Had a fabulous week at the Moon Grand! Beautiful resort, great food and the friendliest staff of any resort. Staff always get to know you by name and goes out of the way to care for your every need! Thanks for a great week!

The romantic dinner at the caribeño beach club was a last minute Ute addition to our 8 day stay at the Grand. It turned out to be the best experience of the entire trip. The beach club is closed exclusively for couples, this dinner had only 5 tables which was great during busy spring break season. The food was excellent and the service even better. Our waiters were very polite and attentive, they even offered to take pictures of us with the beautiful beach backdrop. The live saxophone player was a nice romantic touch. This was a 5 star dinner, I would recommend it for anyone looking for some privacy during the busy resort season.

Roberto is the absolute best! Makes you feel like you’re enjoying a private wine tour at every occasion. Leonel and the Le Chateau team are fantastic. Highly recommend. Pool day with Alberto and Daniel always are special too. Love Moon!

We absolutely everything Moon Palace. We go every year for at least a week. We just left and can’t wait to book again. The crowd was perfect until the Sunday when the spring break crowd started to show up. The staff is still wonderful and it really didn’t dampen the trip. Unfortunately the young kids weren’t always the most respectful of the staff or other guests. Gessemy and Sarai in the Grand Spa were amazing. Ronaldo was our server at the Cusco lunch buffet was the funniest and most personable server. He made our day.

While the resort and its Diamond experience via the concierge were poor overall, there WERE bright spots., which I will detail later. It was disappointing to find some of the premier restaurants closed (and others with dreadful food) and the Diamond pool closed (there is no Diamond area or service at the beach (where we had to stay out of the murky water some days due to jellyfish- Portuguese Man o’ War, to be exact). The “garden view” from our room looked out upon a near empty cement “lagoon.” Room service offerings were mostly inedible. So, on to the good stuff- Restaurant Habibi was a gem! The manager, Naxhelly, has trained her staff to provide wonderful service. The excellence of the kitchen is amplified by the wonderful attention of the waitstaff. Christopher served us on both of our dinner visits and made excellent recommendations to help us enjoy our meals- even helping us plan what to have for a breakfast visit. He was ably assisted by Israel and others. Jessica at the Asian restaurant, Jade, was one of the hardest-working servers we had seen at the resort. Visiting the speakeasy, the Library, we were attended to by Marisol (excellent cocktails too!). Pity that the fun atmosphere was often ruined by patrons who couldn’t manage to shut the doors! Our chocolate/alcohol pairing experience was a lot of fun thanks to our sommelier, Guillermo. Fixing the spa snafu our concierge created (said snafu being just one of our many issues with our poor “Diamond experience”) was the helpful Diana. A standout of our visit was the pool concierge, Alejandro. He remembered us and greeted us warmly wherever he saw us and took care of our comfort, at both the pool and the beach. Our final full day, we were attended by an excellent server, Reyna, at the spot temporarily identified as a “Diamond” pool- sorry we didn’t meet her sooner. It’s the people at the resort who make our visit better and they deserve to be recognised and supported. I only hope Palace starts putting money into improving the level of the resorts’ amenities (this was the most expensive area of the resort yet offered so little of actual excellence) and stops its Ponzi scheme of robbing Peter to pay Paul, funneling our membership dollars into opening more resorts instead of properly maintaining, supporting and improving the ones already open.

Our 4th stay at Moon Grand. Our expectations were high & we had a fantastic time overall. Beautiful, clean grounds, room, really wonderful food at restaurants, poolside grills & cafe Boulangerie. Staff are hard workers. The new app is working brilliantly. Make reservations for dinner up to 3 days in advance, starting at 7am each day. Even events can be added by 1 click into your personal calendar in the app. And spa appointments instantly added into the calendar was so helpful. We loved the live music & how easy it is to see the schedule of entertainment day/night so that we could plan our day & where to go. One big negative for us as a couple - kids rule here. They are EVERYWHERE. Really noticeable this time where previous trips we didn't see so many at Grand. They are loud, some sick, some crying especially at dinners (cue 7pm every night they would lose their minds), some behaving well, others not. Not what I would like for a vacation break, ESPECIALLY at dinner, so I will choose an adults only place next time. Really enjoyed Le Chateau dinner (adults only!) Juan our server there made our night so special. He is a wonderful human. At Moon Grand there used to be 4 adults only pools, now there are only 2. One is only for Diamond/Residence members & is right in the middle of kids pools so I wouldn't want to go anyway even if we were in that membership. We are "elite" members & it was great to see everyone getting fantastic service, not just if you have the black bracelets. Unique Day club adults pool gets busy & disgustingly hot, since this is the ONLY adults pool (other than the diamond one I mentioned that hardly anyone uses). Could use a few extra servers & bartenders here in the afternoons. Pool party was really lacking compared to Hard Rock Riviera Maya Heaven pool party.

