Stayed here the third weekend in January. The hotel was beautiful, the employees were super nice and our room was very comfortable. We like to snowshoe and there were lots of trails all around the hotel to explore. We also visited the farm in the back of the hotel to see the alpacas. The bar area and bartenders were great, The food service however was terrible! The restaurant called itself a tavern but the chef must think he works at a swanky restaurant. Poor menu selections and very pricey. The first time we tried to eat there, we waited10 minutes for a waiter to show up. We gave him a drink order and we never saw him again. 30 minutes later I asked the hostess about our drinks and she told me she would check on them. Another 5 minutes went by and we decided to leave. The next night we sat at the bar for dinner. We got the menus and the bartender told us they were out of three menu items. so we left again. It's worth the 11 mile drive into Littleton. There are some decent places to eat there like the Littleton Freehouse, Taste the Thai, and Schilling Brew pub for pizza. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was too expensive ($25 a person) for stuff that's been sitting over sternos and not a great selection. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, OFFER FREE COFFEE IN THE MORNING. They charge you 3 dollars for a small cup of coffee. A great breakfast alternative that is literally a 5 minute drive is Grandmas Kitchen. Well worth it. Overall, we plan on returning in the summer to play golf and hike. The employees were so darn nice it made for an enjoyable stay. We're just not going to eat there.

Celebrated my 60th birthday at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa. It was a surprise birthday weekend chosen by my husband. It was a great surprise! We arrived after 6:00 pm on a Friday evening. There was no valet available but that was okay because the parking lot was close to the hotel. Check-in was seamless. We had a nice suite and our room was clean and comfy. We had dinner reservations at 7:15 pm. at the hotel at the Harvest Tavern. It is the only restaurant in the hotel. I had the Tavern Caesar salad with Salmon and my husband had the New England Clam Chowder and Harvest Salad. We also ordered the House-made bread selection. The bread was served warm and came with a variety of homemade bread options including corn bread. Our meal was good. Dress attire for the restaurant is very casual.
The hotel has a cute theater in the lower level. We enjoyed a 9:00 pm showing of Jumangi 2. The movie theater seating was comfortable. After the movie, there is a game room across from the theater and we played several games of pool & air hockey.
The following day we enjoyed the spa. We had couples massages & pedicures. We even order lunch after the massage and it was delivered to a very nice waiting room area where we enjoyed eating our lunch. The turkey bacon club was delicious and the crudite platter was just right! We also visited the Spa Tower. In the tower you can see amazing panoramic views of the mountains. It is a must see if you are in the spa. After our massages we had pedicures and enjoyed the company of both of our pedicurists. We asked our pedicurists for dinner recommendations outside of the hotel for the evening. They both suggested a Thai food restaurant called Chang Thai in Littleton. We are very glad we tried this restaurant. The appetizers and food was delicious. The menu had a great variety of noodles, rice, curry, stir-fry, ramen, sushi and so much more. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant .
Prior to going to the Thai restaurant, we enjoyed a horse drawn carriage ride along with 7 other people on the same ride. The horses were beautiful. Their names were Goose & Maverick. It was snowing so the ride was a little short. The ride was $80 for both of us, but because it was so short, I'm not certain we would have done that again. When the ride was over they offered hot chocolate and warm cookies and the chance to meet a few furry friends in the barn. We got to see some cute goats & sheep.
On Sunday, we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel. It was a full buffet with waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, toast, jams & jellies, granola, yogurt and fresh fruit. The also served the most amazing bread pudding with fresh whipped cream.
After breakfast the hotel offers complimentary snowshoeing and snow tubing and ax throwing. We did the snowshoeing. They provide all the equipment. The snowshoeing trails were well marked and you could do many different ones ranging from easy to hard. It was the perfect activity before we checked out at 11:00 am.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa for a getaway weekend. The hotel is very traditional and has many fireplaces throughout and lots of bookcases and books for your reading enjoyment. We did notice that the carpets seem to be a little worn. Outside of that, it was very clean. They have a gift shop and several other rooms for your relaxing pleasure to play board games or enjoy a cozy fireplace. Also, they have a pool, exercise facility & bar.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Went to Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa for the Christmas / Chanukah holiday with my husband and had absolutely the best time there. It was so peaceful, scenic and festive. The views from all angles of the resort is breathtaking. Things we did were snowshoe-ing (not to miss!), spa-ing (make sure to book the couple's room in the tower), yoga, and Christmas brunch (so so so delicious and off the charts in terms of everything they put out and were cooking fresh!). I highly recommend coming here at the height of winter because it's just a very special place to be with all the snow. There is also a farm on-site with lamas, alpaca, goats, donkeys, chickens and more!

