The worst I’ve been experienced.
Our booking was not on their system (booked a month ago)
We had to proof that.
For the check-out, we had to proved AGAIN any bills we paid because nothing was on their system.
ADVICE : be careful and keep your receipts until you check-out.
None gesture for the bad service or incompetence from the staff at the reception.
The food at the restaurant made me sick
This is clearly not an hotel 5 stars
The room is exactly like the photos and this is the only good thing

Our 20-day stay was absolutely perfect! Every single member of the hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Special thanks to Salvador, Isaac, Patty, Luis, and Ariel—you all became more like friends than staff during our time there. The experience was truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to come back, likely for another two or three weeks later this year.
This place is a 100/100 recommendation for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a slice of paradise. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable Salvador!

Nice hotel, very understaffed, restaurant did not have great service (Bar was kind of dirty compared to other places). I would only recommend this hotel to people are ok with driving a can am and nice rooms. I know the employees were trying their best while we were there but I have to say after NAAY took it over it is not as good as when Margaritaville had the property. They need extra help.

We had a very mixed experience at the Náay Hotel.
The facilities there are lovely, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The pool is great with plenty of cabanas and lounges surrounding it. Being on the beach it is possible to walk into town via the beach which was a massive bonus when the streets were flooded.
Unfortunately the service and food left a lot to be desired. The female receptionist couldn’t have been less helpful if she tried and we caught her outright fibbing to us on more than one occasion to avoid doing things. When asked if she could recommend a spa, as it turns out the website is incorrect in listing there being any spa services, she told us just to walk
along the beach and find one (it was well over 30 degrees out and the last thing anyone would want was a beachside massage!) The food at the restaurant was fairly mediocre. And all bar one morning we were told there was no juice available for breakfast, despite them having all the makings for cocktails (that contained fruit juices).
Overall we would probably recommend staying closer to the town if possible so as to have access to more dining options, and hopefully get better service.

Our stay here was far from what we'd hoped for. Right off the bat, we hit a problem with the room keys not working, which meant we had to trek to the reception every single time we wanted to get into our room. They only fixed it on day 4, and offered a dry apology, but not anything to make up for the hassle. Also, heads up for smokers, you can’t smoke anywhere on the property. And yeah, that includes throwing away those IQOS heets in your room – we were totally taken aback by that rule (as we were not smoking in the room, just using the bins). The beach bar that everyone raves about? Closed because of a flood last month, but no one told us ahead of time. The beach had some sunbeds, but no one bothered to set them up or provide umbrellas, and forget about service. Speaking of service, it was pretty much a letdown at 3 out of 10, with hidden costs everywhere and only available by the pool.
Oh, and getting our room cleaned was like pulling teeth – we had to ask multiple times for it to be done in the mornings. It felt like there was no effort to make our stay pleasant at all. To wrap it up, if you’re looking for a poolside holiday with sky-high Maldives prices and subpar service, this is your spot. But honestly, it’s just NOT worth it.

I read many reviews before booking this property. I almost did not book because of some of the recent bad reviews but the property looked really nice so I took a chance.
The pros:
This is the nicest room we have ever stayed in (and we travel a lot). We stayed in the Master Seabreeze Suite. It was large, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. It had about 6 windows and a balcony affording many views of the ocean. The staff lovely and very accomodating, the food at the restaurant is good. The pool area is lovely and towels are plentiful.
The Cons:
As others have mentioned, there is no beach service, only one restaurant is open, they don't supply coffee pods for the nespresso machine. In my opinion these are minor issues. If you want a beautiful room, friendly staff, good food and drinks in a gorgeous beachy environment, you will be happy with this choice.

