Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. My husband and I booked a stay here recently.. We arrived after dark and checked in at the front desk. We are in our 70s and my husband is in poor health. We were directed to find our room without any assistance with our luggage. We walked in the rain, wheeling our luggage over a stone path after a long day of travel. We wondered around from building to building until we were approached by a security guard who offered to help, only to find our room was on the second floor and up 17 steps!!
We went to the front desk the next day and requested a more accessible room. We were told that they were booked solid with no available rooms. It was apparent that the resort was not fully occupied and this was verified by two members of the housekeeping staff, a security guard, and other guests staying there at the time. Our stay was miserable especially for me (all 115 lbs of me) who was responsible for lugging up our possessions to our room every day.
We even contacted our concierge who offered to help if WE AGREED TO ATTEND THEIR TIMESHARE PRESENTATION!
After we got home I sent a registered letter to the hotel manager. His response was that they were booked as we were told by the front desk. Complete LIE and he knows that to be the situation. There are other numerous complaints as well by we feel that sharing this information pales in comparison to denying appropriate accommodations for people with disabilities. Yes, Grand Cayman does have laws to protect people with disabilities. And before you ask, the hotel website mentions an elevator, or we would of requested a handicap room when we booked the stay

WARNING: we went to the Sales Meet and Greet and received a $100 Food and Beverage Voucher. As we checked out, MTC would not honor the voucher! We were told it had to be used at the restaurant and presented at that time. Too bad that Stefan in the sales center didn’t mention it and it was not printed on the voucher. Customer ain’t right at MTC. We spent part of the vacation in the sales center and we were screwed on the gift. The manager went right back into his office and we were told to go to the sales Center which you and I both know would a waste of even more of our time. Pretty crappy treatment.
Bonvoy members can use points and options at MTC so don’t bother with the sales center.
We had a nice time with a rotten end. No worries! Lots of OTHER GOOD AND FAIR accommodations on GC.

So much potential. This place good be awesome with the right amount of fixing.

1. Gym: In a basement cave. No windows. Old fluorescent tube lighting. More amenable to a wine cave than a gym. Please creat an oceanfront gym!! Improve the equipment There's only 1 TV. If you must keep the gym in a musty windowless basement, then may I suggest you install a dehumidifier, clean and new carpeting, and maybe some pictures of beaches and sunny palm trees on the walls so it doesn't feel so dingy. I usually work out three or four times a week, but could not bring myself to work out even once in the gym the way it is now.
2. Sound. Every time the people in the unit above our unit moved their chairs, it sounded like a loud trombone in our unit.
3. Broken kitchen garbage. It's a cheap plastic garbage that has a broken top, so you can't close it. When I asked to see if we could get a new one, I was told they were all like that, and that they were not able to do anything about it.
4. The rug in the stairway is dated and dirty.
5. The master bedroom only has a queen size bed, and only 1 bedside table.
6. Very low Internet speeds. 3 Mb download and 1 Mb upload. And they tell you you can only connect two devices per room unless you're a member of their grand turtle club. My laptop, oculus quest, streaming sticks and other devices could not connect to the archaic login system. there is no excuse for this. The rest of the island has speeds going way above 100 Mb per second.
7. The large burner unit on the stove didn't work. I advised housekeeping about it, but nothing was done about following up on it.
8. Very uncomfortable beach hammocks. It would not be expensive to get a nice cloth hammocks with pillows, that people would appreciate.
Recommendations to management: Stop spending all the money on building new towers to sell more timeshares, until you've updated the current units to today's standards: Full-size water heaters. Working and modern kitchen appliances. Smart TVs that people can stream too. Internet speeds above 3 Mbps. Remove the carpets in the stair staircase, .... make us feel like you trying to keep the current units in top shape, rather than just selling new timeshares.
Good points: Nice front desk staff. Great experience with the Dive shop staff and dive options. The bed linen was soft and comfortable.

We just spent a beautiful week at Morritt's Resort on the East End of Grand Cayman. We chose not to rent a car because we were concerned about driving on the opposite side of the road from what we're used to. Leon's taxi was always available. The drivers were all very nice however it was pretty expensive... even for us New Yorkers. The front desk staff greeted us when we arrived and there were no lines to check in. Alyssa was especially helpful and friendly! We were assigned a beautiful, one bedroom oceanfront apartment in the Wealdstone building. I think there are newer buildings but our unit was lovely and the view of the beach was spectacular!!! The unit itself was very clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. The bed did creak... but we got used to that. They offer housekeeping once during the week but you can always ask if you need additional towels or supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the beach. And while the shore was rocky with some plant life, that enabled us to see fish even though we were only using goggles. They have three pools. Two have bars and activities. We really only used the "quiet" pool to do laps. Food at Morritt's is excellent. We enjoyed dinner at David's 3 nights of our stay. And we spent several evenings at Mimi's, a more casual bar and grill on a dock off the beach. They had karaoke nights, live music and dancing. Other evenings we took taxis to Big Tree BBQ and Vivine's Kitchen for delicious regional cooking. The staff at Morritt's are friendly and welcoming. In fact all of the people we met on the island were lovely. Morritt's Resort is a timeshare and they are eager to meet you and sell. We told them we preferred not to attend any meetings and they respected that. All in all, this was a wonderful week and we hope to return here again someday soon!!
