Reviews of Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao
We had another wonderful stay at Corendon in Curaçao! Great food and atmosphere! ❤️ Ray was helpful, informative and pleasant!
Sadiye was very nice and helpful at the Cabanas as well.
Only thing is getting an evening at a restaurant can be difficult.
Second time back and love it just as much.
It's our second time here and love it here. It's amazing that the hotel is as central as it is, it's very convenient. The only criticism I have is that either the restaurants should have more seats and also make booking one earlier. If it wasn't for Ray it would...

If it wasn't for Ray it would have been difficult to get a spot at the Italian restaurant.
And Sadiye gavr us amazing service at the Cabanas and in general.

We had a great stay here in January! It was our first time in Curacao and we loved the location of Mangrove. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into Willemstad which is a must do! (Go both during the day for the shopping and at night so you can see the swinging bridge all lit up in the dark).
Room: The rooms were clean and modern. We had a partial ocean view so we could see both the pool and a bit of the ocean.
Food: The food selection was massive and quality was great! They even had a whole gluten free area. The desserts may be the best we’ve ever had at an all inclusive. Overall I think anyone could find things they love here.
Service: My only complaint was the service. The staff seemed to have no customer service training whatsoever. They did not greet us (or even respond to our greetings) the bartenders would ignore customers and chat amongst themselves. A lot of staff would be on the phones ignoring people. It’s a fend for yourself situation at the buffet. We often had to find our own cutlery and there never seemed to be enough.
Beach: the beach is small and almost completely coral (which we knew when we booked). I highly recommend water shoes especially for kids as most beaches in Curacao are coral bottom. There is snorkelling at the beach and lots of fun things to see! The cruise port is directly infront of the hotel. So it does block the complete left side of the view. It’s kind of cool to see the cruise ships come and go though, and again we knew that when we booked and it didn’t bother us at all. They could use more beach loungers, and if you want under a palapa you do have to pay.
Overall it was a great stay and we would come back!

I would like to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for the entire team at Mangrove Corendon Beach Resort, who made my experience truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with impeccable service, warmth, and an attention to detail that made all the difference.
First and foremost, I must highlight Mert, who is responsible for the restaurants at The Rif. His dedication, professionalism, and leadership are outstanding. He not only manages everything with impressive precision but also has an incredible eye for detail, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience. Moreover, his ability to handle unforeseen situations is simply extraordinary—he resolves any issue quickly, effortlessly, and with a smile, providing a sense of confidence that truly stands out. It is rare to find someone so committed and talented in the art of hospitality.
The reception team at Corendon also deserves high praise, especially Betty and Johanna, who demonstrated exemplary professionalism and an infectious friendliness. From the very first interaction, they made everything easier and more welcoming, always ready to assist with any need. Their attention to detail and the way they engage with each guest make the stay even more special.
And I cannot forget to mention the excellent work of Lucedera, the housekeeping staff member who took care of my room with exceptional dedication and care. The spotless cleanliness, the attention to detail, and her kindness in service showed how much effort she puts into making guests feel at home.
The combination of an incredible resort with such an outstanding team makes Mangrove Corendon Beach Resort a truly unforgettable destination. My sincere thanks to everyone, and a special appreciation to Mert, who truly makes a difference and takes hospitality to the next level. I look forward to returning soon to experience it all again!

Compared to almost every other all-inclusive that we have stayed, this is about the worst (especially when considering the cost).
The room is nicely sized and looks fine. But there are no drawers to store a week's worth of clothes and only 4 hangers in a 2-ft closet.
The Ocean Front room (BLDG 2) was probably not worth the cost as, most days; there were 1-2 huge cruise ships docked for the day, blocking our view. That's on top of the building and trees on the right of our room.
The food was just OK. You could find something to eat in the buffet but it was kind of hit or miss. The specialty restaurants were unimpressive. There was no attempt to make an atmosphere in the Mexican and Turkish restaurants. The Italian was the worst and the BBQ the best (but not by much).
The service was non-existent at breakfast and lunch. Nobody to bring you coffee, juice or wine. All self-serve. I've never had that at an all-inclusive before. Bar service was usually so-so unless you got a great bartender.
The "beach" was only about 100 yards long, so there were no beach walks. Very disappointing. The ocean view was partially ruined by the cruise line dock and a rock jetty that runs about 75 yds off the beach.
The stairwells were completely dirty. Never swept at all. Cobwebs, french fries, dead roaches, dust and dirt, paper wrappings, etc,
The maid service was spotty as well. Sometimes, they would take dirty towels away and never replace them.
I could (and our group of some 30 folks) all write a very long negative review. But the bottom line is that we would never come back, nor would we recommend this resort to anyone!
This "resort" is NOT WORTHY of the Hilton Curio Collection.