So…….my idea of a boutique hotel on a peaceful island was not met when we arrived at this hotel. Guns and roses were blaring from the speakers! Our room wasn’t ready as we were early……we were forced to pay for our stay, then decided to take a walk around. The place was dead/empty! The walk to the beach was filthy, as for beach loungers and chairs there was maybe 2 or 3, not really equipped for a fancy boutique hotel!!!!where do I begin with the food……..ordered a burger and a pizza, the burger came out cold and the pizza was quite clearly out of a box(frozen), and when I questioned the origin of the food I was just lied too and told it was made by hand this morning by the manager. We left the hotel at that point as I do not appreciate being lied too, especially when my expectation of a boutique hotel on an island would be a lot higher!we hadn’t even checked into the room as it wasn’t 3pm and asked for a refund. Absolutely no help whatsoever. Just didn’t care. I would strongly advise anybody going to this hotel to think twice. As for communication, we emailed, used instagram and quite frankly have just been ignored!DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE missold is an understatement

Arrived to loud rock music. Served cold frozen food. Totally missold. Broken furniture all the way along the beach which was filthy. Asked for a refund as this was not like the booking I had made and got told "take it up with Expedia". No effort at all to rectify how upset I was at the food and the state of the hotel. Expedia wouldn't help and nor would they. Took over 2 weeks to get hold of a someone and wouldn't let me speak to a manager or anyone else. Terrible experience, went somewhere else.

I would like to express my extreme disappointment with our experience at this hotel in Holbox island in Mexico for New Year. Despite being advertised as a 4-5-star establishment, the service we received was absolutely horrendous. First and foremost, the location of the hotel is far from downtown, and the streets surrounding it are in a terrible state. I highly discourage anyone from going there due to the abundance of mosquitoes and the difficulty in finding a driver willing to take you to NAAY Hotel. The hotel also has the audacity to charge exorbitant prices for their services, which is nothing short of a joke.
On top of that, the island where the hotel is located lacks basic infrastructure. The streets become even worse after rainfall, with enormous potholes filled with dirt and water. It is truly unbelievable. The most distressing part is that if something were to happen to you and the internet is down, the hotel staff would be of no help whatsoever.
One of the most glaring issues we encountered was the severe lack of staff. It was evident that there were not enough employees, and those present seemed untrained and inexperienced. While they were very nice people, they were not equipped with the proper training to perform their jobs effectively. Throughout our stay, we consistently dealt with the same ten individuals who demonstrated a lack of knowledge and professionalism. However, I must commend their dedication as they worked tirelessly day and night.
Cleanliness was another major concern. Our room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard, and we had to endure subpar cleaning practices. It is disheartening when a supposedly upscale hotel fails to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for its guests.
The amenities provided were far from satisfactory as well. Can you believe they only provided us with coffee pods for one day? This level of convenience is simply unacceptable, especially for a hotel claiming to be of a 4-5-star caliber.
Furthermore, the quality and flavor of the food were major disappointments. The food was borderline bad, which was unexpected from a hotel of this standard. Additionally, on the first day of our stay, there was a lack of shrimp and guacamole, which is unacceptable for a Mexican resort. This shows a lack of attention to detail and disrespect for the local cuisine.
It was evident that training is not a priority at this hotel. The staff members appeared inexperienced and were unable to effectively address our concerns or provide any solutions. They lacked the necessary skills and knowledge to meet our expectations.
Despite charging exorbitant rates as a 5-star hotel, the service and experience were more in line with a 2-star establishment. This stark disparity between what was promised and what was delivered is both disappointing and deceptive.
To make matters worse, the hotel's location was far from the city center, making it extremely difficult to find taxi drivers willing to take us there, especially after a rainy storm. The hotel also lacked transportation options to assist guests with their travel needs. This lack of assistance and support only added to our frustration. It was also convenient that the manager was unavailable as he was traveling for New Year.
Based on our experience, I strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay. There are numerous other excellent hotels on the island that will provide a much more enjoyable and satisfying experience. Don't waste your valuable time and hard-earned money here. I genuinely wish I could provide a more positive review, but the numerous issues we encountered make it impossible for me to recommend this hotel to anyone.

