As the name suggests, this resort hotel is really set up for people who want to play golf, perhaps do some fishing and only leave the resort to go on on over priced guided tours. You find these all over the world, and they are all pretty much then same. This one is larger than most, in a very nice setting, with an excellent golf course and quite good restaurant choices, although they are very pricey, for casual dining. There are additional restaurants down at the marina area. The rooms are comfortable, with excellent beds, plenty of space, and reasonable amenities. There is a safe in the room, nice robes, umbrella, a mini bar and we had an inside hammock and one outside as well. which was nice to relax on. Rooms on the pool area can get a little noisy, but that is to be expected, with so many people using the facility Housekeeping staff were pleasant, but never got to our room until late in the afternoon, suggesting staffing level problems, possibly. The beach is itself is pretty ordinary, but most people were in the huge pool area. Sunsets are OK, but much better at other beaches in the area. There is quite a lot of wildlife throughout the resort, particularly monkeys, toucans, iguana, etc. The resort includes a large time share section, which they are very keen to get you to buy into. All in all the resort is very nice, especially if you are looking for a relaxing vacation consisting of golf, spa, ocean fishing, relaxing around the pool, eating and guided tours. If you are not really looking for that style of vacation, it is still worth while considering for the proximity to other things and the comfort level.

This is a large friendly hotel with wonderful staff. We had a swim up pool which wad great. The only drawback is that at night the area opposite these rooms are used for conference dinners. One night was quick 8 -9 with relaxing music the second night was noisy and loud music played and a lot of people milling about until later. I asked to be moved on arrival when we saw the tanles being set up but told that couldnt happen. Overall our stay was great. Wonderful empty beach, good restaurants and a short walk from the marina with a few shops.

Only stayed there for two nights as we were on a tour around the country. Very nice hotel and well maintained. We had little interaction with the staff, but judging from the other reviews, it might have been a good thing. The beach is not very nice, not like the Carribean if that's what your expecting. Nice restaurants, but pricey as is the case for all of Costa Rica now. We had however a great meal at Coco's near by. We ordered the seafood platter. It was awesome, enough for four people, left a bunch as we couldn't eat it all. Reasonably priced at $48.00 US. As far as the hotel, would not give it more than a 4 star.

Beautiful Location! We loved the grounds and had a daily walk over to the marina and shops and restaurants nearby! There could have been more umbrellas around the pool area, sometimes hard to get a good spot. The beach isn’t the best but we went swimming but missed the waves,...
Beautiful Location! We loved the grounds and had a daily walk over to the marina and shops and restaurants nearby! There could have been more umbrellas around the pool area, sometimes hard to get a good spot. The beach isn’t the best but we went swimming but missed the waves, no fault of the hotel of course. The breakfast buffet was awesome-everything you could possibly imagine. We enjoyed the restaurants too! Rooms can get noisy with people talking in the halls and slamming their room doors. The 24/7 food outlet was very convenient. The customer service was excellent in every way! Everyone is so friendly and helpful!

I want to take a moment during my vacation to highlight the exceptional customer service provided by Andrey and his team. As an agent for United Airlines, I know firsthand how important excellent customer service is. We had a minor issue during our stay, but Andrey and his staff resolved it quickly and professionally. Andrey sets a great example as a leader, and it’s reflected in his team’s dedication and efficiency. I highly recommend this hotel and hope others will consider my recommendation when choosing a place to stay.

Living the dream! But do you hear your dreams? I’d give Los Suenos 5 stars if it wasn’t so noisy. My Apple Watch kept warning of a high decibel environment. There’s at least 4 competing sound systems going on simultaneously; wedding bands, Zoe bar, pool music and the worst offender Bingo! I complained and suggested they turn it down, but all I got in response was an “OMG!” Maybe a dozen people max were actually playing Bingo, but you can hear them calling out the numbers all over the hotel! Too loud for a small group (kids) activity! This is definitely a family resort, with plenty of kids stuff, not usually an issue for me unless it dominates the environment, which it does. If it wasn’t for Zoe’s swim up bar there’d be no respite from the sound in the pool area. It’s a fun time if you’re looking to party, but if you’re looking to relax by the pool, Lis Suenos isn’t the best choice.

Weeks before our arrival, Mr. Bernal Garro, Guest Experience Manager at Bahía de Herradura, ensured every detail was meticulously arranged to guarantee a memorable stay before, during, and after our visit, maintaining active and attentive communication to accommodate our requests. The hotel team is highly trained and incredibly friendly. From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional service from Thomas at the bell desk and Sharlyn Mora at reception. Our upgraded room, thanks to our status, offered stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and was impeccably equipped and spotless. The resort offers interactive activities that allowed us to learn more about the country and its local culture. The staff at every restaurant we visited (hostesses, servers, and even the chefs) were extraordinarily attentive and accommodating. The Sibú Spa stands out with its relaxation areas, arguably the best in the region. Additionally, we were impressed by the dedication of exceptional associates such as Tamara S., Andrey W., Axel or Alex from the Loss Prevention team, Don Sergio, and the entire bell desk team. A special thanks to the guide of the Iguana Tour, whose expertise and passion for teaching about the country’s flora and fauna were truly remarkable. We cannot thank Mr. Garro and the entire team enough for providing a first-class experience. Without a doubt, we look forward to returning in the future whenever our travels bring us back to this area. Pura vida! Caleb :)

This is a remarkably well operated resort with a impressive design. The grounds were beautiful and maintained perfectly. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. One complaint was that the only bar at the property closed right at 10:00 and the staff asked everyone to leave even if they just got their drinks. This was someone surprising, but does not change the fact that I would recommend this hotel.