Another spectacular trip to The Grand! We have been coming to the Moon Palace since 2002. Yes we are members but I will not sugar coat anything if it was not deserving. This by far was the best trip yet. Before we get to the good stuff, I must admit our Private Transportation we booked thru Palace was not the best. We were treated then forgotten about despite us asking the employee again where our ride was. We waited almost 30 minutes until a nice employee named Javier assisted us apologizing. From then on the trip was smooth sailing. Samuel in registration had initially placed us next to the waterpark. During the registration process we requested a different building, nothing specific. Samuel came thru with a great location and a beautiful room. Registration was quick and efficient. Of course our first dinner of our trip was with Juan Carlos at The Grill. We ate here 3 nights out of the 10 we stayed. Juan Carlos is an excellent server who we now consider a friend. He greets you with a big smile and is always making sure we have what we need. Dinner was delicious and is our Number 1 place to eat, not only because of the food, but for the service as well! Our second favorite is now Jade. We had never eaten here before, why I don’t know.! Highly recommended! Ignacio the Manager made sure our dinner was nothing but spectacular along with Juan our waiter. The service here was also amazing! The sushi was amazing! Los Tacos with Luis is also a favorite of ours. Although you can no longer order at your pool chair and must sit at the tables. The Kassette Karaoke Bar (adults only) by far has the BEST BARTENDERS. Gilmer and Felipe and Mariel the hostess were outstanding and you could tell really loved their jobs . They were lots of fun and made sure everyone had their drinks when needed. A great place to escape the screaming kids everywhere. THE GRAND SPA is absolutely heavenly. A nice place to relax with a sauna, steam room, showers, ice room and heated relaxation chairs all before your services! I will point out that the Sales Reps trying to sell people memberships are now bringing their tours into the spa. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. This creates more foot traffic, loud talking and laughter. This takes away from the Peaceful spa experience. Please stop this. I was there 4 times and each time this was an issue. The Beach was the best it has ever looked. The seaweed is collected each day and the ocean was somewhat clear. They are working hard at adding more sand down toward Sunrise on the beach as it has eroded some. One thing that was different this year that we really enjoyed was the Palace Vacation Planners walking around the pools to book any spa or trips you would like. I never looked forward to sitting inside to do that. So we met with Edwin from Palace Vacation Planners and booked our entire week in spa sitting by the pool. Very nice! The service everywhere we went, from the cleaning staff to the waiters/waitresses, bell boys to the Concierges were outstanding and are exactly what should represent Palace Resorts. Mario KC the Bellboy has been there since at least 2002, what an outstanding employee. Always make sure to either greet us when we arrive or see us off when we have to leave. Drizzled lightly with maple syrup. Favorite waitress, Fernanda. Love her. Joe’s Deck our afternoon cocktail hour place. Beatriz, love her. Irvan the bartender -exceptional. All the wait people wonderful. Had breakfast at Malanga at Ninzuc. Carolina our favorite hostess. We’ve known her for years. Julio the pool activity manager has such a personality. We met him last year and he remembered us. Pool concierge Alessandro took such good care of us. Ate lunch at the Grille. It was good. However the waiters knew exactly what we drank. Great memories he had. We never ate at Sunrise this year but there is always new year. Our concierge, Mariana was perfect. Always, always available

The Spa experience is my favorite at the Grand! Thanks to Karen Zavate for the pampering in the Hydrotherapy area. She was super sweet and remembered me from 2024! Thanks also to Maria Diaz who attended me to nicely. Adriana was amazing at the 2 treatments I received. Thanks again! The sauna seems to be different temperatures each day. The experience showers work only part time. Hope to return one day.