My wife and I are in our early 60s and we stayed at the Corendon Mangrove in early February 2025. This was a WestJet 9-day all inclusive travel package and we used our credit card points to heavily offset the cost - so this was a minimal cost trip. Yeah!...
My wife and I are in our early 60s and we stayed at the Corendon Mangrove in early February 2025. This was a WestJet 9-day all inclusive travel package and we used our credit card points to heavily offset the cost - so this was a minimal cost trip. Yeah!
We've been to a few Caribbean all inclusives and our learning is to temper our expectations a little bit. And having done so, we thought this hotel and experience was great! 4/5 overall rating.
Its strengths: The location to downtown Willemstad, is a short 15 or 20 minute safe walk. We went on two free downtown walking tours and visited three of the downtown area museums. Our room was ocean view and was great - spacious, air conditioning worked, hot water and plumbing no problems, no electricity outages. The main hall buffet was very good and of the several on site restaurants (which you must reserve), we liked the seafood restaurant. The facility itself seems to be quite new and is generally in good condition and well maintained. The gym is really good . The main pool is nice, busy but lounge chairs are at a shortage as the morning progresses. But the two shallow, quiet pools on the side of buildings are much less used. Staff are friendly and we liked that the clientele was a broad mix of ages and nationalities and not crowds of drunken college kids.
Areas for improvement: we thought the nightly entertainment was weak and it sucks that people place a towel on a lounge chair by the pool and leave the chair unused for hours. If you like Heineken you'll be happy ...but if you're looking for craft beers, you'll have to go downtown. Some people liked the Mexican restaurant on site , we thought it was poor.
Fyi- Rent a economy car in advance- taxis are very expensive here. The area restaurants are not cheap- you'll pay similar money when dining out in Canada. Bring some cash ...as some local establishments are cash only and sometimes they couldn't process a credit card. Highs were 29 deg C, sun and cloud mix, breezy and short rain showers mostt days.

My boyfriend and I traveled 1/30-2/5. Our first night we had Mexican, it was a slight bit of mayhem getting seated and ordering but the food was good. Portions are a little small, for me it was fine but my bf definitely could have enjoyed more. We did realize this was a trend with the specialty restaurants. The bbq was delicious but the sides served were definitely not meant for 2 people. We both thoroughly enjoyed the sushi restaurant and wished we had went there more. Buffet was good, breakfast options were definitely better than dinner options. But we both found things we enjoyed. I wish I could remember names we had two staff members that stood out- the gentleman that worked the bell desk that assisted us to our room was very friendly, helpful and made a lasting impression. The young lady that worked the lobby bar in the mornings I cannot recall one time not seeing her without a smile on her face. Very pleasant, made my mornings happy & made wonderful coffee drinks!
We chose an ocean view room - definitely worth it! I’m an early riser so watching the sunrise and the cruise ships come in were quite awesome. Same for evenings. Housekeeping did phenomenal and our room was kept clean and everything replenished daily.
Main pool was very crowded and to much for my liking, but we utilized one of the side pools and it was peaceful & relaxing which was a main goal of this vacation. Most evenings there was live entertainment which we enjoyed from both the beach & our balcony. We did channel our inner “teenager” and spent an afternoon at the water slides which was a blast.
When we were booking this trip I did slot of reading reviews of multiple resorts- I felt this one had far better reviews and throats how we chose this resort, upon leaving we had a shared shuttle and picked up 3 other couples from another resort and 2 of the 3 had negative experiences. It was a sigh of relief to us as we thought the resort was beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Curacao. The walking distance to downtown was also a definite bonus. I think minor improvements in the restaurants would be beneficial, but overall we both loved it and would definitely go back!

