Brand: Marriott Vacation Club (Marriott Bonvoy)

South Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Village, the restaurant and shopping hub of the beloved vacation destination, is always at your fingertips during a Marriott’s Timer Lodge honeymoon. Beyond direct access to the area’s best activities, the resort is a dreamlike property in its own right with spacious accommodations, spectacular mountain views, and stellar amenities.

Your Marriott’s Timer Lodge honeymoon begins with selecting among numerous different guest room and villa setups, all of which feature a living area and soundproof windows for peace and quiet. Upgrading to a villa brings even more space for honeymooners that want to have a home away from home, and available features include a fireplace for romantic evenings with a glass of wine in hand. In the morning, you can either make a fresh cup of coffee in your room or head down to The Marketplace Express for a Starbucks beverage and a pastry. For lunch, you’ll definitely want to try FiRE + iCE Grill and Bar, which offers delectable Mongolian-style cuisine cooked on an open grill. There are near endless options for dinner in Heavenly Village, and if you’d prefer a truly romantic experience in your room, Marriott has teamed with local restaurants for effortless delivery.

Skiers will not be able to get enough of the surrounding slopes, with the resort offering prime access to the Heavenly Mountain Gondola, though that just scratches the surface. The resort includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a variety of wellness classes to keep you active. Or simply take a stroll around the village for live music, movies, ice skating, and shopping. Lake Tahoe is a destination that has something for everyone, making it the ideal honeymoon destination for honeymooning couples seeking a mix of adventure and true relaxation.

You better love Loud Rap Music!

The hotel and staff were good. The Fire and Ice Restaurant plays rap music so loud out doors from 2-9 pm on the week ends at such high decimals you cannot hear your tv or your own music in your room. It is soo bad, I called to see if...

A great place to stay in the south Lake Tahoe area

We enjoyed a week at the Marriott vacations resort in Lake Tahoe. It was a very pristine and up-to-date hotel located very near the lake and convenient to most shopping centers we needed. Our unit was newly remodeled so we had the latest appliances and enough outlets for our electronic...

Good hotel , fantastic if not for the parking

Look this a great hotel , room were big and super clean , staff were friendly and the location couldn’t be better . Pool looked awesome, but we didn’t use , lovely lobby , the only thing that lets it down is the parking . To expensive and not practical.

Not Worth the Price! Stay Elsewhere...

After staying with friends at the other Marriott in town a couple months prior and loving it, I decided to book a few days here with my husband for a romantic anniversary trip. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with our stay at Mariott's Timber Lodge. We paid for half the...

Nice Place

The place was nice enough, but nothing jumped out. The team members were great and friendly, as you would expect. Parking, checking in, or getting your car for a day trip is pretty much a mess. Some restaurants and bars were right in the village next to the Marriot. We...

Wonderful Time as Always!

Very nice experience. Will definitely be back! The location is fantastic with a fun restaurant attached called the "Fire + Ice". Great fun! We like it best in the Fall when we can see the spawning salmon going up the creek and hiking along the scenic trail.

Great Stay

What a pleasure to write this review. As a Disney Vacation Club member for over 3 decades, I exchanged vacation club points to use at Timber Lodge. The property is undergoing renovations to the rooms and I was lucky enough to have a refurbished room that overlooked the mountain. The...

Terrible service experience

Do not get suckered by the Marriott Vacation Club (MVC) Timeshare discounts. The rules are suffocating even for Platinum Bonvoy Members as myself. We scheduled a weekend getaway and then my partner was involved in an auto accident. They first wanted to charge me $99 to reschedule then additional fees...

Terrific Timber Lodge Experience

My partner and I had three days available to ski/snowboard while in California on other business so we went to Tahoe. Timber Lodge is one of Mariott’s Vacation Properties, so it is not a traditional hotel (no room service, limited maid service, etc.). We were in a one bedroom “villa”...

No-brainer for ski trip!

It’s a no-brainer to stay here. It’s right at the base of Heavenly Mountain, where you’ll jump on the gondola right outside the door of the hotel. It’s within walking distance to everything you need in this area (restaurants, ski rental, shops, etc), so you won’t need a car. Inside...

Wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room came with a washer dryer, fireplace, full kitchen, full bathroom with double sinks, and a table that seats six. The staff is incredibly nice and the hotel room and hotel are kept clean. My only complaint is the bed and...

Beds

I have stayed at this property for several years and as a Marriott owner, I was extremely disappointed. The main problem was the bed and pillows. The bed was so hard that I felt I was sleeping on a piece of wood. I basically was not able to sleep and...

Hidden Fee

The room was clean--small, but clean. We had to laugh at the hotel's sense of "la-di-da" in calling their room a "villa." But what really torqued us was the unannounced additional fee of $35 per night to park our car (an added $70 for the two nights we stayed). If...

Rundown Rooms

Our room was awful. Not up to typical Marriott standards at all. I don't know what is going on with the rooms but ours, a one bedroom, was sparsely furnished and uncomfortable. The very small sofa was uncomfortable with no pillows for your back. Only one chair and a small...