The staff is friendly and very focused on the guests having the best experiences. The bar staff was so patient one of our first nights when a lot of guests arrived. They treated everyone like family and asked how our Holiday's were going. Drinks were fantastic, and so was the food. Our room is huge and we have the incredible views of the mountains. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. So clean, so inviting, such a wonderful getaway for my wife and I on our anniversary.

We stayed one of the nights of our New England tour at the Mountain View Grand Resort in Whitefield New Hampshire. The property was very pretty, and very well cared for, and we had a comfortable night there. The highlight there was the very nice breakfast—a buffet served in a nicer fashion than a typical hotel, with wait staff seating us, bringing us drinks, and making sure our needs were met. We were happy with our visit to this hotel, and the beautiful surroundings. It was also convenient to our drive the next day, on the Kancamagus Scenic Highway.

We paid slightly over $600 for the room. When we arrived, there was no bellhop to help with luggage nor valet parking. The room we were given, was just off the lobby and looked like it was a former office turned into a new guest room. We paid for a king size bed when we were put into another room. It was a queen size and did not even have room for two people to sit. We went to go have dinner and they told us there were no reservations available and that we should’ve booked it days before.
Whether you pay $200 or $600 a night trust me this hotel is not worth it. There are many more in the area that are far more luxurious And hospitable and cater to those who can afford it.

The location is fabulous, the views over their golf course and into the mountains with the colors changing is absolutely incredible. And while there are many other reasons to go here - and it's a beautiful hotel!, the location and views is really reason numbers 1-2-3! Because otherwise, the service is spotty depending upon who you talk to, the food was decent, but I couldn't believe the Grilled Mexican White Prawn Panzanella dinner dish. It sounded wonderful and was fairly low cost for this place - until I learned why! I love ciabatta and garlic - which conjures images of some form of ciabatta roll? These were crunchy croutons that could have been any bread at all; and there were only 4 mid sized shrimp! The rule at one point was 5 and they should be larger! I ate it, but very middling meal. They have a wonderful concept of a s'more campfire every evening if you want to buy a s'more, but you can't have a drink because it is across the street and that isn't allowed. Wow. Mirror Lake Inn has something similar and they give you a S'more, are less expensive larger rooms, and better staffed and trained. The room had a wonderful view, but was extremely small for the price! The veranda is also lovely and a bartender was very nice (and one wasn't so much). Their alpaca/llama/sheep farm was very nice and fun to visit and their hiking trails were nice. It has a wonderful reputation, but if you comparison shop for luxury stays, this is overpriced. Maybe they, like many, are having trouble hiring help and good help. Cindy at check in was very nice however. The dinner host was confused and struggled with english and lead to a many minute delay. Nice lady, just not well prepared.

The Mt. View Grand Resort is breathtaking. It is set in the mountains of New Hampshire with spectacular scenery on all sides. The resort itself has a golf course, indoor and outdoor pool, an activity center, a farm on the grounds, lovely rooms, and excellent food and bar service. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. Our room was spacious and had avery comfortable bed and pillows. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Hotel had a great location and staff. However, they are seriously understaffed. Restaurant doesn’t have a host/hostess so we didn’t even know it was open. They advertise outdoor dining but were unable to open outdoors on a beautiful day because they said they don’t have enough staff. There was a glass on the floor outside the room across from us that sat there untouched for over 24 hours. I assume that is also the result of understaffing.
Since there are not too many dining options in the area aside from eating there I don’t think we will be back

My partner and I stayed for 3 days, and went to both the spa and the restaurant. While the amenities clearly have the potential to be nice, we’ve had several instances of disappointing service or rude staff since arriving. The massages specifically were disappointing, and were originally the reason why we even came to stay here in the first place. Additionally, activities that were posted were not staffed, the advertised hot tub is out of service “permanently”, in general the hotel is so eerily void of staff and guests that it seems haunted.
You are far better off going to many of the other great destinations anywhere in New England - if you’re on the fence of whether or not to book, I strongly recommend you reconsider.