This facility is listed as being a 5-star hotel. Far from it. Part of being a 5-star hotel is service and staff, both of which are lacking here. The hotel is understaffed and those that are here are very rude and uncaring. We have been to several all-inclusives in the past and have never seen such chaos in a buffet area as we witnessed here. Usually, there is a hostess that will seat you and then you get up and get your food. Coffee is usually brought to the table. This place, there is a person at the front, but she does not even check your room off or show you to a seat. You walk in , get your food, then try to find a table. The coffee and juice stations are set up in the main traffic area, making it difficult for people to pass in either direction. There is no real order to the layout of food. The food choices are poor as well. Their omelet station is terribly slow. 25 minutes to get one. The young cook who was at the omelet station, was constantly checking his phone. Their ‘specialty’ restaurants are no better. We tried most of them (we don’t eat seafood so skipped those). We tried their Turkish restaurant (SOFRA). The food was passable but portion size was small. I ordered a chicken shish kebab. It was listed as having Bulgur rice, char-grilled tomato, peppers and onions. It came with a teaspoon of rice,1 shriveled red pepper, a few thin slices of onion and a burnt tomato. I never even got the drink I ordered. Their Italian restaurant ((Ristorante Siciliano) did not do much better. We chose a 7:30 seating but did not receive our meal until 8:40. My meal was fine (chicken Verde), however, my wife’s (Tagliatelle alla Siciliana) arrived cold and without any eggplant, which it was supposed to have. Their Food Street area is a complete pig stye. They cook 20 burgers up at once and throw them in a big pot next to a big pot of buns. I tried one ,one day. It tasted like rubber. Most of the food set out is not labeled so every covered pot must be opened and inspected. Again, not many good choices. I made a reservation for their BBQ Restaurant that turned into a disaster. Their computer was not working that day but the clerk recorded it on a sheet that she had. There were several names listed, and we chose 7:30. We arrived and found we were not on the list. 4 other couples who made their reservations the same day as us, had the same issue. We were eventually seated. We ordered drinks but they did not arrive until AFTER the food arrived. My wife ordered the Sangria and asked if it was red. She was told yes but when it arrived, it was white wine Sangria, which she does not drink. We placed our food orders and waited. They brought out the salad, but they only served 1 tiny salad per couple. My wife had to ask for silverware since they had never set up the table for us. They had to go next door to the buffet and set us up with small salad plates and not regular dinner plates. They brought out a ¼ cup of potato salad, a tablespoon of Cole slaw and 10 red kidney beans. For 2 people. After sitting there for 45 minutes, the server came out and informed my wife the brisket she had ordered was not available. 45 minutes! She chose something else. Meal finally came. When it did, it did include asparagus. ONE SINGLE SOLITARY ASPARAGUS FOR 2 PEOPLE! I started to get loud and made a point of surgically splitting the asparagus down the middle and placing half on my plate and half on my wife’s. Time for dessert. After a bit, the server again came over and informed us the dessert we ordered, Linzer Crumble Cake, was not available. This was the 2nd seating of 3 for this evening. What were the 9 PM seating people going to have? We left in disgust. Their Mexican restaurant (MAYA) was the only one worth eating in so we ate there twice. The food was both flavorful and plentiful. There were several staffers at the MAYA restaurant but only one seemed to be doing all the work. A young man was running back and forth bringing orders to the tables while the others were lollygagging around. Their bars are poorly run as well. The pool bar has a few people serving drinks but again, it is super slow. Their choices for liquors is unimpressive. I asked for a certain brand, but it was not available at their beach bar. It was only available at their lobby bar, on the other side of the resort. Top shelf up front, rotgut everywhere else. I asked for a rum and coke one day. They ran out of gas for their carbonation tanks. Luckily, I had a can from the room in my beach bag. My wife went up to the bar to order drinks and was ignored for several minutes while the staffer prepared drinks for men that had come there after her. The one saving grace for this place is, it is super clean. Our room was made up every day and the floors were washed, and we had clean towels. We witnessed them dusting the fire extinguishers and washing the floor in between giant flowerpots outside. Foot bath was power washed every evening. The restrooms were spotless and floors always dry. I would be embarrassed to recommend this place to people I know.
