We visited the hotel recently, and it exceeded expectations. Check-in was fast with great staff, the room was well equipped with plenty of space and a great design. The gym was also well equipped, and the car park was never full with easy access. Finally, the bar looked great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Munich.

Pleasant surprise! Excellent Hotel and Service!! Truly Excellent Staff! We had a great experience at the Marriot City West Hotel in Munich. The location was more than perfect for a couple like us, who don't usually like to stay in places where there are a lot of tourists and a lot of noise. It is in front of the Tram lines that take you to the center of Munich and all the city's attractions in less than 10 minutes. It is also very easy to access any place like the BMW museum or the parks. In addition, there is a train station nearby (about 400 meters of good sidewalk for walking with wheeled suitcases) that takes you to the airport if you don't want to pay for a taxi or Uber. The hotel is still very new and very well maintained by the staff. Everything is very clean, without any defects. We are allergic and everything was 1000% clean. TOP Gym!!! Breakfast is the highlight and it is worth including it in the daily rate because the restaurant is fantastic. The Chef is incredible and, in addition to the dishes, he makes fantastic omelets. The restaurant staff are very friendly, but the personalized service provided by Avi was great and he was there every day we were at the hotel. They provided us with gluten-free and lactose-free options (from yogurts and milk to warm bread) and the options were plenty from teas to pastries, cereals, etc. The view from our room, which faced the back of the hotel, was great. The place is very quiet and we could see the train tracks and the surrounding neighborhoods and some trees that we could see the canopy of. The social area of the hotel and the American Bar were also incredible. The portions and glasses of wine were very nice and the staff served us incredibly. On one of the nights, we were accompanied by the German soccer team, who were staying at the same time and the service was incredible even though the place was very busy. Our experience was incredible mainly due to the fantastic team of staff. A special mention goes to Nabil, Ahmet and the reception staff, who were always incredible and very helpful with every detail we needed; Nabil was very kind to us and took care of all the details we needed, and Ahmet was always amazing and friendly and helped us with extra heaters more than once when we were at the hotel (we went to London and then came back to the hotel because we felt so welcomed). We had a super pleasant experience with both of them and received many smiles from different members of the staff. This will be our place to stay whenever we return to Munich Dri and Cris.

This review is short and sweet - I stayed for 3 nights at The Munich Marriott Hotel City West and had a great experience. The hotel is clean and well organized. The highlight however is the staff. Each person I interacted with from the front desk, the M Club Lounge, and housekeeping was very friendly and welcoming. I really wish I had written down everyone’s name because they all deserve commendations for their dedication to their guests. I’m also a Bonvoy Titanium so I hope this review can be passed along to the staff team as a whole. I’ll return to this property next time I visit Munich, which is often.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our visit to Munich. The reasons for choosing this hotel were because of Marriott Bonvoy program, the cashback program of Amex UK and modernity of the hotel in comparison to other options. We arrived to the hotel about 00:30 a.m. There was one employee at receptions and they quickly checked us in for our room. Before arrival, Marriott app already showed our assigned room and we were offered a free room upgrade thanks to the hotel not being too full. The hotel is a very business-purpose built hotel. It doesn't offer much apart from a gym, restaurant and bar. The rooms are extremely modern and comfortable. Everything is brilliant and sparkling clean. The room had great lighting. It was clean all around. Even though we were given a connecting room, there was no noise from the street or other rooms. We loved the Japanese style bidet integrated toilet seats as a unique feature. There were a great range of amenity kits provided that met every need you can have. In terms of location, it is not the most central hotel. There are a few tram lines going to the centre of Munich and the tram station is right in front of the hotel. However, it is still quite a bit of a distance to walk from S-Bahn. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from S-Bahn and 5 minutes from the tram lines. For this reason, the hotel has good connections. But if you aim to be in central Munich without any public transport, I don't think this is the best hotel. We think this is the biggest disadvantage of the hotel. Overall, the area is a bit out of the common path. It feels quite isolated at night as there isn't many things around. However, we didn't feel unsafe when walking around. We also found the reception entrance to be a bit poorly planned for guests who are walking to the hotel without a car. It is at the back of the hotel. It makes an unnecessary round trip around the building to reach the check-in desk. We only had breakfast for 3 mornings in this hotel. It was absolutely a great range of food options provided with fresh smoothies, juices and custom made omelettes. We truly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It was a bit more expensive than we expected though (29 Euros per person per day) and if we didn't have an AMEX cashback, I doubt we would eat there every day. One minor issue that we had was the wrong bill we received at the end of our stay. Our initial reservation didn't include breakfast but we added at check-in after agreeing 58 Euro per day. However, the hotel bill was charged us 68 Euro per day and took the payment. We only noticed this after check-out and the hotel was happy to refund the difference. However, we think that such a simple calculation should be accurate. We could have missed this wrong payment since the preauthorization was already given at the time of the check-in. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay and the hotel is brand new, super clean and super comfortable. The down side is slightly out of the beaten path location, which isn't too bad but just requires a bit of public transport to reach. We appreciate the hotel being proactive about processing our refund too but it would be great to not have a mistake in a hotel bill in the first place. Nevertheless, the hotel definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

We chose the newer marriott over the older property as the rooms and the lounge had great reviews. Because the hotel was full due to some Business conferences, we couldn’t get an upgrade and honestly the first room we got was very depressing. Thankfully Nody understood my issues and moved us to a different room. However the AC there was not working so he had to change our room again. Positive - Nody didn’t mind at all. Negative - we had to drag luggage to 3 different rooms after being on flights for more than 16 hours. Another teething issue was that M club coffee machines had no milk when we arrived. But again Nody ensured that it was fixed immediately Once these issues were ironed out, the stay was great. As platinum usually we get to choose if we eat in restaurant or lounge. But here it was mandatory for us to use only lounge for breakfast. However the spread and quality was very good. So we didn’t feel that we missed out on anything. Infact there was sparkling wine in breakfast also :) Evening happy hours were great. Great selection of wines and beers. Nice appetisers and desserts. Great service. We enjoyed talking to Stanley & Kalindi. The fitness centre was very basic in our opinion. Some cardio equipment and some free weights plus some machines. But it was not enough to get a decent strength workout in. Dumbbells didn’t go above 14 kg. No barbell or plates. Not even standard attachments for the pulley machine. A bit disappointing. Will we stay here again? Probably - but only because of M club lounge and the great Staff

We had a fabulous time visiting this I believe newly opened hotel! As the lounge is only opening later this month we have received alternative offerings in the bar which were delicious. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to come back once the lounge has opened!
