management is in the top 2%....

This is a 6 Star experience. Any traveler looking for a very high end relaxing trip, Naviva has to be top on your list. You had me at "15 tents and adults only and all inclusive and 20 miles from PVR International Airport" The management is in the top 2%. The managers all greeted us by name. Three main managers from Eduardo to wonderful Miguel Morena were out of their way for us every day. There isn't' anything the staff won't try to do to make your stay great. While the kitchen staff and the Chefs prepare Mexican Nouvelle Cuisine (I watched as the Chef spent at least 5 minutes dotting some guacamole cream to the dish to add to the beauty) Each dish, even the fruit plates are garnished in the manner of the finest NYC restaurants. They use fresh home grown and locally sourced ingredients. Naviva even roasts their own coffee right outside the door of the restaurant. What is above and beyond is that they can roast it to whatever strength one desires (Oswaldo also offered to have us take some home with us) All wine and spirits are also included in the daily rate. Daily activities are also included in the rate. We participated in the Temazcal ritual which is a spiritual sweat hut. It was magical. We also loved our Guided Breathwork with Ana. All the activities have a schedule yet we noticed that even after the timeframe was over, management sent Asa to the beach to let us enjoy Shore Fishing well past the posted times. I could go on and on. Thank to all the employees of Naviva. I would suggest staying at least 4 days but 10 days wouldn't get boring! We have been staying in 5 star hotels on almost every continent and I can say without a doubt that Naviva Punta Mita stands with the top Four Seasons properties worldwide.

They surprised us with a beach dinner we will not forget, All of the people we encountered were outstanding. The tent was perfect. We loved the fire pit and outdoor shower. All of our requests were handled to perfection. I love the concept of adult only. The vibe was very Aman like. Food was outstanding. We will definitely return. I highly recommend this very special place.

I highly recommend a spa experience and enjoyed the sound baths at sunset. You are in a constant state of discovery and adventure with all the luxury amenities of a Four Seasons stay. Dreaming of coming back for the Temazcal.

Naviva is really leaning into an authentic, eco-friendly interaction with nature by offering “the real thing” and unapologetically going against the more classic Four Seasons resort model, and I dig it! I booked with my Preferred Partner travel advisor, Ourisman Travel, and received an upgrade to a grand tent and an additional $200 credit (applied towards my airport transfers!!!)

Unbelievably special and tailored to your individual interests and desires. Every request was met with huge smiles and additional ideas to enhance our trip. Service was over the top and hotel staff is attentive without being intrusive. Meals were customized and fresh.

Naviva is what every other property wants to be but isn't. This is not only the best experience in Punta Mita, Puerto Vallarta, but the best in Mexico, PERIOD! You will not find better. I'm almost reluctant to write this review, as I'm afraid everyone will flock here and I'll never get availability again. From the moment we were picked up in the new Ford Bronco, I knew this was going to be different, but had no idea how special this place was. First, I don't think it's fair if I point out certain individuals in this review, as EVERYBODY here was absolutely phenomenal. It takes a team to make this place special and the team at Naviva is truly that. Whomever staffed this resort did an excellent job. We were given a short tour of the property and given some additional information about how it came to be. Everything we came across was simply beautiful and well thought out. What really stood out for me was learning about where things were sourced from locally. From the stone sinks, to the coffee, to the soaps and lotions. One suggestion I might have would be to have somebody do up a coffee table book, that explains them all. This is something the property should be proud of and one of many that sets it apart from any others. Even in the restaurant, there's a story to be told about supporting female run organizations, ask about it !! We stayed in tent number 4. I'll admit, I was a little hesitant about spending some time in a "tent", but if I'm going to, it better be a Four Seasons one. It didn't disappoint. Having opened just in December, obviously everything was still new. The tent was incredible. Everything you could need and more. Excellent attention to detail, everywhere. Even a Marshall bluetooth speaker I could take with me to the beach, if I chose to. The bed, usual outstanding comfortable Four Seasons bed. The bathroom, spacious, clothes steamer, iron, everything. In the living room, a kit to make your own mezcal drinks (see picture). The deck was huge, with a plunge pool and a firepit. The view of the ocean just enhanced it even more. We walked down to the beach and got comfortable on the swing bed to take it all in. This was a beautiful private secluded area, with crazy sight lines. Of course, whales started jumping out in front of us, almost like it was scripted. Could this be real? Then out of nowhere, a server appeared and took our drink order. He disappeared and reappeared with 2 delicious cocktails. Then he brought us lunch, the special of the day. Of course we could order anything we wanted, but obviously made the right choice as it was delicious. Part of the stay includes spa services, specifically a massage. We took advantage of the service and showed up to our outdoor spa "pod". The ladies that performed our massages didn't disappoint. We would definitely recommend and they will customize it to your liking. We went to the restaurant for dinner. We could have had it in our room, but really wanted to see what the restaurant had to offer. It was AMAZING! The menu changes daily, so the fact there is only one restaurant, shouldn't worry you. They will make you whatever you want, but we again chose to go with the Chefs menu. It was a 5 course extravaganza that did not disappoint. Flatbread with grilled vegetables and goat cheese to start. A grilled Ceasar Salad as course 2. A cauliflower soup with caramelized onions, for course 3. A filet minion cooked to your liking with a root vegetables and a beet puree as the main. Followed up with a choice of 5 different desserts, including, key lime pie, chocolate brownie and red velvet cake to name a few. We spend a lot of time in both Vancouver and Las Vegas, both considered top "foodie" cities. If I'm being honest, if Naviva's restaurant was in either of those cities, it would be one I would frequent. It could easily compete against the Gotham, Hy's, Lakeside or StripSteaks out there. The food was excellent. The service, out of this world. The wine selection, tequila selection, etc. is well above anything you've seen before in a resort. AND ITS INCLUDED!!! The restaurant team are a reason to go back alone. However, one thing really blew me away. Through conversation, we obviously talked about how disappointed we were to have to go home etc. We were asked what time we were leaving, which was around lunch time. They put in a boxed lunch order to be delivered to us at checkout so we could still have lunch on our trip back to the airport!! Things like this are above and beyond anything I've seen before. I cant say enough about this "experience". It is that, an experience, not a stay. Naviva sets the bar on what other resorts can only WISH they could fulfill. I will be back here as soon as I can, but for much longer. I can only hope there will be availability for me. I see expansion in the horizon....