We knew from the moment we arrived that this hotel experience would be poor. Alison at the front desk was on a personal call when we arrived and didn’t bother to even motion an ‘un momento’ to us or say ‘I’ll be right with you’. She just carried on with her conversation and seemed a little annoyed to have to deal with another check-in. By the way, I know it was a personal call because 1. I understand Spanish and 2. Because a few moments after that call ended and she started working on our paperwork, she got a call on a different cell phone that was clearly from a future hotel guest; and rather than telling them she was finishing up with a guest (us) and she’d be with them in a moment, she kept right on talking and kept us waiting longer…. Our room was on the third floor, which is only accessible by stairs, and no offer was extended to help with bags, so I carried each of the 25kg+ bags all the way up on my own, which really sucked.
Next thing that’s important to make clear is this is nothing near a 5-star hotel. It’s a 2.5 star at best. In the room there is no mini-bar, no snacks (free or for purchase), no water, no coffee pods (despite a coffee maker being on the counter), no wine glasses or water cups - really none of the comforts you’d expect in even a 3-star hotel were provided.
The TV has 9 Mexican cable channels. That’s it. No way to stream your own media, let alone buy content from a hotel system. For the many vacationers that enjoy watching a movie or tv series in bed after a long day in the sun - they will be out of luck here.
A few other reviews mention this, but it is important to note that taxis don’t want to head this way because of flooding. The hotel ought to mention this or at least prepare guests about because it was pretty alarming to have traveled so far only to be told by the first taxi that they couldn’t get to the hotel due to flood waters… turns out he was just being a jerk and didn’t want to deal with it, but he’s not alone in that sentiment among the taxi community here, and you’re bound to run into the situation if you leave the property.
Now the reason I didn’t give a 1-star is because the restaurant staff are really friendly and helpful. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about.
The entire place is clearly understaffed and in need of a solid management team. It’s clear to me that the good reviews all came from before the hotel was acquired by the new ownership group. I wish I would have noticed that before booking, because it feels very deceptive.
I’ve seen some of the manager’s responses to the bad reviews - they are defensive and don’t take accountability for the deficiencies - a recipe for a hotel that will continue to get worse

(SEE PICTURES) NAAY is a boutique hotel in the way that they offer a highly specialized product encompassing poor customer service, a complete lack of customer care and a half flooded hotel.
Day 1: Arrived at 2pm with a group of 4. Front desk stated check in time was 3 pm. Waited for the front desk girl to finally put down her cell phone at 3:30pm to let us know we could use our rooms.
Arrived to a room with no hand soap, a broken safe, a jammed open bathroom window, stained sheets and flooding behind our building. Wife and friends are not happy. Decided not to complain and attributed it to "Island life".
Day 2: Room has not been cleaned. Advised the front desk that we would like our room cleaned. Front desk advised us to hang a "please clean our room card" on the door. This card is non existent, never provided to us (even after the complaint) and was not seen on any other door on the property. "Island life" is now out the broken window.
Night 2: Arrived back at the hotel around 9pm. Both of our wrist bands no longer unlock the hotel room door. This took an hour for security to attempt to figure out. Eventually they gave up and gave us key cards.
Day 3: Room still has not been cleaned. Spoke with the general manager Roberto on 3 separate occasions throughout the day to make sure someone could at least change towels, make the bed and take the trash out. Roberto advised me it would be cleaned in 30 minutes...this never happened.
Night 3: Arrived back to a room that still has not been cleaned or even picked up. Went to the front desk and was given 2 trash bags, some towels and a roll of toilet paper. Was advised to clean our room and set it outside the hotel room door for staff to collect.
Things to note: This hotel is at the furthest point from the town and is in a flood prone area. The back half of the hotel grounds were under water and all roads leading to the hotel were unwalkable due to waste deep water in placed. You will spend $400-$500 pesos each way on taxi's as they have to off road and traverse massive water crossings. 75% of the time the taxi's in town will refuse to take you to your hotel as they are concerned about getting stuck....we had 2 taxis sink and had to help them get out. $30 USD one way each time, glad I have off roading experience to assist in recovery. You are able to walk the beach to town. This takes 30 minutes and covers sand, rocks, jungle, barb wire and crossing private properties.
I wouldn't stay here again if it was free. 2 stars were given due to SOME staff being very helpful. Shout out to Miguel at the front desk and the entire restaurant staff for being great.
